User Guide

Congratulations on your purchase of the iBlue Immobilizer. Prior to using the product,
please make sure you read these instructions carefully.
The package includes 1 pc. iBlue Immobilizer, 1 pc. plastic card containing the PUK code
and 1 pc. booklet. If any of the components are missing from the box, please immediately
contact the distributor by using any of the contact details that are outlined on the website
of the product.
The iBlue Immobilizer conforms to related standards, normative documents and carries
the marking. The full certi cate of conformity can be found on the following website:
www.iblue.eu.
The iBlue Immobilizer has EC type-approval number. The type-approval certi cate issued by the
National Transport Authority and the related test results can be found on the following website:
www.iblue.eu.
The (crossed-out waste bin) means that at the end of its lifecycle and within the Euro-
pean Union the product must be thrown into a separate container. Please, make sure you
do not dispose the product as household waste. The manufacturer undertakes to provide
customers with information on chemical substances used in the devices that is necessary
to ensure compliance with various acts and regulations. These pieces of information can be
found on the following website: www.iblue.eu.

General information
After turning the ignition key the iBlue Immobilizer prevents the engine from starting until
the operator of the vehicle approves this on his/her smartphone using the mobile applica-
tion specially designed to control the immobilizer.
The device can be installed in all vehicles equipped with a 12V nominal voltage battery and
use common negative ground.
WARNING!
The immobilizer can only be installed by a qualied automotive electrician expert, in line with
these use and installation instructions as the proper installation of the product cannot be
ensured in any other manner and that the meeting of this requirement does not represent
a disproportionate burden for the consumer. The unprofessional installation or transforma-
tion of the immobilizer jeopardises the secure operation of the vehicle. The manufacturer
and distributor of the iBlue Immobilizer disclaim
responsibility for any and all damage arising from
improper, mistaken or unprofessional installation
and commissioning. The installing expert must
fully complete the attached installation certicate
and hand it over to the operator of the vehicle
after installation is completed. Please, take extra
care to retain the installation certicate, as this is
needed for enforcing possible consumer claims
with regard to the immobilizer.
Directions for installation
WARNING!
The immobilizer can only be installed by a qualied automotive electrician expert, in line with
these directions for installation. The immobilizer can only be installed in a vehicle with an intact
electrical system that is in a good state of repair. When installing the immobilizer, the installing
expert must verify that this is the case and if these conditions are not in place, he must reject
the installation.
The immobilizer can be used to interrupt the circuits of two units needed to start the engine.
The device must be installed within the passenger compartment of the vehicle when voltage
is turned o. The place of installation must be protected in mechanical and electric terms,
from both leaking liquids and vapours. The place must be free of moving parts and ambient
temperature must be within the operating temperature range.
BEWARE!
Risk of injury
It is recommended to install the immobilizer when voltage is turned o. When connect-
ing to the vehicle’s wires use welded joints for all wires. The wires must be insulated, as
any rupture, dropping, decoupling or any other similar event can cause the vehicle to stop
immediately representing an increased risk of accident. The improper, mistaken or unpro-
fessional installation and commissioning of the immobilizer also represents an increased
risk of accident.

WARNING!
During installation the installing expert must verify that the circuit of which is interrupted
by the immobilizer does not trigger an error code in the on-board computer of the vehicle
that a ects the operational capability of the vehicle. It is important to power the immobilizer
from a wire that is controlled by the ignition switch and provides constant power during the
start up procedure. Once installation is complete, after having become familiar with informa-
tion outlined in the chapter on using the smartphone application, the operator of the vehicle
should verify if it really is possible to prevent the starting of the engine.

Maintenance
The device does not require any maintenance.
Functions of the iBlue Immobilizer
If turned on/armed, the immobilizer prevents the starting of the engine after turning the ignition
key. The device remains turned on/armed until we enter the proper PIN code. After entering the
proper PIN code, the device is disconnected.
When disconnected, the immobilizer does not prevent the starting of the engine. It is only possi-
ble to terminate the disconnected status by turning ignition o . Within 30 seconds after ignition
is turned o , the immobilizer gets armed automatically.

