Victor Reader Trek Cheat Sheet
Leader Dogs for the Blind
Record Landmark:
1. Tap RECORD Key
2. Record (speak) landmark name into the microphone
3. Listen for VR Trek to play back recording
Guidance to Landmark:
1. Tap GO TO Key
2. Use 4 and 6 as LEFT and RIGHT arrow to find desired landmark
3. Tap CONFIRM or # to select desired landmark
4. Tap CONFIRM or # to select pedestrian mode, press and hold if in
vehicle
5. Follow route instructions

Open Area Mode:
“You will be guided as the crow flies”
•Press and hold OPEN AREA (6) to toggle in and out of Open Area
mode
•Distance will be announced every 10 seconds and decrease as
approaching destination
Using Clock Face Directions
•11-1 Continue straight
•2-4 Begin searching for right turn
•5-7 Turn around
•8-10 Begin searching for left turn
Helpful Tools:
•Press and hold 0 for Key Describer Mode
•Tap EXPLORE key to deactivate routes or cancel
•To lock: press and hold *

•To unlock: press 1, 2, 3
•To connect to Bluetooth: tap 7, arrow to enable Bluetooth
•To restart: press and hold POWER for seven seconds
•Toggle volume, speed, & tone: tap POWER when turned on,
toggle using volume arrows
