STEP 1
Before you power on the Bluetooth receiver (i.e iO PLAY) make sure all other
Bluetooth devices are disabled.
STEP 2A (For use with iO PLAY)
Select your MP3 device mode:
(Default Mode):»Any iPod with 30 pin data port. Press and
hold Left & Right button on iO PLAY for 3 seconds until you
hear 1 confirmation beep.
iPhone Mode:»Press and hold Left & Right buttons for 3
seconds until you hear 2 confirmation beeps.
Once the MP3 device mode has been selected for the first time it will be held
in memory of the iO PLAY.
STEP 2B (For use with iO TALK1)
Select your MP3 device mode:
(Default Mode):»Any iPod with 30 pin data port. This is the default mode
and iO Talk1 is preset with this mode selected.
iPhone Mode:»For use with iPhone.
> Press “Menu” on the iO Talk1 console.
> Scroll to and Select “Setup Wizard”
> Scroll to and Select “iPhone Mode”
> Scroll to “iPhone mode on”
> Select this mode. iO Talk1 will confirm you have
selected iPhone mode “Mode Selected”.
Once the MP3 device mode has been selected for the first time it will be held
in memory of the iO Talk1.
STEP 3
Continue to the GET CONNECTED section.
This section is only relevant when being used with iO Play or iO Talk. This
section is to make sure the correct “MP3 mode” is selected for the device
you intend to use with the iO Bluetooth car kit.

GET CONNECTED CHARGE & PLAY
STEP 2
Insert the Adaptor into the
30pin iPod data port.
STEP 1
Ensure your portable
device is charged.
This section will show you how to connect your iPod/ iPhone to your
Bluetooth receiver (e.g iO Bluetooth car kit).
STEP 3 (PAIRING)
Pairing and connecting with an iO Bluetooth Music streaming product (e.g iO
PLAY, iO TALK1, iO TALK2, iO TALK3).
Make sure the iPod device and Bluetooth Adaptor is within a 3mA.
range of the iO Music Streaming product (i.e. iO PLAY).
Note: If this is the first time connecting the Bluetooth adaptor
make sure all other bluetooth devices are turned off and make
sure no device is connected to the iO Bluetooth Car kit.
Press Play on the iPod/iPhone to activate the automatic pairingB.
mode. The Blue LED indicator, on the iO Adaptor, will flicker
repeatedly until a Bluetooth receiving device is found. Following
this, one short “BEEP” will sound from the paired unit to state you
have paired and connected.
When the pairing is complete you will hear your iPod/iPhoneC.
music being played from your iO Bluetooth music streaming
device (i.e iO PLAY). Meanwhile, the Blue LED indicator will flash
regularly and slowly.
If you want to pause music, simply press the Play/Pause button onD.
iPod or use the buttons on the iO console.
NOTE: In case the pairing procedure fails, please unplug the Adaptor wait
for a few seconds and repeat STEP 2.
NOTE: Once the first Connection has been completed successfully, the next time
you want to connect the iO Bluetooth Adaptor you will not have to run through the
“Initial Connection” section.
This Bluetooth Adaptor is designed to charge your iPod or iphone whilst your
are streaming your music wirelessly into an iO Bluetooth music streaming car
kit (e.g iO Play).
To charge your ipod or iphone whilst streaming music follow the following
steps:
STEP 1
ensure you have your ignition turned on.
STEP 2
insert the mini USB plug (1) into the base of the Charge and Play Bluetooth
adaptor.
STEP 2
Insert the Cigar lighter plug (2) into the vehicle’s cigar light socket. Your iPod /
iPhone will now start charging.
STEP 3
To confirm your iPod or iPhone is charging there will be a charging
indication icon displayed on your iPod /iPhone.

Armour Automotive warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under
normal use for a period of 12 months from the date of original purchase with receipt. Should service
be necessary under this warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect or malfunction during the
warranty period, Armour Automotive will repair or replace (at its discretion) the defective merchandise
with equivalent products. The warranty excludes damage or abuse caused by customer misuse. All

Ensure the ignition is turned on..A
Ensure no other device is connected to the iO Bluetooth Car kit device..A
When you press Play on your iPod/iPhone, ensure the iO Bluetooth Adaptor
LED is flashing quickly. This tells you it is in pairing mode.
I DO NOT HEAR ANY MUSIC FROM THE BLUETOOTH RECEIVER?.Q
When using iO PLAY, make sure the Bluetooth Adaptor has connected.A
to iO PLAY. The Skip forward and skip back lights will be illuminated when
connected. To reconnect follow the “GET CONNECTED”section.
Make sure the volume on the Bluetooth Receiver is turned up..A

BLUETOOTH ADAPTOR IS IN USE AND I HAVE A MOBILE PHONE
CONNECTED. DURING A PHONE CALL THE iPod/MP3 PLAYER DOES
NOT PAUSE.
Ensure the iO Bluetoot car kit is in “Default Mode” and NOT “iPhone Mode”..A
Disconnect the Bluetooth Adaptor, reset the vehicle ignition. Then go to the
“INITIAL CONNECTION” Section and set iO Bluetooth car kit to “Default
Mode”.
WHEN USING MY.Q iPHONE WITH MY iO BLUETOOTH CAR KIT & THE
BLUETOOTH ADAPTOR, MUSIC FROM THE iPHONE INTERRUPTS MY
PHONE CALL.
Ensure the iO Bluetooth car kit is in “iPhone Mode”. Disconnect the.A
Bluetooth Adaptor, reset the vehicle ignition. Then go to the “INITIAL
CONNECTION” Section and set your iO car kit to “iPhone Mode”.
I HAVE STREAMED MUSIC FROM MY A2DP MUSIC PHONE, NOW I.Q
CANNOT RECONNECT MY BLUETOOTH ADAPTOR?
Turn off the Bluetooth on your Bluetooth Mobile phone. Then re-connect.A
the Bluetooth Adaptor to the iO Bluetooth car kit following the “GET
CONNECTED” section in this Quick Start Guide. Once the Bluetooth Adaptor is
connected you may enable the Bluetooth on your mobile phone and re-connect
your phone.
