3Management 3-1. How to wash and clean on a daily basis
Washing the ice maker (daily)
After the ice-making operation, wash the drum surface, material container, drum plate, etc. on a daily basis.
(Failure to do so may cause bacterial growth and bad smell due to the spoilage of the ice-making material.)
uBefore performing the cleaning operation, be sure to unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet.
uWhen washing the ice-maker, do not sprinkle water directly onto the product (except for the drum surface).
uWhen washing the ice-maker, use clean hands and cloth only.
uNever use abrasive powder, powder detergent, oil, hot water (40℃or above), rough wire brush, acids, thinner, benzene,
alkaline detergent, etc. Otherwise, the plastic surface may be damaged.
uBefore using cleaning agent or fungistatic agent, refer to the precaution on the container label of such products.
uResidual cleaning agent or fungistatic agent may cause adverse effect on health or rusty surface. Completely remove
any residuals of such products.
uNever clean the inside of the machine unless an authorized service technician is required to do so. It is very dangerous
to clean the inside of the machine.
uNever use a rough wire brush, etc. (may cause scratches on the surface of the ice-making plate, material container,
etc., resulting in bad smell, bacterial growth, etc. when the material gets caught within the scratches and goes bad).
uContainer designed to receive ice
uCleaning liquid: Dilute any commercially available neutral detergent with water at a ratio of 1:500 (add 1ℓ of water to
about 2.0㎖of cleaning liquid)
uFungistatic agent: Rubbing alcohol in spray container (concentration of 50~80%)