Using the iBlue Immobilizer
The free smartphone application necessary to operate the immobilizer can be downloaded
from AppStore (in case of smartphones with the iOS TM operating system), the Google Play
Store TM (in case of smartphones with the Android system) or from the Windows Store TM (in
case of smartphones with Windows) Look for the iBlue Immobilizer application!
IMPORTANT!
The product can be operated only with the iBlue Immobilizer application. The manufacturer
and distributor of the iBlue Immobilizer disclaim responsibility for any and all error or damage
arising from operation in any other manner or from the use of any harmful codes.
Communication between the smartphone application and the device is encrypted. Strength
of the encryption is 128 bit.

The immobilizer has two modes of operation.
In normal mode, entering the right PIN code enables the start up. The permission is valid
until the ignition is turned o.
In service mode the immobilizer automatically enables starting when ignition is turned on,
this time there is no need to use the PIN code.
The PUK code can be used to modify the PIN code. The card with the PUK code is included
in the box of the device.
IMPORTANT!
Please, make sure you keep the plastic card with the PUK code at a secure place so that it
cannot be accessed by unauthorised persons. The manufacturer and the distributor of the
iBlue Immobilizer disclaim responsibility for any and all damage arising from access to the
card by unauthorised persons.
During installation the mechanic does not need the card because the immobilizer automati-
cally starts in service mode. When starting to use the device with the smartphone for the rst
time, it is mandatory to enter the PUK code. Subsequently, it is necessary to enter a 6 digit
PIN code of Your choice for the immobilizer.
In case you forget the PIN code, you can use the PUK code to set up another PIN code. In
case you register the product on our website, later on it will be possible to retrieve the PUK
code electronically.
IMPORTANT!
In case you do not own a smartphone, or cannot access the PUK card, in order to operate
the product the only option is to retrieve the PUK code of the previously registered product.
Please make sure you do not share the PIN code with unauthorised persons! The manu-
facturer and the distributor of the iBlue Immobilizer disclaim responsibility for any and all
damage arising from the sharing of the code with unauthorised persons.

Important information!
After you turn the ignition key, the signals of the Bluetooth® radio in the immobilizer can be
detected only for 30 seconds. If during this time the smartphone cannot connect to the im-
mobilizer, the ignition key must again be set to the 0 position and then turned on again. After
quitting the application, the Bluetooth® connection is interrupted. For repeated connection,
the ignition key must again be set to the 0 position and then turned on again.
After establishing a Bluetooth® connection between the smartphone and the immobilizer,
3 attempts can be made to enter the proper PIN code. After entering a wrong PIN code
on three occasions, the device disconnects the Bluetooth® connection. In such a case, the
repeated entering of the PIN code can be approved by turning the ignition o and on again.
In case you would like the application to automatically enter the PIN code for you, approve
this function in the ’Settings’ panel that pops up after the successful entering of the PIN code.
IMPORTANT!
Be careful when approving the automatic entering of the PIN code (e.g. turn on a code pro-
tected screen lock) because in case your smartphone is used by unauthorised persons, your
vehicle may become unprotected. The manufacturer and the distributor of the iBlue Immo-
bilizer disclaim responsibility for any and all damage so arising.
The iBlue Immobilizer is compatible with all devices that use the iOS TM 8.0 (or newer) , An-
droid TM OS 4.3 (or newer) or Windows PhoneTM 8.1 update 1 (or newer) operating system and
features/operates Bluetooth® 4.0 wireless technology.
WARNING!
In case you have any questions regarding the installation or use of the iBlue immobilizer,
please contact the distributor using any of the contact details outlined on the product’s
website.
Please make sure you always use the iBlue Immobilizer cautiously and keep security in mind.
Similar to all other security devices, the iBlue Immobilizer can also not guarantee 100% safe-
ty for your properties. So the manufacturer and distributor of the iBlue Immobilizer disclaim
any and all responsibility for damage arising from the theft of or physical damage done to
your vehicle or properties left in it.
Furthermore, the manufacturer and distributor of the iBlue Immobilizer disclaim any and all
responsibility for defects and/or damage arising from the following acts: use and handling
other than described in these directions for use and installation, misuse, unprofessional
installation and use, unprofessional repair or transformation, unauthorised tampering, im-
proper storage, external impact (e.g. over-voltage, lightning), environmental impact (chemi-
cal impact, e.g. acidic rain, scale etc.), adverse environmental conditions (e.g. discolouration
due to freezing or harmful solar radiation), natural disaster or any other reason (not listed
above) arising after purchase.
