INTRODUCTION
Electric catering coffee urns are manufactured in durable stainless steel
and polished to give a long lasting finish. With proper care and
management your new purchase will give you years of trouble free service.
Constant hot coffee is to be prepared quickly in places like hotels, cafes,
schools, offices, lounges, restaurants and all kinds of party gatherings.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a
safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of
experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received
instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.
qCheck that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the
appliance.
qNever leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
qFrom time to time check the appliance and its cord for damages.
Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of
damage. All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician
(*). Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent
qualified electrician (*).
qNever immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason
whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.

qNever use the appliance near hot surfaces.
qBefore cleaning or storing the appliance, always unplug the appliance
from the power supply and let it cool down.
qNever use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry
environment.
qNever use accessories that are not recommended by the producer.
They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the
appliance.
qNever move the appliance by pulling the cord. Stand the appliance on a
table or flat surface. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way.
Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
qMake sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the
appliance.
qNever touch the hot parts of the appliance.
qMake sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable
materials such as curtains, textiles... when it is in use as they might
catch fire.
qWhen removing lime scale, only use special products for the removal of
lime scale. Never use ammonia or any other substance that might
damage your health.
qOnly put ground coffee in the filter.
qNever use your coffee maker without water in it.
qAlways fill the water tank under the maximum mark. Do not overfill the
water tank as boiling water might overflow.
qAlways switch off before removing the plug from the outlet.
qAlways switch off before trying to move the coffee urn.
qBeware of hot steam when removing the lid.
qAlways ensure the lid is securely fitted whenever the urn contains
water.
qDo not attempt to disassemble the water urn.
(*) Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or
importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this
kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the
appliance to this electrician.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE
1.Remove all packaging from the inside and outside of the coffee urn.
2.Fill the coffee urn, boil and discard the water before the first use. This
is to simply clean the urn before using for drinking coffee.
HOW TO USE
1. Always use the water urn on a flat level surface.
2. Turn the lid anti clockwise to open.
3. Replace the lid and turn clockwise to lock into place.
4. Open the lid and pour in water. Make sure the water is below the
«MAX «water level indicator.
5. Connect the plug and the socket.
• If you want to brew coffee, place the percolator tube and the filter basket
in the tank and put the desired amount of coffee on the basket. Make sure
that the percolator tube is fitted inside the Coffee Urn. Otherwise, it will not
work properly.
• If you only want to boil water, don’t put the percolator filter and
the filter basket.
6. Switch ON. The "BOIL" pilot lamp will light up and the water starts to
heat up, the water will spout from the tube ,fall down to the coffee
powder .It works in this way again and again until the "BOIL" pilot
lamp goes out and the "KEEPWARM" pilot lamp lights up, showing
that the proper amount of water has been sprayed well and the
appliance is in the state of preserving heat.
7. Use the faucet to dispense water/coffee.
8. When about three cups of water are remaining in the tank, turn
the appliance off and unplug it from the electric outlet.
9. Always make sure at least three cups of water are remaining in the
tank to prevent a boil-dry accident.
10. The urns can be very heavy when filled with water or coffee.
Urns should not be carried or moved when full of water as the weight
and unsteady load can cause injury or strain. Urns should be placed
in their position of use and filled through the use of a portable hose
or several trips with a smaller, manageable container (e.g. a jug).
To ensure operator safety in lifting the machines, Urns should never
be moved when filled with more than 5L (5L =5Kg approximately).
BOIL DRY PROTECTION
The appliance is protected by a thermal limiter with AUTOMATIC reset function to
prevent accidental dry-boil. .If the water in the tank is boiled dry, this is activated, the

appliance will turn itself off, although the lamp with remain on. The appliance must
be unplugged before it can be reset. To reset the appliance, wait until the
appliance has cooled down. The automatic reset is in close position when is cooled.
Power ON the appliance again, check if the heating pilot light is on. If the pilot light is
on, it indicates the unit has recovered to normal working condition; if the light is still
off, put the appliance in power OFF and unplug the cord and wait some minutes.
Repeat this operation several times until the appliance is under normal working
condition.
This facility is for the protection of the user as well as the components.
In case of such repeated incidents the bi-metal may malfunction causing damage of
thermal limiter as well as the heating element beyond repair. Please note that the
manufacturer will not guarantee for such negligent use of appliance.
If resetting this thermal cut-out does not switch the appliance back on, please call for
service or professional maintenance agent to have further check.
THERMAL CUT-OUT
The appliance is fitted with a thermal cut-out to have double safety protection .When
the water is boiled dry and the boil dry protections fails to work ,the thermal cut-out
will work ,then the appliance stops working.
This thermal cut-out is a disposable part. When this part comes into effect, it will be
broken and cannot be used again. The appliance should be brought to authorized
agent to replace the thermal cut-out.
The reset button is located on the underside of the appliance. Press this button then
power on the appliance again, check if the heating pilot light is on. If the pilot light is
on, it indicates the unit is recover to normal working condition; if the light is still off,
unplug the cord and try to press the reset button again. Make this operation for
several times until the appliance is under normal working condition.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. CLEANING THE URN
a. Always rinse the Coffee Urn immediately after each use.
b. Be sure to unplug the unit, pour out any remaining water or coffee, and
allow to cool off before cleaning.
c. Add small quantity of hot water, brush sides, and rinse with hot water until
it runs clean.
d. Clean the filter unit and the lid with a non-abrasive detergent and dry them
with a soft dry cloth.
e. The inside and the tube are of stainless steel and can therefore be

cleaned with a product and a scouring pad.
f. For the tap to operate normally, the hole at the bottom of the tank must
not be furred up. If necessary, use a descaling agent.
g. To clean the tap unit using a bottle brush, moving it back and forth. Insert it
in the tap opening inside the tan to clean the intermediate part linking the
tap to the appliance. Wash the tap handle with hot soapy water and rinse.
h. Use a soft cloth to wipe the urn body dry. Do not use benzene, thinners or
harsh abrasive cleaning products, as these will damage the finish of the
unit.
i. Always remember to empty and rinse the urn with hot water before using
again.
2. DE-SCALING THE URN
a. It is important to de-scale the water urn at regular intervals.
b. Limescale build up can affect the workings of the water urn element.
c. Please note most supermarket de-scaling products are based on
treating a 2 litre kettle.
Always rinse thoroughly after de-scaling.
3. DISCOLORING OF THE TANK
This is caused by oxidizing of iron in tap water. It can be removed by the following
steps:
a. Cut a lemon into four, wrap the lemon in cloth and place in the
water tank.
b. Pour water up to the "MAX" water level indicator.
c. Boil the water and make sure the mixture remains inside the unit
for about 1 hour.
d. Pour out the water and use a nylon brush to scrub the water
tank.
e. To remove the smell of the lemon, boil water again, and dispose the water.

electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance
with specific rules with the implication of both suppliers and users. For this
reason, as indicated by the symbol on the rating label or on the
packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste.
The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing waste

recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance
with the directive.
