Thank you for choosing this product from Hommie and for placing your trust in
our company. Before using the the product for the first time, please read this
manual carefully to ensure your long-term enjoyment of this product. For future
reference, please keep this manual.
1 Scope of delivery
• PCIe Serial ATA controller card
• CD(Including driver and user manual)
2 Jumper settings
The PCIe Controller Card has two Serial ATA channels which can be used either
for internal devices or for external units via the eSATA interfaces. You can use the
jumpers to choose between the internal and external SATA connection sockets.

3 Installation
Note: Please always disconnect your PC completely from the power supply before
starting installation. Avoid touching sensitive components on the plug-in card and
in your PC.
Open the housing of your PC. Then
look for a free PCIe slot and carefully
remove the associated slot bracket.
Plug the PCIe card into the slot
provided. Make sure that the card sits
tightly in the slot. Then use a screw to
fix the card to the PC housing.

4 Connection of SATA drives
Now connect your internal hard disk or drives to the plug-in card. Check again
whether the data and power cables are correctly connected to your drives before
you close the PC housing again.
Next connect the power cable to your computer and start the operating system.
5 Installing the driver
If you are using the Windows 8.1 or Windows 8 operating systems, the driver will
install fully automatically. The PCIe card is ready to use after a few minutes.
If you wish to use the PCIe card with the Windows 7 operating system, please
proceed with installing the driver as follows.
Put the driver CD in your drive and close it. Find the driver in Computer and
double click to open.
You can start the driver installation by double clicking on the file named
“ASM1061”.
Click on the “Next” button after the installation assistant has opened.

The licence agreements are shown in the next step. Tick the box beside “I accept
the terms in the license agreement“ in order to launch the installation.
Please restart your system after successful installation. To do so, select the “Yes”
button. The PC will then restart automatically. Your extension card is ready to use
as soon as your operating system has loaded.

6 Safety instructions and liability disclaimer
Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with
mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use
in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water
and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to
sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic
components.
Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it
has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe
national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than
those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the
reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the
device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or
guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and
understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any
separate prior notice to this effect.
7 Disposal Instructions
The European Directive (WEEE) requires that old electrical and electronic
appliances shall be disposed of separately from normal household garbage for
optimal recycling. The component parts must be separated, collected and sent for
recycling or disposal in an environment-friendly manner. Otherwise, toxic and
dangerous substances could cause enduring damage to the environment if
disposed of incorrectly.
As a consumer you are legally obligated (Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act-
ElektroG) to return electronic equipment at the end of its lifetime to their
manufacturer, point of sale, public collection points or importer free of charge.
The relevant local laws apply here. The symbol on the product, in the instructions
or on its packing indicates these regulations. The reuse or recycling of materials
and old units makes an important contribution towards protecting the environment.

2 Jumper-Einstellungen
Die PCIe Controller Karte verfügt über zwei Serial-ATA Kanäle, die wahlweise für
interne Geräte oder über die eSATA-Schnittstellen für externe Geräte benutzt
werden können.
Mithilfe der Steckbrücken (Jumper) können Sie zwischen den internen und externen
SATA Anschluss-Buchsen wählen.

3 Einbau
Hinweis: Bitte trennen Sie Ihren Computer stets vollständig vom Stromnetz, bevor Sie
mit dem Einbau beginnen. Vermeiden Sie eine Berührung der empfindlichen
Bauteile auf der Steckkarte und in Ihrem Computer.
Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres
Computers. Anschließend suchen
Sie einen freien PCIe-Steckplatz und
entfernen vorsichtig das zugehörige
Slotblech.
Stecken Sie die PCIe-Karte in den
vorgesehenen Steckplatz. Achten
Sie darauf, dass die Karte fest im
Steckplatz sitzt. Befestigen Sie
anschließend die Karte mit einer
Schraube am PC-Gehäuse.
4 Anschluss von SATA Laufwerken
Schließen Sie nun Ihre internen Festplatten bzw. Laufwerke an die Steckkarte an.
Überprüfen Sie erneut, ob die Daten und Stromkabel korrekt mit Ihren Laufwerken
verbunden sind, bevor Sie das PC-Gehäuse wieder schließen.
Verbinden Sie anschließend das Stromkabel mit Ihrem Computer und starten Sie
dann das Betriebssystem.

