• Keep out of reach of children. Do not let children operate the product without supervision to avoid electric
shock or burns.
• Do not insert foreign objects like metal pieces, wires, or needles inside the product or gap; there is risk of
electric shock or malfunction of the product.
• If the product breaks or becomes unusable during the cleaning process, unplug the power cord to prevent
short circuit or malfunction.
• Do not place this product over flames or store it near heat or fire sources as this may damage the product or
cause malfunction, and dangerous situations may arise.
• Do not store this product on highly sloping, humid, hot, or slippery places or places that are vulnerable to
heat (plastic tablecloths, cloths, carpets, etc.) as this may cause injury including electric shock, fire, and fall or
property damage.
• To prevent accidents like fire or electric shock, use a power outlet with a rated current of 10A or higher and
AC voltage of 230 V with no other appliances plugged in.
• To avoid electric shock, do not plug or unplug with wet hands. When unplugging, be sure to hold the plug
itself instead of pulling on the power cord to avoid damaging the power cord.

• People with sensory or mental disabilities or who lack the relevant experience or knowledge (including
children) should not use this product. Use this product under the supervision and guidance of a professional.
Do not let children play with this product.
• If this product breaks, fire, electric shock, or injury may occur, so users should not disassemble the product
or replace any parts. Instead, send it to the Local Service Center for repair.
• To prevent children from suffocating while playing with the plastic bag, dispose of it immediately after
opening the package.
• Do not open the top cover or go near the metal parts or steam vents of the product while it is operating, as
this may cause burns.
• The altitude range at which this product operates normally is 0 - 2,000 m.i
• Avoid cooking acidic food (pH <5).

How to use
Precautions Before Use
Be sure not to exceed the maximum water line in using any of the functions,
and do not wash the rice in the inner pot.
❶Keep Warm
• After cooking, the rice cooker will automatically switch to Keep Warm mode. You can also
switch to Keep Warm mode from Standby mode by pressing the [Keep Warm] button.
• It is warmed for up to 12 hours.
• If kept warm for more than 12 hours, the rice will no longer be fresh but may discolor or smell.
❷Preset
Ex. If the current time for cooking porridge is 10 PM and it should be cooked by 6 AM tomorrow,
the timer should be set to 8 hours. (Timer calculated from the current time to the time it is cooked.)
①Put the washed rice into the inner pot and add water that matches the amount of rice.
②Connect the power and select the porridge mode using the jog dial on the control panel.
③The rice cooker will switch to Preset mode when you press the [Preset] button. Adjust the
time the cooker will complete cooking from the current time by rotating the dial.
④The rice cooker will switch to Porridge Preset mode when you press the Cook button (jog
dial), and the porridge will be fully cooked within the set time.
* Press the Cancel button to cancel the timer.

How to use
•Modes in which Preset can be used: Low-Starch, white rice, mixed grain, porridge
•In Preset mode, turn the function dial clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the
time by 10 minutes.
•The set time will be the estimated time, with 1 hour and 30 minutes as the minimum reservation
time and 24 hours as the longest reservation time. We recommend not exceeding the reservation
time of 12 hours.
❸ Low starch rice
①Place the inner pot on a flat surface and pour a cleanly washed amount of rice and water
into the inner pot.
The water should not exceed the maximum water level (marked on the inner pot).
②Put the tray into the inner pot and close the lid.
③Select the [Low starch] menu using the jog dial above the panel.
④Press the jog dial to switch to Cook mode.
⑤When cooking is finished, open the lid to take out the tray and discard the water. (Beware of
burns.)
** At this time, to cook low starch rice, pour water based on the lines on the left side whereas,
for normal white rice, pour water based on the lines on the right.
Ex) For instance, if 1 cupful of rice is added by using the enclosed measuring cup to cook low
starch rice, pour water up to the 1.0 line in the water level on the left.
❹White Rice/Mixed Grain
①Put the washed rice and a corresponding amount of water into the inner pot.
The water should not exceed the maximum water level.
②Close the lid and turn the jog dial on the control panel to select [White Rice or Mixed Grain]
mode.
③Press the Cook button (jog dial) to switch to Cook mode.
* Mixed grain should be sufficiently soaked in water.
❺Porridge
①Wash the prepared ingredients (white rice, ingredients) thoroughly and put them into the
inner pot.
②Put the right amount of water up to the water grid of the inner pot (not exceeding the
maximum).
③Close the lid and turn the jog dial on the control panel to select [Porridge] mode.
④Press the Cook button (jog dial) to switch to Cook mode.

- It is based on the enclosed measuring cup and use of purified water of 22°C.
- Above cooking time is the amount of time it takes to start from cooking and turn to keep warm mode.
- This may also vary depending on voltage, room temperature, season, amount of water and rice
varieties.
- When the cooking is done, mix the cooked rice evenly after the steaming time (15~20minutes) for
white rice, mixed rice and low starch rice

Steam
①Fill the inner pot with water, put the ingredients on the tray, and place the tray in the inner pot.
②Close the lid of the rice cooker and turn the jog dial on the control panel to select [Steamed
Food] mode.
③Press the Cook button (jog dial) to switch to Cook mode. When using [Steamed Food] mode,
add the 2 cups of water. (Take care not to splash water into the tray.)
7 Soup
①Wash the prepared ingredients (white rice, ingredients)
thoroughly and put them into the inner pot.
②Put the right amount of water up to the water grid of the inner pot (not exceeding the
maximum).
③Close the lid and turn the jog dial on the control panel to select [Soup] mode.
④Press the Cook button (jog dial) to switch to Cook mode. In Soup mode, turn the jog dial
clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the operating time by 5minutes from
10minutes to 60 minutes.
⑤After time set, press the jog dial to cook or it goes directly cooking mode after 5 seconds.
※The time it takes to cook white rice/low starch rice

※ When cleaning, make sure that the rice cooker is turned off and handle it carefully
so that it does not deform with the product when removing or inserting the inner pot.
Be careful not to wipe the inner pot with an iron or stiff scrubber as the coating on the
inner pot may come off.
❶To clean the detachable inner lid, open the lid of the rice cooker and hold the
removable inner pot cover with one hand.
With the other hand, press the inner pot cover release button (white button on the top
right of the lid) to release the inner pot cover. Then remove the steam valve cover on
the top of the inner pot cover by turning it counterclockwise.
❷Remove the inner pot, clean the inside and the outside of the pot with a soft sponge,
and then wipe it dry with a soft towel. Clean the removable inner pot cover and the
steam valve cover, wipe off the moisture with a soft towel, and assemble and install.
※The inner pot packing is made integral with the inner pot cover.
Do not detach it arbitrarily.

Important: For better protection of your purchase, fill out and mail this form to a
local distributor where you purchased the appliance and keep the original receipt.
This certifies that the Hurom Rice cooker is covered under warranty by HUROM to be
free from defects in material construction and workmanship.
Hurom provides warranty for one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original
purchaser. Coverage is valid only with proof of purchase from an Authorized Local
Distributor. (No international warranty available)
This warranty does not apply to damages caused by accident, misuse, abuse,
commercial use, alteration, failure to follow operating instructions, or damage
caused by parts or service unauthorized by HUROM . Damages caused by
transportation must be claimed with carrier. HUROM disclaims all responsibilities
for consequential damages from incidental losses caused by use of this appliance.
Please check the bottom of your Hurom product for a sticker with a barcode. This
barcode sticker helps verify a genuine Hurom product and identify the product
manufacturing date.
Hurom’s manufacturer’s warranty does not cover products with missing or damaged
barcode stickers. Products are to be inspected upon receipt.
