User Guide
Thank you for purchasing the Ivation Pro Light IPL Hair Removal
System. This User Guide is intended to provide you with guidelines
to ensure that operation of this product is safe and does not pose
risk to the user. Any use that does not conform to the guidelines
described in this User Guide may void the limited warranty.
Please read all directions before using the product and retain this guide for reference.
This product is intended for household use only.
This product is covered by a limited one-year warranty. Coverage is subject to limits
and exclusions. See warranty for details
Important Safety Precautions
1. This product is approved for use by individuals ages 18 and older.
2. Do NOT use on tanned or burned skin as this may cause permanent lightening or
darkening of skin.
3. Do NOT use if pregnant or attempting to become pregnant.
4. Individuals with epilepsy or who are prone to light-induced seizures should NOT use this
product. Light flashes may cause severe headaches or migraines.
5. Do NOT use this product on tattoos, brown or black spots on skin such as freckles, moles or
warts. This may cause swelling, temporary or permanent blisters or discoloration of the skin.
6. Do NOT use this product on head, neck, ears, nipples, genitalia or near the anus. This may
cause swelling, temporary or permanent blisters or discoloration of the skin.
7. Do NOT use this product is you have active skin conditions around the treated area such as
psoriasis, sores, eczema, burns, herpes simplex, wounds or a rash. If you have had these
conditions, please see a doctor to find out if you are cleared to use this unit.
8. Do NOT use this product if you have a history of kelodial scar formation, a known sensitivity
to light (photosensitivity), or are taking medication that increases the skin’s sensitivity to
light. These may include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents (aspirin, ibuprofen,
acitominophen, etc.), tetracyclines, phenothiszines, thiazide, diuretics, sulfonyluraes,
sulfonamides, DTIC, fluorouracil, vinblastine, griseofulvin, Alpha-Hydroxi Acids (AHAS),
Beta-Hydroxi Acids (BHAS) Retin-A, Accutane and/or tropical retinoids.
9. Do NOT use this product if you have a disease related to photosensitivity such as porphyria,
polymorphic light eruption, solar urticaria, lupus, etc. These conditions make skin more
sensitive to light treatment and could make treatment uncomfortable and cause skin
swelling, blisters or infection.
Operational Warnings
1. Do NOT operate this product without the lamps properly connected. Do not block air
intake vents.
2. Always wear GOGGLES when operating this product. Do not look directly into light pulses.
3. Always dispose of broken lamps according to local laws and regulations.
4. Always clean selected treatment area of skin. Do NOT apply cosmetics. This may
compromise performance of this product.
5. Use energy levels according to your skin type. If skin appears red after treatment apply
ice or cooling pad to affected area.
6. Apply skin moisture cream or sunscreen after treatment. Suggested: pure plant moisture
and repair cosmetics.
7. When unit is powered off, clean with wet cloth or cotton swab to prolong product life and
maximize the usefulness of the light treatment.
8. Clean main unit ONLY with a dry cloth. Do NOT use alcohol or other chemical solvent or liquid.
9. Store in a dry, ventilated place and away from children.
10. To avoid electric shock do NOT place metal objects in the air ventilation holes.
11. If the unit has been immersed in water or has been dropped or broken, return to
manufacturer for repair assessment. Unplug the unit before handling if wet.
12. Do not disassemble or attempt to repair.
13. If the unit fails to operate properly, return to manufacturer for repair.

Before First Use
Before using the Pro Light Hair Removal System for the first time, it is suggested that you
perform a skin sensitivity test. Follow these instructions:
1. Attach HR Lamp to main unit.
2. Press trigger to apply two (2) or three (3) light pulses to a clean area of skin.
3. Wait 60 minutes and check for any reaction in skin.
4. If there is no redness or other skin reaction, proceed to use this product as needed.
Getting Started
1. Clean lens of your selected treatment lamp (HR) with a wet cloth or cotton swab to
ensure that there is no hair or dust, which may interfere with the unit’s performance.
2. Connect AC adapter to the main unit and to a wall outlet.
3. Ensure that the unit will be used away from all liquids.
4. Ensure that the treatment lamp is securely connected to the main unit.
5. When the unit is plugged in, green status indicator lights (on
the left and right sides of the unit) will flash.
6. Press the POWER button for two (2) seconds to turn the unit
on. The LCD screen with light and the internal fan will start (indicated by a FAN icon on
the LCD).
7. When the status indicator flashes, the unit is ready to use.
8. Once the lamp contacts skin, the indicator will turn green and ready to emit light pulses.
9. Short press the POWER button to adjust the energy level (1-5)
10. Apply the treatment lamp directly to skin holding the unit vertically.
11. The unit will turn off automatically if not in use for more than five (5) minutes
Adjusting Energy Level
Select energy level according to your skin tolerance and increase gradually from level 1 to 5.
Apply only ONE pulse at a time, moving around the treated area. Wait at least 20 seconds
before applying a second pulse to a given area of skin. Multiple repeated pulses may cause
skin damage.
Using Treatment Lamp
• Used for the removal of lip hair, body and leg hair, bikini line hair and other unwanted or
unsightly hair.
• The effectiveness depends on skin tone (see chart below) and is not suitable for white or
very light colored hair.
For Hair removal, follow these steps:
1. Shave and clean selected area.
2. Wear goggles to protect eyes.
3. Choose energy level (1-5).
4. Allow lamp to directly touch skin while holding main unit vertically.
5. Repeat steps 1 – 4 up to three times.
6. Apply anti-hair (hair removal) cream after treatment.
7. Power the unit OFF using a wet cloth of cotton swab to clean lamp window.
HR Treatment Regimen
Between seven (7) and nine (9) treatments are suggested.
• First three (3) treatments – once per week
• Remaining four (4) to six (6) treatments – once every 2- 3- weeks.
• Repeat treatments every two months as needed.