5 Installation des Treibers
Sofern Sie das Betriebssystem Windows 8.1 oder Windows 8 benutzen, erfolgt die
Treiberinstallation vollautomatisch. Die PCIe-Karte ist nach wenigen Minuten
einsatzbereit.
Möchten Sie die PCIe-Karte mit dem Betriebssystem Windows 7 nutzen, fahren Sie
bitte mit der Treiber-Installation wie folgendermaßen beschrieben fort.
Stecken Sie die Treiber-CD in Ihr Laufwerk ein und schließen Sie sie. Suchen Sie
den Treiber in Computer und doppelklicken Sie, um es zu laufen.
Mit einem Doppelklick auf die Datei „ASM1061“ starten Sie die Treiberinstallation.
Nachdem sich der Installationsassistent geöffnet hat, klicken Sie auf die Schaltflä-
che „Next“.

Im nächsten Schritt werden Ihnen die Lizenzvereinbarungen angezeigt. Setzen Sie
den Haken bei „I accept the terms in a license agreement“, um die Installation zu
starten.
Bitte führen Sie nach erfolgreicher Installation einen Neustart Ihres Systems durch.
Wählen Sie dazu die Schaltfläche „Yes“ aus. Der Computer startet automatisch
neu.
Sobald Ihr Betriebssystem geladen wurde, ist Ihre Erweiterungskarte betriebsbereit.

6 Sicherheitshinweise und Haftungsausschluss
Versuchen Sie bitte nie, eigenständig Reparaturen oder Umbauten an der
Steckkarte vorzunehmen. Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt zu den Netzspannungen. Die
Steckkarte ist nur bei gezogenem Stecker spannungsfrei. Erden Sie sich
grundsätzlich, bevor Sie elektronische Bauteile beführen. Dies schützt vor
Beschädigungen durch elektrostatische Entladungen Ihres Körpers.
Durch elektrostatische Entladung (ESD) können irreparable Schäden an der
Steckkarte sowie an sämtlichen verbundenen Hardware-Komponenten entstehen!
Der Einbau der Steckkarte erfolgt auf eigene Gefahr.
Bitte lassen Sie den Einbau der Karte von einem Fachbetrieb ausführen, falls Sie
selbst keinerlei technische und praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich
Computer/Elektrotechnik besitzen. Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung für
Schäden und Folgeschäden unsachgemäßer Installation oder Nutzung.
Die Pflicht der Datensicherung obliegt allein dem Kunden.
Die Steckkarte ist nicht für den Betrieb im Freien zugelassen. Bitte verwenden Sie
die Karte daher ausschließlich im trockenen Bereich. Schützen Sie es vor hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit, Wasser und Schnee. Halten Sie auch unbedingt das Gerät von
hohen Temperaturen fern.
Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen plötzlichen Temperaturwechseln oder starken
Vibrationen aus, da dies die Elektronikteile beschädigen könnte.
Prüfen Sie vor der Verwendung das Gerät auf eventuelle Beschädigungen. Es sollte
nicht benutzt werden, wenn das Produkt einen Stoß abbekommen hat oder in
anderer Form beschädigt worden ist. Beachten Sie bitte auch die nationalen
Bestimmungen und Beschränkungen.
Nutzen Sie das Gerät nicht für andere Zwecke als die, die in der dieser Anleitung
beschrieben sind.

