safety
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains
supply before connecting/disconnecting other
devices or moving the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the mains socket during
a lightning storm.
• In the interests of safety and to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption, never leave
the unit switched on while unattended for
long periods of time, e.g. overnight, while on
holiday or while out of the house. Switch it
o and disconnect the mains cable from the
mains socket.
mains Cable
• Make sure the unit or unit stand is not
resting on top of the mains cable, as the
weight of the unit may damage the mains
cable and create a safety hazard.
• If the mains cable is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent, or similarly qualied persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
The mains plug is used as disconnect
device, the disconnect device shall remain
readily operable.

• Do not place the unit on or near appliances
which may cause electromagnetic interference.
If you do, it may adversely aect the operating
performance of the unit, and cause a distorted
picture or sound.
batteries
• Batteries used in the remote control for this
unit are easily swallowed by young children
and this is dangerous.
• Keep loose batteries away from young children
and make sure that the battery holder tray is
secure in the remote control. Seek medical
advice if you believe a cell has been swallowed.
• Please dispose of batteries correctly by
following the guidance in this manual.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or
sources of excessive heat.
• Do not ingest the battery, Chemical Burn
Hazard.
• The remote control supplied with this product
contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/
button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause
severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can
lead to death.
• Keep new and used battery away from

remove the insulating strip from the remote control
Remove the insulating mylar strip from the battery if the
battery is being used for the rst time. It is located at the
bottom back side of the remote control.
2. Pull out the battery holder and remove the old
battery.
battery replacement for the remote control
The remote control requires a CR2025, 3V Lithium battery.
1. Slide and hold the battery release tab in the direction
of the arrow.
3. Replace with a new battery.
4. Insert the battery holder back into the remote control.
handling the battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could cause
re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and –) indications in the battery
compartment.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with the local
regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily swallowed by
young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from young children and
make sure that the battery holder tray is secure in the remote control. Seek medical advice if you
believe a cell has been swallowed.

remote control operation range
Point the remote control at the unit no more than 5 metres
from the remote control sensor and within 40° of the front
of the unit. The operating distance may vary depending on
the brightness of the room.
handling the remote control
• Take care of your ngernails when you press and hold the battery release tab.
• Do not drop or cause impact to the remote control.
• Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time, as it could
cause corrosion or battery leakage and may result in physical injury and/or property damage
including re.

power source
connecting to the mains supply
• This unit was designed to
operate with an AC 220-240V
power supply.
• Connecting the unit to any other
power source may cause damage
to the unit. Unwind the mains
cable to its full length. Connect
the end of the cable to the AC~
Socket at the bottom of the unit
and then connect the mains plug
to the mains socket The unit is
now connected and ready to use.
• To switch the unit o completely,
unplug the mains cable from the mains socket.
While connecting the unit with the mains cable, do not place the unit inverted to avoid
damages to the lightning connector.
general operation
powering on/o
• When you rst connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will be in STANDBY mode.
The standby indicator will light up red.
• Press the Standby button on the unit or remote control to switch on the unit. The unit
will enter the last selected mode.
• Press Standby button to switch the unit to STANDBY mode.
• To completely turn the unit o, switch the unit back to standby mode, and then
disconnect the unit from the mains socket.
If the unit is idle for more than 15 minutes, it will automatically switch to STANDBY mode.
Press the Standby button to switch on the unit again.
selecting a mode
Press the SOURCE button repeatedly on the unit or press the AUX, BT (Bluetooth), USB,
DOCK buttons on the remote control to select the desired mode.
adjusting the volume
• Press the VOL+/VOL– button to adjust the volume.
• If you wish to switch the sound o, press the MUTE button on the remote control. Press
the MUTE button again or the VOL+/VOL– button to resume normal listening.
Select Equaliser (EQ) Eect
• Press the DFLT/POP/CLASSIC/JAZZ/ROCK button on the remote control to select the
preset equaliser eect.

