When the new
washer arrives
Installationand removal
Whether new or just transported to a new house,
installation is extremely important for the correct
functioning of your washing machine.

be positioned so that it cannot

Extensions are unadvisable. In
case of absolute need, the
extension must have the same
diameterastheoriginalhoseand
mustnotexceed150cm.Incase
of wall draining pipes, their
efficiency must be checked by a
qualifiedtechnician.Ifthedwelling
is on one of the upper floors of a
building,theremaybedraintrap
problems causing the washing
machinetoloadandunloadwater
continuously.
In order to avoid such an
inconvenience,specialanti-drain
trapvalvesareavailableinshops.
Electric connection
Beforeconnectingtheappliance
totheelectricsocket,besurethat:
1) the electric socket is able to
sustain the appliance’s
maximum power load
indicated on the data plate
and in compliance with the
law;
2) thesupplyvoltageisincluded
withinthevaluesindicatedon
thedataplate;
3) thesocketiscompatiblewith
theappliance’splug.Ifnot,do
notuseadapters,but replace
eitherthesocketortheplug;
4) electrichouseholdappliances
must be equipped with an
“earthing”system.
Afterremovingtheappliancefrom
its packaging, check that it is
intact. If in doubt, contact a
qualifiedtechnicianimmediately.
The inside of the machine is
supported,fortransportation,by
3 screwsonthe backpanel.
Before using the washing
machine, remove the screws,
removethespacerstogetherwith
therubbertubesattachedtothem
(keepingalltheparts)andusethe
plasticplugsprovidedto fillinthe
holes.
Important:Usethecap(provided)
to close the 3 holes which housed
thestoppin,situatedintheright-hand
part of the lower back of the
washingmachine.
Levelling
The washing machine must be
levelled appropriatey in order to
guaranteeitscorrectfunctioning.To
level the appliance, the front feet
must be adjusted; the angle of
inclination,measuredaccordingto
the worktop, must not exceed 2°.
Whenplacedoncarpet,makesure
theventilationisnotreduced.
The front feet are adjustable.
Connection to the water
mains
Connect the supply pipe to the
water mains using a gas 3/4
attachment, fitting the filter and
rubber gasket supplied with the
appliance and ensuring that they
arefimlytightenedtothetaps.The
water supply marked Cmust be
connectedtothecoldwatertap;the
pipemarkedHmustbeconnected
tothehotwatertap.Bothpipesmay
beconnectedtothecoldwatertap
usingthespecialYconnectionwith
multipleattachments,suppliedwith
theappliance.

If the water piping is new or has
been unused for some time, run
the water before making the
connection until it is quite clear.
Rememberthatimpurewatermay
damagethewasher.Connectthe
other end of the pipe to the
appliance,atthetopon theright,
bythewaterconnection.

Connecting the drain hose
Therearetwohooks(rightorleft)
on the rear of your washing
machine to which the drain hose
istobefixed.Inserttheotherend
in a stand pipe or place it on the
edge of a sink or tub avoiding
excessive kinks and bending. It
should be placed at a height
ranging from 60 to 100 cm. If it is
necessary to fix the end of the
hoseataheightbelow60cmfrom
theground,itmustbefixedinthe

spacers and washers.
Should you move house
then these should be
replaced to support the
inside of the machine to

transporting the machine.
