User instruction
1. Basic operation
1. 1Power supply
It is powered by built-in lithium-battery. When the remaining capacity of battery
indication shows , please charge in time. Charge methods:
1) Connect the charger with power source, and then connect the USB interface of the
charger with the USB jack of this unit.
2) Connect the unit with PC (should be in open state) via USB cable.
After using one of above-mentioned charge method, the unit will be in charge state. The
battery indication icon will move from empty to full state circularly. Usually speaking,
the charge time for the unit is around 3 to 4 hours.
NOTE: 1) Make sure the switch button in “off” position while charging.
2) While the battery indicator becomes full, it’s suggested charge 1 or 2 more
hours during charging.
1.2. Power on/off
1) When switch button is in “off”, the unit then power off can not be powered on.
2) When switch button is in “on” state, the unit will power on automatically, display
“JWD…”/ “Wait…” in turn, then enter main menu, namely working mode interface.

Then the “on”/ “off” state is controlled by “ ”, details as below:
Power off: Under “on” state, press and hold “ ” till it displays “BYEBYE” to power
off.
Power on: Under “off” state, press and hold button to power on, then it displays
“JWD”/ “Wait…” in turn, and then enter the previous working mode when power off last
time.
Note: under the state of pause or stop, if the unit is set up the time of automatic power off
under the power-saving mode, it will power off automatically when no any operation in
the time of automatic power off set up.
1.3 Working State and “One button REC/DV”
1.3.1 Working mode
It includes two working states, can be selected by dial “Video/Audio”; Under DVR mode,
there are 3 working modes: DVR/Music/Setting.
1.3.2 “One button REC/DV”
A) Under power-on state, dial “Video/Audio” to “Video”, then dial “STOP/DV&REC”
to “DV&REC”, the unit will enter video recording directly.
B) Under power-on state, dial “Video/Audio” to “Audio”, then dial “STOP/DV&REC”
to “DV&REC”, the unit will enter audio recording directly.

1) To start video or audio recording, if the unit is not in the state of stop, it will stop the
current job and then start recording automatically; if the unit is in the stop state, it will
start recording immediately.
2) Under non-recording state, it can carry out the shift between DVR and Video/Audio
by dial “Video/Audio”
3) Under non-recording state, if the button “Video/Audio” in “Audio” position, the unit
will work in DVR mode. Press and hold “M” to enter DVR selection modes:
DVR/Music/Setting, press or to select, press “M” to enter the mode chosen.
NOTE: 1) After switching “One button REC/DV”, it will display “A moment,
please….” don’t switch the “switch” button or other buttons, operate it later.
2) Don’t dial power supply button to OFF position directly, or it will cause the current
video/audio recording file cannot be save.
2. Video Recording
2.1 Start video-recording
Dial the button “Video/Audio” to “Video”, the unit will enter video recording state, dial
shortcut key “STOP/DV&REC” to “DV/REC”, it will enter video recording mode and
start video recording.
NOTE: 1) Don’t let the unit face strong sunlight, or it will damage the lens or freeze the

unit.
2) If the display shows “Disk full”, it indicates no enough space, please delete part of
files to release room.
3) If the display shows “Directory full”, it indicates too many files, please delete parts of
files in the directory to start video recording.
2.2 Blank screen protection during DV
Under Video mode, the screen shows the current Video file: press and hold “M” for 2s to
blank the screen; press and hold “M” for 2s again to open the screen show.
2.3 Save the video recording file
Dial “STOP/DV&REC” to “STOP”, the unit will save the current video recording file; it
will shift to the listing of the current video file after saved.
NOTE: The unit will save the video recording file by section; it will save the file
automatically after recoding 1.9GB file (around 1h); the video contents will generate
new file (like DV001-1) and the unit will continue working. There exist about 4s gap
between the previous and next file, please kindly note it.
2.4 .1 Playback video recording file
Press to playback the video recording file after saving it, press “STOP” to return the
main menu gradually.

