Notes on the operating instructions
These ORIGINAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS are designed to provide sufficient
instruction for the safe operation of the Easy Access transponder standalone
module. The information is presented in a precise and clear manner. The chapters
are arranged by letter and the pages are numbered continuously.
When operating and performing maintenance work, make sure that you use the
description that applies to the Easy Access Transponder Stand-Alone Modul.
Our Easy Access Transponder Stand-Alone Modul undergoes continual ongoing
development. We reserve the right to alter thedesign, features and technical aspects
of the equipment. No guarantee of particular features of the Easy Access
transponder standalone module should therefore be assumed from these operating
instructions.

A Correct Use and Application
1 Approved application conditions
–Operation in industrial and commercial environments.
–Permissible temperature range -28°C to +65°C.
WARNING!
Operation under extreme conditions
Operation of the Easy Access transponder standalone module under extreme
conditions can lead to malfunctions.
Operation under extreme conditions, in particular in very dusty or corrosive
environments, is not permitted.
Operation in areas at risk of explosion is not permitted.

In adverse weather conditions (thunder, lightning), the Easy Access transponder
standalone module must not be operated outdoors or in endangered areas.

2 Proprietor responsibilities
For the purposes of these operating instructions, the "operating company" is defined
as any natural or legal person who either uses the Easy Access Transponder
StandAlone Modul himself, or on whose behalf it is used. In special cases (e.g.
leasing or renting) the operating company is considered the person who, in
accordance with existing contractual agreements between the owner and operator
of the Easy Access transponder standalone module, is charged with operational
duties.
The operating company must ensure that the Easy Access Transponder Stand-
Alone Modul is used only for the purpose it is intended. The operating company must
ensure that all operators have read and understood these operating instructions.
NOTE
Failure to comply with these operating instructions shall invalidate the warranty. The
same applies if improper work is carried out on the appliance by the customer and/or
third parties without the permission of the manufacturer.

1 Application
The Easy Access Transponder Stand-Alone Modul is an access system.
Activation is via a transponder in accordance with DIN ISO/IEC 14443 A/B, via soft
key entry on delivery.

accordance with EN 300330-1 as well as the standardised instructions contained
therein.

The module electrical equipment that emits non-ionising radiation (e.g. transponder
reader) can affect the operators' medical equipment (pacemakers, hearing aids etc.)
and result in malfunctions. Consult a doctor or the manufacturer of the medical
equipment to clarify whether it can be used near the industrial truck.

manufacture of electrical equipment, according to EN 1175 "Safety of industrial
trucks - Electrical requirements" and EN 60204-1 "Safety of machinery - Electrical
equipment of machines", provided the module is used correctly.

Module
2.1 General Information about the Use of the Keyless Access System
The default code is to be found on a sticker. When using for the first time, change
the set-up code and remove the sticker!
–Default code: 1-2-3-4
–Factory set-up code: 2-4-1-2
When a valid code is entered or a valid transponder used, a green tick appears on
the display unit.
When an invalid code has been entered or an invalid transponder used, ared cross
is displayed, and the entry must be repeated.
Once a certain length of time has elapsed without entry of a code or use of a
transponder, the display unit switches to standby mode. Pressing any key cancels
standby mode.
The following additional settings can be performed by the manufacturer’s customer
service department.

2.2 Using the Display:
2.2.1 Activating the Module with the Default Code
Procedure
•Release the emergency disconnect switch.
•Enter the default code 1-2-3-4 using the soft keys below the display (3).
The module is enabled.
2.2.2 Blocking an Enabled Module
Procedure
• Press the key under the "Switch off" symbol (5) on the
display unit.5
The module is blocked.
As an option, the customer service department can pre-set the module such that the
module is blocked automatically after a defined delay at a standstill. Automatic
blocking does not occur if the module has been enabled by the set-up code or the
set-up transponder.

2.3 Commissioning the Transponder Reader
In the as-supplied condition, the Easy Access transponder standalone module can
be enabled only by using the keys on the display unit. The operating company needs
to activate the transponder reader. Once the transponder reader has been activated,
the module can be enabled only by using transponders.
