safety warnings
For your continued safety and to reduce the risk of injury or electric
shock, please follow all the safety precautions listed below.
• Read all instructions carefully before using the unit and keep them
for future reference.
• Retain the manual. If you pass the unit onto a third party, make
sure to include this manual.
• This appliance is intended for indoor household use and similar
applications such as:
– farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential
type environment;
– bed and breakfast type environment;
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environment;
– catering and similar non-retail applications.
• Ensure that the plug is easily accessible to enable disconnection
from the mains supply.
• If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or a qualified technician in order to
avoid a hazard.
• Choose a location for your unit away from heat sources such as
radiators or fires as refrigerant and vesicant are burnable.
• The unit must be manoeuvred by a minimum of 2 persons.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
• Children aged from 3 to 8 years are allowed to load and unload
refrigerating appliances.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the unit.
• If your unit is fitted with a lock to prevent children being trapped
inside, keep the key out of reach and not in the vicinity of the unit.

• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a
flammable propellant in this appliance.
• Do not store bottles or glass containers in the freezer
compartment. Contents can expand when frozen (fizzy
drinks) which may break the bottle and damage your freezer
compartment. (If applicable)
• To avoid contamination of food, pay attention to the following:
- opening the door for long periods can cause a significant
increase of the temperature in the compartments of the
appliance;
- clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with food and
accessible drainage systems;
- clean water tanks if they have not been used for 48 hours; flush
the water system connected to a water supply if water has not
been drawn for 5 days;
- store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the refrigerator
so that it is not in contact with or drip onto other food;
- two-star frozen-food compartments are suitable for storing pre-
frozen food, storing or making ice-cream and making ice cubes;
- one-, two- and three-star compartments are not suitable for the
freezing of fresh food;
- if the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch
off, defrost, clean, dry and leave the door open to prevent mould
developing within the appliance.

WARNING
• Keep ventilation openings in the unit enclosure or in the built-
in structure clear of obstructions.
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate
the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage
compartments of the unit, unless they are of the type
recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit (The refrigerant is a
very environmental-friendly gas but is also combustible. Take
care when transporting or moving the unit to ensure that the
refrigeration circuit is not damaged. In the event of damage
avoid naked flames or ignition sources and ventilate the room
in which the unit is placed for a few minutes.)
• When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not
trapped or damaged.
• Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or portable
power supplies at the rear of the appliance.

installation
levelling the unit
Adjust the two levelling feet at the front of the unit.
If the unit is not level, the doors and magnetic seal
alignments will not be covered properly.
installation
location
When selecting a position for your unit you should make sure the floor is flat and firm, and the
room is well ventilated with an average room temperature of between 10°C and 43°C. Avoid
locating your unit near a heat source, e.g. cooker, boiler or radiator. Also avoid direct sunlight
as it may increase the electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also
cause the unit not to perform properly. This unit is not designed for use in a garage or outdoor
installation. Do not drape the unit with any covering.
free space requirements
When installing the unit, ensure that 25 mm of
free space is left at both sides, 50 mm at the
rear of the unit and 25 mm at the top of the
unit. Please ensure there is more than twice
the width and depth distance space of the unit
to fully open the doors to a maximum angle.

installing the water filter
• Choose a wall area with distance that is near the water tap and the unit.
• Do not install the water filter behind the unit, but should install it in an area that is convenient
for it to be replaced.
• To operate properly, connect the unit to the water mains with water pressure of 207~689
Mpa.
Do not install the water filter on the unit body.
Once the area to install the water filter is determined, follow the steps below:
1. Screw the filter holders on the wall. Make sure the distance between the
filter holders is suitable to hold the water filter in place. The water filter
should be positioned vertically.
2. Measure the distance between the water filter and the water tap, and also the distance
between the water filter and the fridge. Cut the water hose into 2 water hoses accordingly to
the measured distances.