2.4 .2 Playback video recording file via PC
Connect the unit with the open PC, open “My computer”, find and open the “Mobile
disk” then check the VIDEO folder, the content in this folder is the one you recorded,
double click one of the files to playback.
NOTE: The video recording file cannot be played if no video-seeing software installed.
2.5 Delete video recording files
In the listing interface of video recording files, press “M” to pop up delete menu
including “delete the current file”, “delete all the files”, press or to select, press
“M” to confirm. If select “YES” and press “M” to delete, if select “NO” and press “M”
to cancel the delete operation, press “STOP” to return the main menu gradually.
3. DVR
3.1 Start recording
Dial the button “Video/Audio” to “Audio”, the unit will enter DVR states: dial the button
“STOP/DV&REC” to “DV/REC”, the unit will enter DVR mode and start recording.
3.2 Pause recording
Under the recording state, press “ ” to pause recording; under the pause state, press
“ ” again to resume recording
3.3 Save recording

“STOP/DV&REC” to “STOP”, the unit will save the recording file. The unit will shift to
the listing interface of current recording file.
NOTES: 1) If the display shows “Disk full”, it indicates no enough space, please delete
part of files to release room.
2) If the display shows “Directory full”, it indicates too many files, please delete parts of
files in the directory to start recording.
3.4 Playback recording/music files
Under DVR mode, press “M” to pop up “DVR”/ “Music” and “Settings”, press or
to select “DVR” or “Music”, press “M” to enter the recording or Music file listing, press
to playback the current recording or music file, press “STOP” to return.
3.5 Playback menu
When playback recording file, press “M” to pop up “Play mode”, “A-B repeat”, “Replay
times”, “Replay gap”, press or to select “Play mode” and press “M” to enter.
A. Play mode
Under playback state, press “M” to enter playback menu and then press or to
select “Sequence/Replay one/Replay all/Random”, press “M” to confirm the selection,
press “STOP” to return.
B. Repeat Mode

Under the playback state, press “M” to enter the playback menu and then press or
to select “A-B repeat”, press “M” to enter and return to playback interface, “A” will be
in white font, press again, the display shows A-B, both A and B will be in white fonts;
the unit will repeat playing the section between A and B after A-B fixed, icon A-B will
disappear automatically and resume normal playback after it reaches the fixed times.
C. Replay times
Under the playback state, press “M” to enter the playback menu and then press or
to select “Replay times”, press “M” again to enter, press or to adjust it (replay
times can be selected between 1~10), press “M” to confirm after well adjusted, press
“STOP” to return.
D. Replay gap
Under the playback state, press “M” to enter the playback menu and then press or
to select “Replay gap”, press “M” again to enter, press or to adjust it (replay times
can be selected between 1~7s), press “M” to confirm after well adjusted, press “STOP”
to return.
3.6 Delete files
Dial button “Video/Audio” to “Audio”, the unit will enter DVR mode, press and hold
“M” to pop up 2 options: “DVR”, “Music” and “Setting”, press or to select

“DVR” or “Music”, press “M” to confirm the entry of file listing; in the DVR or Music
file listing, press “M” to pop up delete menu “Delete one” and “Delete all”.
(1) Delete one
In the delete interface, press or to select “Delete one”, press “M” to enter the inter
face of “Delete one”. It will display “YES” and “NO”, press or to select, if select
“YES” and press “M” to delete the current file; if select “NO” and press “M” to cancel
deletion and return to file listing.
(2) Delete all
In the delete interface, press or to select “Delete one”, press “M” to enter the inter
face of “Delete all”. It will display “YES” and “NO”, press or to select, if select
“YES” and press “M” to delete all the files in current folder; if select “NO” and press
“M” to cancel deletion and return to file listing.
4. Setting
Used to adjust the function parameter related with system and indicate the status.
Dial the button “Video/Audio” to “Audio”, the unit will work in DVR mode, press and
hold “M” to pop up 2 options: “DVR”, “Music” and “Setting”, press or to select
“Setting”, press “M” to confirm the entry. Press or to select “Select Memory”,
“Noise Cut”, “Backlight Time”, “Power Off”, “Date & Time”, “Language” and

“Advanced” option, press “M” to confirm the entry and press “STOP” to return.
4.1 Select Memory
Press or to select “Select Memory”, press “M” to confirm the entry. Press or
to select “Internal Memory” or “Card Memory”, press “M” to confirm the selection.
If select “Internal Memory”, the video or audio recording files will be save in the unit
memory; if select “Card Memory”, the video or audio recording files will be save in the
TF card, press “STOP” to return.
4.2 Noise Cut
Press or to select “Noise Cut” and press “M” to enter, select “Disable” or
“Enable”. “Enable” used to record in the noisy condition like subway, Main Street and
supper market, to filtrate and reduce the noisy background sound.
Note: Please select “Disable” when to record in the quite surroundings.
4.3 Backlight time
Press or to select “Backlight Time”, press “M” to confirm the entry. Press or
to select the corresponding time, press “M” to confirm after selection and press
“STOP” to return.
4.4 Power Off
Press or to select “Power Off”, press “M” to confirm the entry. Press or to

