Pronto4 Mounting Feet – MLT Field Installation
1. Note and photograph relative servo and multifunction module locations.
2. Remove the servo and multifunction modules, as follows:
a. Use an 8/32” hex driver to remove each of
the four (4) outermost corner screws. Set
screws aside for reinstallation.
b. Carefully pull out the module.
c. Repeat 2.a. and 2.b. for all three servo
modules and the multifunction module.

3. Remove the top plate, as follows:
a. Use a #2 Phillips driver to remove
all twelve (12) screws and lock
washers from the top plate. Set
screws aside for reinstallation.
b. Manually remove the top plate.
Set top plate aside for
reinstallation.
4. Remove the current feet, as follows:
a. Use a pair of needle-nose or bent-nose pliers to pull off the interior rubber
bumper from each foot.

b. Use a #2 Phillips driver and an 11/32” socket and driver to remove the
lock washer and screw from each foot.
5. Attach the Pronto4 Mounting Feet
Assembly (p/n: MCA-00129), as follows:
a. Use a #2 Phillips driver to drive a
screw through a foot and into the
frame with at least a few threads
visible inside the frame.
b. Use a #2 Phillips driver and an
11/32” socket and driver to secure a
lock washer to the screw.

c. Remove the backing from a rubber bumper and securely insert it into the
foot’s cavity.
d. Repeat 5.a. through 5.c. with each foot.
6. Re-attach the servo and multifunction modules, as follows:
WARNING
Using the notes and photographs taken in step 1, ensure each module is placed into the
correct bay. Failure to do so will result in unpredictable behavior and may cause
system damage.
WARNING
If the module connector and interior frame connector are not adequately aligned then
damage can be done to the connector pins. If damage is done to the pins then the
module will not function correctly and will need to be returned to Kairos for repair.
a. Manually slide the module through
the exterior frame slot from which it
was removed during step 2.b.
b. Visually align the module connector
with the interior frame connector.

c. Gently slide the module into the
interior frame connector. The
module’s faceplate should be evenly
flush with the frame.
Immediately stop if there is any
pressure while connecting the
module or if the faceplate is not
evenly flush to the frame. Pull the
unit back, realign it, and try again.
Repeat until the module is
connected without pressure.
d. Apply Loctite® 248™, or other
anaerobic threadlocking adhesive, to
four (4) of the screws removed
during step 2.a.
e. Use an 8/32” hex driver and the four
Loctited screws to re-secure each of
the four (4) outermost corner
screws.
f. Repeat steps 6.a. – 6.e. until all
three servo modules and the
multifunction module have been re-
attached.

7. Re-attach the top plate, as follows:
a. Position the top plate on the frame.
b. Apply Loctite to the twelve (12) screws removed in step 2.a.
c. Use a #2 Phillips driver, the Loctited screws, and the twelve (12) lock
washers removed in step 2.a. to secure the top plate to the frame.