cleaning before use
Wipe the inside of the unit with a weak solution of bicarbonate soda. Then rinse with warm water
using a sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing the drawers. Clean the exterior of
the unit with a damp cloth.
If you require more information refer to the Cleaning section.
• Before Plugging in YOU MUST
Check that you have a socket which is compatible with the plug supplied with the unit.
• Before Turning On!
Do not turn on until two hours after moving the unit. The coolant fluid needs time to
settle.
before using your unit
before placing any food in your unit, turn it on and wait for 24 hours, to make sure it is working
properly and to allow it time to fall to the correct temperature. Your unit should not be overfilled.
Remove the 2 clips from the water filter then pull out the 2 stoppers.
Fully insert the water hoses into the water-in and water-out ends of the
filter. Then re-attach the 2 clips, making sure each clip locks the water
hose firmly.
3. To connect to the water tap, screw the adaptor to the
water tap outlet. Then connect the water hose that is
connected to the water-in end of the water filter.
4. Open the water tap to flush the new water filter. In
case the water colour is darkish, it is normal for first
use. Continue flushing until the water colour becomes
normal.
5. After the water colour becomes normal, connect to
the unit. Attach the one end of the adaptor to the
unit’s water hose, then connect the water hose that is
connected to the water-out end of the water filter into the other end of the adaptor.
It is important to connect the water hoses correctly to the water-in and water-out end
of the water filter.
• Do not bend the water hoses.
• Do not put heavy things on top of the water hoses.
• After installation is completed, turn on the water tap. Check and make sure there is no
leakage in every connection points.

• If you need more space in the freezer for storage, you can replace the ice bucket with the
freezer storage box.
• To remove the ice bucket, refer to the “cleaning the ice bucket” section.
• Before removing the ice bucket, make sure the ice maker is turned off by pressing the Ice

Connect the mains cable to the mains socket. The internal temperature of your unit is controlled by
an electronic control panel on the door. Before changing any setting, ensure the lock is disabled.
temperature setting
• Fridge temperature setting
1. Temperature range: 2°C to 8°C.
2. Press the Fridge button repeatedly to set the temperature.
• Freezer temperature setting
1. Temperature range: -14°C to -24°C.
2. Press the Freezer button repeatedly to set the temperature.
super cool mode
• Press and hold the Super Cool button for 3 seconds to select the super cool mode.
• will be illuminated. Temperature in the fridge is quickly lowered to 2°C and food in the fridge
can be kept fresh for a longer period.
• To switch off, press the Super Cool button again, and the fridge temperature will resume to the
previous setting. Otherwise, super cool mode will also automatically deactivate after 3 hours.

super freeze mode
• Press and hold the Super Freeze button for 3 seconds to select the super freeze mode.
• will be illuminated. Temperature in the freezer will be quickly lowered to -24°C.
• To switch off, press the Super Freeze button again, and the freezer temperature will resume to
the previous setting. Otherwise, super freeze mode will also automatically deactivate after 26
hours. will extinguish.

eco mode
• To save energy, you can set the unit to eco mode. Press the Eco button to activate the eco
mode. will be illuminated. Temperature in the fridge will automatically set to 8°C and the
freezer to -15°C to minimise energy consumption.
• To switch off, press the Eco button again, and the temperatures will resume to the previous
setting. will extinguish.
To save energy, avoid opening the doors frequently or keeping them opened for a long time.
door alarm
When the fridge or freezer door is left opened for over 2 minutes, will illuminate and the alarm
will be activated. The alarm will sound 3 times per minute and will automatically stop sounding after
10 minutes if the alarm is not deactivated manually. Press the Alarm button to deactivate the alarm
(until disappears) or simply close the door.
child lock
When child lock is activated, pressing all buttons will not work.
• To activate child lock, press and hold the Child Lock button for 3 seconds. will illuminate.
• To deactivate child lock, press and hold the Child Lock button for 3 seconds. will extinguish.
getting ice or water from the dispenser
When using the unit for the first time or after an extended period of time:
• dispense several glasses of water to flush the lines before use
• discard the ice that the ice maker has produced for approximately one day.
Choose the button first, then push the dispenser gently with your glass.
• To get ice, press either the Cubed or Crushed button.
• To get water, press the Water button. If you want icy cold water, dispense ice to your glass first
then dispense water.
When holiday mode is on, the ice maker will automatically turn off.
holiday mode
• If you will be away for a period of time, you can set the fridge to holiday mode. Press the
Holiday button to select the holiday mode. will be illuminated. Do not store any food in the
fridge during holiday mode.
• To switch off, press the Holiday button again, and the fridge temperature will resume to the
previous setting. will extinguish.

