Absocold guarantees to the original purchaser that this appliance will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of
one year from the date of installation, or eighteen (18) months after receipt at destination, whichever is earlier, when this freezer is
operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with this product.
FIVE FULL YEAR WARRANTY ON
HERMETIC COMPRESSOR UNIT
Absocold additionally guarantees, to the original purchaser only, the hermetic motor (compressor) furnished as a part of this freezer for
a period of five (5) years from the date of installation, or sixty-six (66) months after receipt at destination, whichever is earlier, when this
freezer is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with this product.
During the above warranty periods, Absocold and its authorized dealers or its representatives retain the option to repair or replace the
product, free of charge, if installation is within the fifty (50) states and the District of Columbia. If installation is outside the fifty (50)
states, the cost of installation is borne by the purchaser, and Absocold’s warranty obligations hereunder shall be limited to furnishing all
replacement parts and materials, freight prepaid, to the continental United States port designated by the purchaser.
In an effort to properly administer its warranty policy, Absocold or its representatives may require a proof-of-purchase document before
authorizing service or repair to the appliance under this warranty.
Warranty service information is available by simply contacting Absocold at 1 (800) 843-3714 or by contacting the dealer from whom you
purchased this product.
It shall be the responsibility of the purchaser to deliver any compact refrigerator or freezer of less than 4.0 cubic feet in capacity to the
nearest authorized service station, as designated by Absocold or its representatives, to obtain service under this warranty.
Except as provided herein, Absocold makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose.
This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

It will tell you how to operate and care for your freezer.
It also offers tips on how to get the best as well as lowest cost performance.

IMPORTANT WARNING
An empty refrigerator is a very dangerous attraction to children. Remove the gasket, latches, lids or doors from unused appliances, or take some other
action that will guarantee the appliance harmless.

• Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb in.

THINGS YOU OUGHT TO KNOW
WHEN YOUR FREEZER IS INSTALLED
INSPECT
Inspect for shipping damage. If unit is damaged or parts are missing, notify your Absocold dealer at once.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
The refrigerator is intended to be used in household and similar applications. Remove all packing material and tape. Install on a level floor or well-supported
counter. Avoid any direct sunlight, heat source, or moisture. This freezer is designed to be
freestanding
— that is, the appliance is to be installed at least 4”
from the wall and the cabinet bottom is at least ¾” to 1” above the floor or carpet in order to let the air circulate freely around the freezer.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
115 volts, 60 Hz.
ELECTRICAL GROUNDING
(for 115-volt models only)
Must be grounded. Uses 110-115 volts, 60 Hz (60 cycles A.C.) Do not use extension cord. Use three-prong plug, with three-prong grounded wall outlet.
Unless the above grounding method is followed, you are not protected against severe or lethal shock, in the event of a short circuit of an electrical component
or wiring of freezer.
In the even the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replace by a service agent or similar qualified person to avoid a potential hazard.
CAUTION Should you unplug freezer, allow at least three minutes before restarting in order to allow the start relay to function properly.
USE AND CARE INFORMATION
• TIPS ON EVERYDAY USE AND CARE
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
:
The freezer temperature can be adjusted by the Cold Control Knob. Freezer temperature will become lower as the control knob is set closer to the MAX
position. Freezer temperature will vary depending on the quality of food stored and the frequency with which the floor is opened. Ice cream can be used as an
indicator of freezer temperature. If it is too hard or too soft, adjust the Cold Control Knob accordingly.
HOW TO DEFROST:
Remove contents from freezer. Keep drip tray in place. Set Cold Control Knob to OFF position.
Defrosting may take up to several hours. To defrost faster:
* Leave door open * Place pans of hot water on frosted shelves * Wipe with warm towel or sponge
When defrosting is complete, remove drip tray and dispose of water. Set Cold Control back to original position.
FOR ALL CLEANING
: Mix 2 tablespoons baking soda or mild soap with 1 quart warm water. No strong cleaners, scouring powder or pads should be used.
Do not put the defrost tray in the dishwasher.
• THINGS TO REMEMBER
1. Allow 24 hours for your freezer to reach a new temperature setting.
2. The motor will start and stop often. It must do so in order to maintain the temperature you select.
3. Keep your freezer reasonably level.
4. Unplug freezer before doing anything with its electrical system.
5. Avoid damaging the refrigerant tubing while using, handling, moving your refrigerator to prevent increasing the risk of a leakage .
• BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
Read all Use & Care Information, as your questions may be answered. If not, find your model number (on upper back of freezer). Refer your model number and
the serial number to Absocold at (800) 843-3714 or (765) 935-7501. Parts shall be replaced with like components and that servicing shall be done by a service
agent or similar qualified person, with this minimize the risk of possible ignition due to incorrect parts or improper service.
FREEZER IS TOO WARM: Adjust Cold Control. Make sure door is closed properly.
MOISTURE COLLECTS ON THE OUTSIDE: Frequent door opening in highly humid conditions will cause this. Reduce door openings and reduce time door is
open. Make sure door seal is tight.
FREEZER IS NOISY: Make sure cabinet is level and not touching a wall or other surface. Make sure condenser coils are free of lint and dust. Normal noises
include refrigerant gurgling as it passes through tubes and the compressor clicking on and off.
WARNING!
• Your freezer should be connected directly to a grounded electrical wall outlet. No extension cords, multi-connection bars, etc. should be used.
• In case of prolonged power outage or an electrical disconnect of any type, please check your freezer for spoiled food.
• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.
• Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments unless they are the type recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other that those recommended by the manufacturer.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS - WAYS TO SAVE POWER, SAVE MONEY, AND STILL ENJOY YOUR FREEZER
• Reduce door openings.
• Close the door as soon as you can.
• Adjust temperature control to warmer setting when practical.
• Don’t allow more than 1/4” of frost to build up on evaporator coils.
• Keep your freezer away from stoves and other heat sources.
DANGER—ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Disconnect power before servicing.
NEVER USE A KNIFE OR METAL OBJECT TO REMOVE FROST OR ICE, AS THIS MAY SEVERELY DAMAGE THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.
