are damaged, they must be replaced by the manufac-
turer, an authorized specialist company, or a similarly
qualified person.
• Store the appliance out of the reach of children.
• Children under the age of 8 should stay away from the
device or be under constant supervision.

rience and/or knowledge of the appliance, should only

8
use it in its intended normal operating position, under
supervision, or after they have been instructed in its
safe use and understand the dangers involved. Children
over the age of 8 should not connect, clean, or service
the appliance. This appliance is not a toy. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.

Electrical safety
WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
This product may only be opened for necessary
service work by an authorised technician.
WARNING!
Induction works through magnetic fields. They are
a potential hazard to persons with metal parts or implants
and may damage appliances and data carriers. If you have
an electronic implant, please consult your specialist to find
out whether your implant is susceptible to magnetic inter-
ference.
• Connect the appliance only to alternating current as in-
dicated on the type plate. Connect the mains plug only
to an earthed socket.
• Uncoil the power cable completely before use.
• Disconnect the mains plug as soon as you have finished
using the appliance. Do not pull the power cable itself,
as it could cause damage.
• Switch off the machine before plugging in or unplug-
ging it.
• The appliance must not be operated with an external
timer or a separate remote control system.
• Always disconnect the mains plug after use, before
cleaning, or in the event of possible malfunctions during
operation.
• Do not submerge the appliance in water or any other
liquid. Protect the power cable, plug and mains adaptor
from moisture.
• The appliance is not dishwasher-safe.
• Never place or use the appliance and power cable on or
near a hot surface.
• The cable must not hang over the edge of the work
surface.

10
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Ensure that the appliance's ventilation slots are not
blocked at any time.
• Never insert body parts or metallic objects into ventila-
tion slots, there is a risk of injury.
• Do not leave paper between the cookware and the hob.
It could catch fire.
• Do not leave the hob and cookware unsupervised when
in use. If supervision is not possible for a short time,
ensure that there is always enough liquid/content in the
cookware.
• Never use the device near gas stoves. Metal parts could
unintentionally become heated by the magnetic field.
• Except for cookware, do not heat any other metallic
parts on the hob and only use cookware suitable for
induction.
• Do not use the hob as a storage area for paper, fabric
in the form of cleaning rags, metallic objects such as

down before touching it with your hands. The surface be-
comes hot during use and may still hold residual heat from
the cookware when the appliance has been turned off.
• Only use the appliance on heat-resistant surfaces.
• Allow the appliance to cool completely before attaching
or removing accessories and before cleaning them.

11
Suitable cookware
WARNING!
Only use cookware that is mentioned in this instruction
manual: flat bottom pots/pans with 16-26 cm base dia-
meter – must be made of steel, stainless steel, cast iron
or enamelled iron. The pans should lie flat on the hob and
the bottom of the pan should not be deformed or bent.
Thinner pan bases are better suited to induction than thick
sandwich bases. Using thinner pan bases highlights the
positive qualities of cooking with induction: short warm-up
phase, fast and controllable frying.
Unsuitable cookware is that which has a rounded bottom
edge or a diameter smaller than 16 cm and is made of the
following materials: glass, ceramic, copper or aluminium.
Before first use
• Remove all parts related to packaging and transport
safety. Make sure that these parts are also kept away
from children - they pose a risk of suffocation!
• Before initial operation and after prolonged periods of
non-use, the appliance should be cleaned. When doing
so, please make sure to note our instructions on cleaning
and care.
• Place the appliance on a level and dry surface.