turning the ice maker on/off
• If you do not need the ice maker to produce ice, press the Ice Off button. will illuminate. This
can save water and energy consumption, and also prevent too much ice clumping in the ice
bucket. The ice maker will be locked.
• To unlock the ice maker, press the Ice Off button again. will extinguish.
• The first batch of ice cubes after first installation may be small. This is normal.
• If you select Cubed ice after using the Crushed ice feature, a small amount of residual
crushed ice might be dispensed to your glass. This is normal.
• Place the glass close to and in line with the dispenser outlet to prevent the crushed ice
scattering or the water spilling.
• Do not immediately remove your glass from the dispenser. Wait for a while to prevent
spills.
• Do not pull the dispenser lever.
• Do not allow children to hang on the dispenser. This could cause injury.
noises inside the unit!
You may notice that your unit makes some unusual noises. Most of these are perfectly normal, but
you should be aware of them!
These noises are caused by the circulation of the refrigerant liquid in the cooling system. It has
become more pronounced since the introduction of CFC free gases. This is not a fault and will
not affect the performance of your unit. This is the compressor motor working, as it pumps the
refrigerant around the system.
tips for keeping food in the unit
• Cooked meats/fishes should always be stored on a shelf above raw meats/fishes to avoid
bacterial transfer. Keep raw meats/fishes in a container which is large enough to collect
juices and cover it properly. Place the container on the lowest shelf at the bottom of the fridge
compartment.
• Leave space around your food, to allow air to circulate inside the compartments. Ensure all parts
of the unit are kept cool.
• To prevent transfer of flavours and drying out, pack or cover the food separately. Fruit and
vegetables do not need to be wrapped.
• Always let pre-cooked food cool down before you put it in the unit. This will help to maintain the
internal temperature of the unit.
• To prevent cold air escaping from the unit, try to limit the number of times you open the doors.
We recommend that you only open the doors when you need to put food in or take food out.
• When the Ice Off feature is enabled, only the ice maker is locked. The dispenser is not
locked.
• If you will be away for a period of time, close the water tap as well as turn off the ice
maker.
• When the ice maker dumps ice into the ice bucket, any sound you hear is part of normal
operation.

