GENERAL INFORMATION
oOnly use the SMB Rack for its intended purpose only.
Do not stack or load anything other than Combisafe
Steel Mesh Barriers No. 32XX.
oLoad box with maximum 50 barriers.
oSecure barriers in box from sliding or overturning, use
strap around box and barriers or use the Combisafe
Fixation Device Art. No. 11040 to secure the barriers.

USE
Assembly of the SMB Rack
While transporting the SMB Racks the vertical corner
tubes are disassembled to achieve a compact stacking.
Before loading the Rack with SMBs these tubes needs
to be assembled.

The tubes are secured with M10x70 bolts (Art.No.
100227) and lock nuts (Art.No. 100027).
Make sure bolts and nuts are tightened properly.

Lifting by crane
oUse a suitable 4-legged lifting chain or two
lifting slings with permissible load ability
(SWL) above 1020 kg.
oMaximum chain/sling spread angle 60°.

Lifting with forks
oThe Rack can be lifted from all sides with forks.
When lifting from long side, make sure that the
barriers are not in the way.
Caution must be exercised not to damage the
barriers with the fork lift.
oPlace forks centered on Rack and make sure
that forks are pushed in enough so the box
supports on both sides.
Stacking nets in the SMB Rack
It is important to stack the barriers correctly in the Rack.
Otherwise the barrier stack will become too high and
unstable.
There are two ways of stacking, described below.
However, independent of method chosen, it is
important to stack the barriers symmetrically to get the
correct balance of the SMB Rack.

Method 1
This method is the easiest, due to that the barriers are
stacked in the same direction, with the toe board
upwards according to Figure 5. (Picture showing
optional Fixation Device).
Make sure that the barriers are placed centered in the
Rack to avoid overturning. With this method up to 30
SMBs can be stacked in the SMB Rack, dependent of
the condition of the SMBs. (Figure 6).

Method 2
This method is used when absolute maximum number
of barriers must be stacked in each Rack.
Place every second barrier in the opposite direction,
i.e. every second net with the toe board upwards
according to Figure 7, (Picture showing optional
Fixation Device).
Make sure that the barriers are placed centered in the
Rack to avoid overturning. With this method 50 SMBs
can be stacked in the SMB Rack, dependent of the
condition of the SMBs (Figure 8).
