INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Receipt
Check the packaging for any damage caused during transport immediately on receipt. Any
complaints arising from such damage should be made to the freight company immediately.
Unpacking
The machine may be unpacked by one person but it requires the use of a pallet stacker or a forklift
truck.
Check that the pallet stacker / truck is approved to lift a weight which as a minimum corresponds to
the machine’s gross weight (for weights: See the “technical data” section). Make sure to unpack
the machine on a solid, level floor.
Remove the wooden fillets holding the cardboard box to the pallet.
Lift away the cardboard box.
Check the machine for any damage caused during transport immediately on receipt. Any
complaints arising from such damage should be made to the freight company immediately.
Remove the transport fittings mounted at the four machine legs.
Run the pallet stacker’s or truck’s forks under the machine from either the front or the back of the
machine. Make sure that the forks touch the front and rear parts of the machine chassis to prevent
the machine from tipping over when lifted.
Carefully lift the machine just free of the pallet.
Pull the pallet away from under the machine. Avoid putting your arms or other parts of your body
under the machine while removing the pallet.
Push / Run the machine to the installation location.
Lower the machine onto the floor so that it stands on its legs.
Packaging must be disposed according to local regulations. The four transport fittings can be
stored for later use if the machine is to be transported on a pallet at a later occasion.
Installation instructions
JEROS utensil washers must be placed on a solid foundation to ensure optimum operation and
can be levelled using the adjustable feet.
Note!
JEROS utensil washers must be connected to the water supply and the stop tap must be open
before the machine is turned on at the main switch.
Water connection
Water is connected on the rear of the machine. The machine must be connected to both hot and
cold water supplies. If the machine does not have a mixer tap, connect hot water only. The water
must be connected with the flexible reinforced connection tube provided, enabling you to move the
machine away from the wall for cleaning. If the machine is equipped with a flush hose, connect it to
the quick coupling on the hose holder.

Important!
If the water in your area is hard (above 8°dH), we recommend using a softening unit. This will give
the machine a longer service life, lower electricity / soap consumption and prevent lime scale from
forming in the machine. Contact your dealer for further information.
Drain connection
The machine may only be installed in rooms where there is a drain in the floor.
Connect the flexible drain hose to the floor drain. Max. height 30cm above floor.
Electrical installation
Connection should be by means of a switch in the permanent installation. The switch must be
protectable against unintentional reactivation and may be made according to IEC 60947-3. The
switch must always be located for easy access.
At the factory, the electrical connection is labelled as follows: L1, L2 and L3 for the three phases, N
for 0. The earth wire is yellow / green and not labelled. In some countries, 0 is not used and
consequently omitted.
The electrical connection must be made by a trained or certified electrician and must always be in
accordance with the regulations in force in the country or state where the machine is installed.
The machine must be given extra protection in accordance with power current regulations.
The cable between the installation and the machine must be secured so that persons in
the area do not risk tripping over the cable and so that the cable will not be pulled out from
either the fixed installation or from the machine.

Phase connection
Applicable to machines with software version 4.0:
The machine must not be used until the phase sequence has been checked.
If the motor turns in the wrong direction, two phases must be switched (e.g. L1 and L2) at the main
switch.
The arrows on the motor show the direction of rotation when the phases are connected correctly.
All motors have been mounted at the factory to have the same direction of rotation.
Applicable to machines with software version 4.2 or higher:
To ensure the pumps turn in the right direction, the control is equipped with a phase sequence
sensor. If the machine is connected with the opposite phase sequence than chosen as “the right
one” from the factory, the AL13 alarm appears in the display of the operating panel and the
machine cannot be started. If AL13 appears, two phases must be switched (e.g. L1 and L2) at the
main switch. The arrows on the motor show the correct direction of rotation. If a cable for a pump is
removed at one end or the other, e.g. in connection with repairs, it must be checked afterwards
that the cable has the remounted with the correct phase sequence by checking that the motor’s fan
rotates in the direction of the arrow.

USER INSTRUCTIONS
These user instructions are designed for the most advanced JEROS utensil washer which is why
some equipment differences may exist between the version shown in the user instructions and
your machine. However, the user instructions will cover all operation aspects of your JEROS
utensil washer.
All numbers in brackets (e.g. (6)) in the user instructions refer to the same number on the control
panel.
A main paragraph followed by this symbol refers to points mentioned in the safety
precautions.
Instructions for use
JEROS utensil washers are designed for washing up pots, pans, tins, trays, bowls, spoons, cups,
glasses and whisks, etc., and should not be used for any other purpose.
In case of doubt, please contact your dealer and inquire about the possibilities of washing a
specific utensil.
Note!
If the instructions for use are not observed, JEROS A/S cannot warrant compliance with existing
legislation regarding significant health and safety requirements in connection with the design and
production of machines.
JEROS utensil washer is easy to use and can be operated from three sides. It can be used as an
extension table for used utensils.
Additional extension tables and, if necessary, also pre-rinse tables can be ordered as accessories.
Please contact your Jeros dealer for further information.