Bluetooth® audio.
1. When the unit is in on mode, press the SOURCE button on on the unit or the BT
button on the remote control to switch to Bluetooth® mode. The BT Indicator will ash
in blue. The system is now in pairing mode.
2. Switch on the Bluetooth® function of your device. Search for the name“IBTLI17” in the
Bluetooth® device list on your device.
3. Select “IBTLI17” and enter “0000” for the password if necessary.
4. When connection is successful, the unit will prompt “PAIRED“. Your unit is now ready
for use.
• When the unit has found the last paired Bluetooth® device, it will connect automatically.
• Press and hold /PAIR button on the unit or PAIR button on the remote control to cancel
the current Bluetooth® connection. The unit will prompt “PAIRING“. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to
connect a new Bluetooth® device.
• If the media controls (Play/Pause, Skip/Search or Volume) on the unit do not work during
Bluetooth playback, please ensure the app on your device is up to date or try the default
audio playback app for your device (i.e. iTunes, Google Play Music).
• If the unit is not paired in approximate 15 minutes, it will exit pairing mode and return to standby
mode.
• The operating range of the Bluetooth® audio for this unit is 8 metres, without obstruction. Walls,
structures and other objects may aect the Bluetooth® range.
aux in operation
1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm stereo audio cable to
connect your audio device to the AUX IN socket at the rear of the unit.
2. Connect the mains cable to the mains socket.
3. Press button on the unit or remote control to switch on the unit
4. Press SOURCE button on the unit repeatedly or AUX button on the remote control to
select AUX IN mode. The AUX IN mode Indicator will light up green.
5. In AUX IN mode, the unit will automatically start playback. You may operate your
audio device directly for playback features.
usb operation
1. Before connecting to the mains socket, insert the USB device into the USB socket.
2. Connect the mains cable to the mains socket.
3. Press button on the unit or remote control to switch on the unit
4. Press SOURCE button on the unit repeatedly or USB button on the remote control to
select USB mode. The USB mode Indicator will light up orange.
5. In USB mode, the unit will automatically start playback.
The USB port only supports MP3 playback.

iPod / iPhone / iPad operation
Remove the protective case from your device for the best docking connection.

1. When the unit is in on mode, press the SOURCE Button on the unit repeatedly or
DOCK button on the remote control to select DOCK mode. The DOCK Indicator will
light up white.
2. Insert your iPhone into the dock.
3. If the iPhone/iPod/iPad is connected, the unit will start playback, it will take around
10 seconds to allow the unit to identify the iPod/iPhone/iPad. The iPod/iPhone/iPad
battery will start to charge automatically and will continue charging.
4. Select your desired music, or videos, etc., and play the connected iPod/iPhone/iPad as
usual.
You can use either the iPod/iPhone/iPad or:
• Press the /PAIR button on the unit or PAIR button on the remote control to start/
pause playback.
• Press the / button on the remote control to select the previous/next track.
• Press the VOL+/VOL– button on the unit or remote control to adjust the volume.
• Press the DFLT/POP/CLASSIC/JAZZ/ROCK button on the remote control to select
the preset equaliser eect.
• To control the menu operation of iPad series, iPhone series, iPod touch series and iPod nano 7th
generation, you need to enter the music menu on your iPod/iPhone/iPad rst.
• This manual provides the basic instructions of menu navigation on iPod/iPhone/iPad. For advance
operations, please refer to your iPod/iPhone/iPad instructions.
• The unit cannot show any music information of your iPod/iPhone/iPad. Please view the music
information from your iPod/iPhone/iPad display.
• To avoid damaging your iPod/iPhone/iPad or the unit please take care when inserting and
removing your iPod/iPhone/iPad from the dock.

charging your iPod / iPhone / iPad
1. Your iPod/iPhone/iPad has an internal non-removable battery. The battery may need
to be charged if it has not been used for a while.
2. You can automatically charge the iPod/iPhone/iPad through the unit when it is docked.
• If you charge the iPod/iPhone/iPad while playing music, it may take a longer time.
• In any time, you can control the iPod/iPhone/iPad player on the unit or iPod/iPhone/iPad player
itself while the unit in the iPod/iPhone/iPad mode.
• 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation iPods cannot be charged.
maintenance
Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the mains socket before cleaning.
To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
• Do not spray an aerosol at or near the unit.

• Vibrations may have caused the iPod/iPhone/iPad to come loose from

• Make sure the iPod/iPhone/iPad is switched on.
• If the unit is in pause mode, press the /PAIR button on the unit or
on the remote control to resume playback.

• Ensure the Bluetooth® function is activated on your Bluetooth® device.
• Ensure the unit is in pairing mode.
• Re-pair the unit to the device.
When in audio on