2 Impostazioni dei jumper
La scheda PCIe Controller è dotata di 2 canali ATA seriali che a
scelta possono essere utilizzate per apparecchi interni o, tramite gli
interfaccia eSATA, per apparecchi esterni.
Con l’aiuto dei ponticelli (jumper) si può scegliere tra le porte SATA
di collegamento interne ed esterne.

3 Montaggio
Nota: Staccare sempre il vostro computer completamente
dall’alimentazione elettrica prima di iniziare il montaggio. Prevenire
un contatto con i componenti sensibili sulla scheda e sul vostro
computer.
Aprire l’involucro del computer. Quin-
di cercare una fessura per PCIe libera
e togliere con attenzione la relativa
protezione.
Inserire la scheda PCIe nell’apposita
fessura. Controllare che la scheda
sia ben inserita nella fessura. Fissare
quindi la scheda con una vite all’invo-
lucro del PC.
4 Collegamento di drive SATA
Collegare ora i dischi rigidi o i drive interni alla scheda. Prima di
richiudere l’involucro del PC, controllare nuovamente che i cavi dei
dati e dell’alimentazione siano collegati correttamente con il loro
drive. Collegare quindi il cavo dell’alimentazione con il vostro
computer ed avviare il sistema operativo.

5 Installazione dei driver
Se si utilizza i sistemi operativi Windows 8.1 o Windows 8,
l’installazione dei driver è completamente automatica. La scheda
PCIe è pronta per l’uso in pochi minuti.
Se si desidera utilizzare la scheda PCIe con il sistema operativo
Windows 7, per l’installazione dei driver procedere come descritto
qui di seguito.
Inserire il driver CD nel driver e chiudere. Trovare il driver sul
computer e fare doppio clic per aprirlo.
Con un doppio click sul file “ASM1061” si avvia l’installazione dei
driver. Dopo che l’assistente per l’installazione si è aperto, ciccare
sul pulsante “Continua”.

Nella fase successiva vi viene illustrato l’accordo di licenza. Mettere
la spunta su “I accept the terms in a license agreement” per avviare
l’installazione.
Dopo aver completato con successo l’installazione riavviare il sistema.
A tal fine cliccare su “Yes”. Il computer verrà riavviato
automaticamente. Non appena il sistema operativo sarà caricato, la
scheda di estensione sarà pronta per l’uso.

6 Specifiche di sicurezza ed esclusione della responsabilità
Non tentare di aprire l’apparecchio per ripararlo o sistemarlo.
Evitare di entrare in contatto con la tensione di rete. Non
cortocircuitare il prodotto. L’apparecchio non è omologato per essere
utilizzato all’aperto, usarlo quindi solo in luoghi asciutti. Proteggerlo
da elevata umidità dell’aria, da acqua e neve. Non esporre
l’apparecchio a temperature elevate.
Non esporre l’apparecchio a cambi repentini di temperatura, né a

3 Montaje
Nota: Por favor, antes de iniciar instalación desconecte
completamente fuente de alimentación de su ordenador. Evite tocar
componentes sensibles en la tarjeta y en su ordenador.
Abra la caja de su ordenador. A
continuación, busque una ranura PCIe
libre y retire con cuidado la corre-
spondiente chapa de esta.
Inserte la tarjeta PCIe en la ranura
prevista. Cuide de que la tarjeta tenga
un asiento firme en la ranura. Fije a
continuación la tarjeta a la caja del PC
con un tornillo.
4 Conexión de unidades de disco SATA
Conecte ahora sus discos duros internos o unidades de disco a la
tarjeta. Antes de volver a cerrar la caja del PC, verifique de nuevo si
los cables de datos y de corriente están debidamente conectados a
sus unidades. Conecte a continuación el cable de alimentación a su
ordenador y arranque después el sistema operativo.
5 Instalación del controlador
Si está utilizando los sistemas operativos Windows 8,1 o Windows 8,
el controlador se instalará completamente automáticamente. La
tarjeta PCIe está lista para usarse después de unos minutos.