Machine function
Once the machine is full, close the lid and the machine will start (if the machine has been switched
on and one of the three wash programs have been selected). Soapy water is pumped from the
wash tank out through wash nozzles in the wash system. The articles are now cleaned. The wash
cycle finishes with a rinse program. Fresh water containing rinse aid is pumped from the rinse tank
out through rinse nozzles in the rinse system. The articles are now rinsed. After a short drying time,
the articles are ready for use again.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Every day before using the machine
1) The red lance must be inserted into the soap container and the grey lance into the rinse aid
bottle. If the rinse hose is empty, the dosage pump must be primed manually until the hose is full
again. Finally, check that the water tap is open and the main switch is on.
2) Close the lid and press switch (1). The rinse and wash tank will fill with water to the correct level
and the heating elements will be switched on automatically. The display shows the current wash
and rinse temperatures. When the LED in button (1) stops flashing, the wash tank is full and the
first wash of the day can begin.
The machine may be set not to start a wash until the set wash temperature has been reached in
the wash tank. If so, a few moments will pass until the machine starts the wash. This feature is a
“temperature block” which may be disabled and activated by your installer.
Washing instructions
1) With the lid open, put utensils in the coarse net / washing basket, ensuring that they are not
covering each other. Pots and bowls should be placed upside down.
2) Select the wash program with buttons (5), (6) or (7) to suit the utensils being washed.
In machines with pulse wash option (9110/15 with this option mounted) and in machines with an
optional high/low wash pressure, the desired wash mode must also be selected depending on the
nature and type of the tools using key (4A/4B). Start the wash cycle by closing the lid.
At the factory, wash program 1 (button (5)) has been set to wash at a lower temperature
and using less soap. If you want to use this economy feature, it is an advantage to
arrange the washing and start with the articles which are to be washed in cold water. The
machine will not add cold water to lower the temperature when changing from high to low
wash temperature.
While the wash program is running, several red LEDs flash on the machine’s operating panel. The
display (12) shows the remaining wash time in minutes.
The wash program ends with approx. 20 seconds’ subsequent rinse followed by a short
evaporation period. During the rinse sequence, the display (12) shows the remaining time in
seconds. When the wash program is complete, a green arrow is lit on the operating panel.
NEVER open the machine lid unless the machine has been switched off or the
green light shows that the machine is not running a wash. Opening the lid creates
a risk of scalding by hot water and aggressive chemicals.
The utensils basket can be mounted so that it tilts forward. This may be a benefit when
washing articles with a flat, closed bottom as less wash water will assemble on top of the
articles which will improve the rinse performance and reduce the water waste when the
articles are removed from the machine.

During the day
1) Check the filter regularly and clean it if it is fully or partly clogged. The machine must always be
equipped with a coarse filter and may also be equipped with a fine filter.
A clogged filter may cause functional machine errors. A missing filter may cause clogging
of the drain pump or the drain.
2) Check that the container and bottle contain soap and rinse aid. The machine is fitted with a
warning lamp for missing soap but not missing rinse aid.
Missing soap or rinse aid will affect the perfect wash result.
Machines with a powered lid opening
For machines with a powered lid opening, a few modest changes have been made compared with
the text above. This applies to 8150, which always has a powered lid opening, 9120 and 9130 with
an optional powered lid opening and 8160 with a powered curtain opening.
Press the desired wash program to start the program. The lid/curtain will close automatically and
the wash starts. If the lid’s closing movement is prevented for any reason, the lid stops and starts
opening again after approx. 3 seconds.
When the wash program is complete, the lid/curtain opens automatically and the machine leaves
the wash program.
The lid/curtain can also be opened and closed by pressing the arrow buttons (S1 and S2) once on
the additional operating box on machines with powered lid opening. If this method is used to close
the lid/curtain, the wash program will not start automatically but must be started afterwards by
pressing one of the three program buttons (5), (6) or (7).
The machine can be set to NOT opening and closing the lid/curtain automatically. The lid can then
be opened and closed by pressing key button S1 or S2 during the entire movement. The lid/curtain
stops as soon as the arrow button is released.
After the last wash - at the end of the shift
Push button (2), close the lid and the machine will run an emptying program for about 6 minutes,
after which the machine will switch off. After the machine is switched off an extra emptying can be
carried out by pushing button (2). Then the drain pump will empty for 30 sec. This procedure can
be repeated as necessary.
Special information for machines with a curtain: Let the machine dry for approx. 15
minutes with the curtain open and then lower the curtain to allow it to dry. Use the S1 and
S2 arrow keys.