defrosting frozen food
1. Take the frozen food out from the unit and uncover the frozen food. Let it defrost at room
temperature. Don’t forget that defrosting in a warm area encourages the growth of bacteria and
low temperature cooking may not destroy dangerous bacteria.
2. Drain off and throw away any liquid lost during defrosting.
3. Always make sure there are no ice-crystals in the food before cooking, particularly with meat.
These crystals indicate that the food has not fully defrosted.
4. Cook food as soon as possible after defrosting.
5. Many microwaves and ovens have a defrost setting. To avoid bacterial build up, only use these if
you intend to cook the food immediately afterwards.
Never re-freeze anything that has been defrosted unless you cook it again, to kill off harmful
bacteria. Never re-freeze defrosted shellfish. Re-seal packs properly after removing items.
This prevents drying or freezer-burn and a build up of frost on any remaining food.
preparations for freezing
• Use quality food and handle it as little as possible. Freeze food in small quantities as it freezes
faster, takes less time to defrost and enables you to control the quantity you need better.
• Leave cooked food to cool completely. Chill food before freezing if possible.
• Consider how you will want to cook the food before freezing it.
• Don’t freeze food in metal containers if you may want to microwave it straight from the freezer.
• Use special freezer bags, freezer film, polythene bags, plastic containers, and aluminium foil
(heavy duty grade only). If in doubt, double wrap your food. Don’t use aluminium foil for acidic
foods, e.g. citrus fruits. Don’t use thin cling film, glass, or used food containers without cleaning.
• Exclude as much air from the container as possible. You could buy a special vacuum pump
which sucks excessive air out of the packaging.
• Leave a small amount of air space when freezing liquids to allow expansion.
• You can use the space in the freezer most efficiently if you freeze liquids (or
solids with liquids, e.g. stew) in square blocks. This is known as “Preforming”.
Pour the liquid into a polythene bag which is inside a square sided container.
Freeze it, and then remove it from the container and seal the bag.
• Label your frozen foods as they will look the same when in frozen state. Use
special freezer tapes, labels and pens with different colours. This allows you to
easily organise and to effectively use the freezer. Write the contents and date;
otherwise the frozen food might exceed the storage time and this could cause
food poisoning. Please refer to your food packaging for the recommended storage time.
• You may also add the weight and cooking notes, e.g. “defrost first”, “cook from frozen” and keep
a separate log of what is in each drawer. This will save opening the door and searching around
unnecessarily.

cleaning the interior and the exterior of the unit
• Remove all the shelves and drawers.
• Wipe the inside of the unit with a weak solution of bicarbonate soda and then rinse with warm
water using a sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing the shelves and drawers.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior, and then wipe with a standard furniture polish. Make sure
that the doors are closed to avoid the polish getting on the magnetic door seal or inside the unit.
• The grille of the condenser at the back of the unit and the adjacent components can be
vacuumed using a soft brush attachment.
cleaning the ice bucket
Ice may clump in the ice bucket if they are not dispensed for a period of time. If this occurs, remove
all the ice and clean the ice bucket. Ice may also not come out through the dispenser if they get
stuck in the chute. If this occurs, clean the ice bucket and the chute.
Wash the ice bucket and the chute with a mild detergent, rinse well and dry thoroughly. Do not use
harsh or abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• To remove the ice bucket, lift it up then pull out slowly.
• To re-install the ice bucket:
1. Make sure the ice bucket coupler and motor coupler are at a suitable
angle to connect correctly. If not, turn the ice bucket coupler to the
right angle to match with the motor coupler.
2. Re-installation is the reverse order of removal. Make sure the
ice bucket is held firmly by the bracket.
cleaning the dispenser
Wipe the receiving base of the dispenser with dry towel regularly to avoid overflowing.

changing the internal LED light
The internal light is an LED panel that cannot be changed by the user. Please contact a qualified
service agent.
changing the water filter
You should change the water filter every 6 months or when the filter icon starts blinking. After
replacing the water filter, press and hold the Filter Reset button for 3 seconds to reset the filter.
care when handling / moving your unit
Hold the unit around its sides or base when moving it. Under no circumstances should it be lifted by
holding the edges of the top surface.
servicing
The unit should be serviced by an authorised engineer and only genuine spare parts should be
used. Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the unit yourself. Repairs carried out by
inexperienced persons may cause injury or serious malfunction. Contact a qualified technician.
switching off for long periods of time
When the unit is not in use for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains supply, empty all
food and clean the appliance, leaving the door ajar to prevent unpleasant smells.
condensation
Condensation may appear on the outside of the unit. This may be due to a change in room
temperature. Wipe off any moisture residue. If the problem continues, please contact a qualified
technician for assistance.
disposal
Old units still have some residual value. An environmentally friendly method of disposal will ensure
that valuable raw materials can be recovered and used again. The refrigerant used in your unit and
insulation materials require special disposal procedures. Ensure that none of the pipes on the back
of the unit are damaged prior to disposal.
Up to date information concerning options of disposing of your old unit and packaging from the new
one can be obtained from your local council office.
When disposing of an old unit break off any old locks or latches and remove the door as a
safeguard.
