Quick Start Guide
Smart Camera
To assure the product performs at its best, please read the guide carefully before operation and keep it for
future use.

iView CAM1000 Smart Camera is part of a new generation of smart home devices that makes life simple and cozy! It
features compatibility and connectivity with Android OS (4.1 or higher), or iOS (8.1 or higher), using the Iview iHome
app

Install
1. Use the included mounting bracket to attach the camera to a fixed surface.
2. Or, stick the camera to an inclined surface using the provided adhesive tape.

Account Setup
1. Download the APP “iView iHome”fromApple Store or Google Play Store.
2. Open iView iHome and click Register.
3. Register either your phone number or email address and click NEXT.
4. You will receive a verification code via email or SMS. Enter the verification code in the top box, and use the bottom
text box to create a password. Click Confirm and your account is ready.

Device Setup
** Before setting up, make sure your phone or tablet is connected to your desired wireless network (Wi-Fi frequency
must be 2.4 Ghz).
1. Open iView iHome, choose add device or the [+] icon at the Top-Right corner.
2. To set up camera, please choose “Security camera”
3. Plug the camera into an outlet and the light will be blinking red. You will also hear an audible tone. Please confirm
that the indicator light is rapidly blinking. Click "QR Code" at the top-right corner. Then, click "Confirm indicator
rapidly blinks".
4. Input your WiFi network password and click "Confirm", scan the QR Code with the camera. Device will beep when
successfully scanned and indicator light will change from red to blue.

5. Device will connect. Process will take less than a minute. When the indicator reaches 100%, setup will be complete.
You will also be given the option to rename your device.
Note: When the camera is removed from your device list, the light on the camera will change from blue to red.

Sharing Device Control
By default, only one user has access to the camera. However, if you want to share the camera with other family members,
follow the instructions below:
Note: All other users MUST register an IView iHome ID before sharing
1. Choose the device that you wish to share.
2. Press the Option button located at the Top-Right corner of the screen.
3. Choose Device Sharing and select ADD, located at the bottom of the screen.
4. Enter the Email or Cell Phone number of anyone you wish to share access with.

5. You can delete users by tapping on their name and swiping to the left. You can also remove a user by clicking on
DELETE, located next to their user name.

Basic Functions
The following options will be available via the app.
Direction
Pan and Rotate your camera. You’ll have the ability to
manually pan and rotate your camera with the
directional pad, provided by the app.
You can also pan and rotate the camera by touching and
sliding the video feed in your desired direction
providing you with 360 degrees of vision
Speak
Turn on to be able to speak through the camera’s
speakers.
Alarm
Receive notifications whenever your camera detects
movement. You can also set the sensitivity of the alarm.
Record
Support 24H continuous recording with high capacity micro SD card. Recordings can also be saved to your phone.
Screenshot
Take a screenshot of the current video feed. Screenshots will be saved to your phone.
Video Functions
Full-Screen Video
You can switch to full-screen streaming by rotating your smart phone or by tapping on the icon on the bottom-right
corner of the video feed.
Standard/High Definition
You can touch this button to switch between standard and high-definition video.
Sound On/Off
Tap this icon to enable/disable sound on the video feed.

Q & A
Why did my device fail to connect?
1. Please make sure the device is powered on;
2. Make sure your provided network is 2.4GHz. If your router is dual-band (2.4GHz/5GHz), set it as a 2.4GHz network.
3. Check your device and make sure the indicator light is blinking red.
Repeated failed connections?
If your device has repeated connection failures, turn the device off for 30 seconds, and turn back on. Make sure to reset
your device before reconnecting.
My device is connected but having issues?
Check your network connection and make sure it’s functioning normally. Reset the device and reconnect if problem
persists..
My device is reset. Why is it still listed on the app?
If the device was reset, without the app, it will need to be removed from the app list, by selecting the device, and going
into the device’s menu. Select “REMOVE DEVICE” to completely delete it from the app.
How do I connect my device to a new router?
First, remove and reset the device via theAPP, and reconnect on the new router.
Repeated failed connections?
If your device has repeated connection failures, turn the device off for 30 seconds, and turn back on. Make sure to reset
your device before reconnecting.
Why isn’t the device recognizing the SD card?
Make sure to insert the SD card into the device while it is turned off. The SD card needs to be formatted in FAT32 (or
exFAT if over 32GB).
My app isn’t receiving notifications from my device?
Please confirm that the app is currently running on your smart phone. In your IHome app, check the device settings and
make sure notifications are enabled.
Wireless router setup:
1. Set encryption method to WPA2-PSK and authorization to AES, or set both as auto. Make sure your wireless network
isn’t set to 802.11n standard.
2. Make sure network name is in ENGLISH. Confirm that the device is within a reasonable distance from the router.
3. Check your network and see if it has reached its maximum occupancy. If so, disconnect devices that are not frequently
used
4. If MAC Filtering is enabled, add the devices MAC address to the “Allowed” list, to prevent connection failures.
5. When adding the new device, make sure the network password is correct.

How do I reset the device?
Using a pin, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. This will reset your device to its original factory settings.
Press and hold again for 1 second to enable Wi-Fi setup. Repeat if necessary.
How do I manage my shared devices?
Open the IView iHome App, go to you user Profile, and select "Device Sharing." You’ll be given a list of all of your
devices share by other users, and which users have access to which device. From here, you can manage who has access
to which device.
