What the JMC Nomade will offer you
A seductive sound silhouette
The sound, consistent and pervasive, gives that little extra that characterizes JMC’s products. A charm due to
the sound performance objective associated with the subtle emotional contribution related to musical
instruments. The noble materials of which the JMC Nomade is made are the same as those chosen by the
luthier for its music instruments, particularly the 350 year old resonance spruce of Risoud Forest for the pavilion
and Swiss walnut wood for the housing. Designed by Jeanmichel Capt, the JMC Nomade is the perfect
combination between audio performance and emotion.
Accurate bass
The JMC Nomade is equipped with probably the smallest bass reflex subwoofer that exists. This decision is
the reason that the loudspeaker sounds airy and accurate, which connects perfectly the high and middle tones
issued by the horn.
The JMC Nomade is ideal for listening in freedom
At a fixed location or as mobile station, the JMC Nomade delivers its harmonies in all situations: on the terrace,
on the road, outdoors or placed on furniture inside your house. Its sober aesthetic allows it to be conspicuously
inconspicuous, and thus claims its identity without invading the space other than through his music.

Safety and disclaimers
Don’t open the device and never modify anything inside. Don’t try to repair or replace anything. If maintenance
is needed, please contact your dealer or JMC Lutherie. To prevent malfunction and/or damage to the speakers
or other devices, always turn down the volume, and turn off the devices before connecting to any other device.
Before turning the power on or off, turn down the volume first. Even with the volume down, you may hear
some noises when you turn on the power or switch it off. This does not indicate a malfunction.
Never use the JMC Nomade under the following circumstances:
- In extreme temperatures (exposed to direct sunlight in an enclosed vehicle or near a heating device).
- When exposed to moisture, rain or fogged (bathrooms, toilets, wet floors).
- When exposed to dust, sand, salt or smoke.
- When exposed to flammable products.
- When it is submitted to strong vibrations or on an inclined slope.
- Do not place any item containing liquid on the device.
- Avoid at all costs objects (e.g., flammable objects, coins, wires) or liquid (e.g. water, fruit juice) entering
inside the unit.
- When the power cord or plug is damaged.
- When smoke or unusual odor is emitted.
- If the device does not operate normally or decreased performances have been a marked.
All these circumstances may cause a short circuit, a malfunction of the device or other inherent problem.
In these cases turn off the power immediately, unplug the power cord from the outlet and request servicing
by your retailer or JMC Lutherie.

Power
The device must only be plugged into an electrical outlet of the type described on its back. Only use only the
dedicated power adaptor supplied with the JMC Nomade. The device must be positioned in a way that sufficient
ventilation from the back occurs. Take only the plug of the power transformer when connecting or disconnecting
to a power outlet or the device. Disconnect the power plug when the JMC Nomade will not be used for an
extended period of time. Never twist or bend the power cord excessively and do not place heavy objects on it.
Damaged cords risk fire and electrical shocks.
Disclaimers
- Do not connect the device into the same outlet as electrical appliances controlled by an inverter
(e.g. refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, air conditioner), or devices that contain a motor as
this can cause an induced noise that may cause a malfunction or produce an audible noise. If, for practical
reasons, you cannot use a separate electrical outlet, connect a noise filter between the JMC Nomade and
the electrical outlet.
- Before connecting the device to any other equipment, turn them all off. This will help to prevent malfunctions
and/or damage to speakers or other devices.
- Do not force the unit's power cord into an outlet. Be especially careful when using extension cords: the total
power used by all devices connected to the outlet of the extension cord may never exceed the power rating
(watts/amps) of the extension cord.
- The accumulation of dust between the plug and the power outlet can result in a poor connection and
can cause a fire.

The placement of your JMC Nomade
Your JMC Nomade was developed with resonance spruce for over 350 years old and Swiss walnut using
lutherie techniques of the 21st century. The device is assembled by gluing and painting the wood with varnish
which doesn’t alter the vibration. It is important to take care of your JMC Nomade like a musical instrument.
This means that you should not install it near a heat source or behind a window exposed to direct sunlight.
The device must be positioned that the back will be sufficiently ventilated.
Disclaimers
- When you use the device near power amplifiers (or other equipment containing large power transformers)
and near wireless communication devices, such as cellular telephones, humming or any other noise can
be heard. To solve this problem, please change the orientation of the device, move it away from the source
of interference or move away the concerned wireless devices.
- Do not expose the JMC Nomade to direct sunlight, do not place it near any heat generating equipment,
do not leave it inside an enclosed vehicle and do not expose it to high temperatures.
- If you move the device to a location where the temperature and/or humidity is very different, condensation
can be formed inside the JMC Nomade. If you use it under these conditions, you may damage it or cause
malfunctions. You must therefore wait a few hours to make sure that the condensation has evaporated
before using the device again.
- Depending on the material and temperature of the surface on which you place the unit, it is possible
that the rubber feet discolor or mark the surface. To avoid this, you can insert a piece of felt or cloth under
the rubber feet. In doing so, make sure the JMC Nomade will not slip or move accidentally.

Maintenance of your musical instrument
It is important to check the humidity level of the place where you will listen to your JMC Nomade. We advise
to keep a minimum level of 40%. We recommend to use a soft cloth, slightly humidified, to clean the JMC
Nomade if necessary. Don’t use detergents (to preserve the natural satin finish), and never use any chemical
product as this will alter the polish. Never collide the JMC Nomade with any hard object. This will not have
an influence on the sound, but it will leave marks on your device.
Before cleaning the JMC Nomade, make sure that the device has been turned off and that the cables
are disconnected. We advise you to disconnect the JMC Nomade at the moment there is a risk of thunder and
lightning in your area.