select “Off time” or “Sleep Time”, press “M” to confirm after selection and press
“STOP” to return.
4.5 Date & Time
A) Set Date
Press or to select “Year”, “Month” and “Date”, the date will in yellow color if
selected, press “+” or “-“ to adjust it. Press “M” to confirm after adjusted well and press
“STOP” to return.
B) Set Time
Press or to select “Hour” and “Minute”, the date will in yellow color if selected,
press “+” or “-“to adjust it. Press “M” to confirm after adjusted well and press “STOP”
to return.
4.6 Language
Press or to select “Language”, press “M” to confirm the entry. Press or to
select “Simplified Chinese”, “Traditional Chinese” or “English”, press “M” to confirm
after selection and press “STOP” to return.
4.7 Advance
Press or to select “Advanced”, press “M” to confirm the entry. Press or to
select “Information”, “Format internal memory” , “Format Card” or “Reset Default

Settings”, press “M” to confirm after selection and press “STOP” to return.
4.7.1 Information
Press or to select “Information” after enter the interface of “Advanced”, press
“M” to enter and check “Firmware version”, “Memory Total Space”, “Memory Free
Space”, “Card Capacity” and “Card Free Space”.
4.7.2 Format Internal Memory
Press or to select “Format Internal Memory”, press “M” to enter. Do back up the
important files in the internal memory if need format the internal memory.
4.7.3 Format Card Memory
Press or to select “Format Card Memory”, press “M” to enter. Do back up the
important files in the TF Card if need format the card memory.
4.7.4 Reset Default Settings
Press or to select “Reset Default Settings”, press “M” to enter. Select “YES” to
reset factory default settings after entry.
5. Use TF card
1) Inset the TF card
Dial the power supply button to “OFF”, insert the TF card according to the correct
indication shown on the unit.

2) Read the TF card
Please refer to above mentioned 4.1 “Select Memory” if need to choose TF card to work.
Connect the unit with the PC when to playback the music file via the unit, open “My
computer” after connection, there are 2 mobile disks: 1 is internal memory disk, another
is card memory disk. Open the relative disk, it will show “DVR” recording file folder,
“Music” file folder, “Video” folder and “System” folder. Copy the music files to the
“Music” folder of internal or card memory.
Note: 1) if select “Card Memory”, letter “SD” will show on the top left of the screen.
2) Do choose high quality and high speed TF card when buy TF card.
3) Remove the TF card
Make sure to shut down the unit before remove the TF card from the unit. It will damage
the TF card, lose the file data and freeze the unit if take the card in the open state.
6. Connect with PC
A. Installation of Driver
Note: Only Window 98 needs driver. It can be used normally without driver in Windows
2000/ XP/ ME. Do not connect the player with the PC before or during installation.
a. Put the CD into the CD-ROM.

b. Open the “DRIVE” folder.
c. Double click SETUP.EXE, a dialogue block as the below picture appears:
Click NEXT>NEXT>NEXT >NEXT >CLOSE as per the prompt ion. The driver is
installed then.
B. Use USB Disk
The player is a standard USB Disk, supports these systems including Windows98 (it

needs to install the driver), over Windows2K (it's unnecessary to install the driver), Mac
OS X 10.3 and above, Linux 2.4.2 and above.
The player supports USB power supply. In Ready state, short press MENU key to exit to
main menu, and select the working mode to enter.
1). Connect with PC
Connect the player with the PC via USB cable, the LCD displays “PC---”, a “removable
disk” appears in “My Computer”.
2). Upload/ Download files
So long as the driver program has been properly installed, the MP3 player itself is a

mobile disk after being connected to a computer. Therefore the file transfer is operated in
the same way as the ordinary disk.
Note: Do not unplug the MP3 player during the process of uploading or downloading
files; otherwise, it may cause dysfunction of the unit due to the damage to the software.

7. Trouble Shooting
1. Why doesn’t the memory size displayed under the operational system match the
figure on the tab?
The software in the DVR player takes up a small portion of the memory, which coincides
with the corresponding standards.
2. What causes the DVR player running slowly?
Using or deleting files frequently in a long time will generate fragments in the flash
memory, like fragment in the hard disk, which will cause the player running slowly.
3. Why the screenshot becomes not smoothly during video recording?
The internal or card memory is not formatted before video recording; just format them to
solve this entire problem. (Note: Don’t format the internal or card memory via PC)
