this appliance if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
1. Read all instructions prior to rst use and retain this instruction manual for future
use.
2. This appliance is intended to be used in a normal domestic (residential)
environment only and for private use only.
3. Always use the appliance on a rm and stable surface.
4. Due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, do not use the appliance indoors
or in any other conned space including tents, caravans or boats.
5. If the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, cease use
immediately and return the appliance to your nearest Kitchen Warehouse store
for assistance.
6. Do not use the appliance for anything other than the intended use.
7. Before using the barbeque, test the batteries and never replace the batteries
while the barbeque is in use or when it is still hot, wait for it to have cooled down.
8. Use only solid fuel or relighters complying to EN 1860-3.
9. Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
10. Children and animals should always be supervised when the appliance is in use.
11. Always wear heat resistant gloves when touching the hot grill grid.
12. Never pour water into the charcoal container in order to extinguish the charcoal.
13. Always use appropriate barbecue utensils to turn and remove food.
14. Do not use spirits or petrol for lighting or re-lighting.
15. Beware of the risks of burning or suffocation when cooking with this appliance.

How it works
• The charcoal box heats up completely within 10 minutes due to the battery
powered fan in the base.
• Can reach temperatures up to 420C.
• The included mini USB port can be used as an alternative for batteries if there is
an external power source available.
• The heat from the charcoal box, which heats the inner pot and grill rack, provides
even cooking and browning.
• The box lid prevents fats and oils from dripping onto the charcoal, minimising oil
fumes during cooking.
• The heavy duty outer shell stays cool to the touch so you can carry it without risk
of personal injury, even when it is lit.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Warning: Due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning do not use the appliance
indoors or in any other conned space including tents, caravans or boats.
Assembly
• Unpack and remove all packaging from the appliance.
• Check all listed parts and components have been included with the appliance
before set up.
Note: The charcoal container may contain a thin oil lm on the metal, due to its
production process.This oil can cause smoke on the rst use.

How to use it
• Open the battery case at the bottom of the outer bowl. Insert four AA batteries
and close the case.
• Place the inner pot into the outer bowl.
• Place the ignition plate in the base of the inner pot
You then have two options for lighting the charcoal box. Choose one of the below
options:
Option 1. Light the charcoal box using cube relighters
• Put the ignition plate into the inner bowl and the charcoal box on the ignition
plate.
• Place 3 to 4 cube relighters in the charcoal box then ll it with heat beads.
• Light the cubes using a match or automatic relighter and wait a few seconds
before covering the charcoal box with the lid.
• Turn the round ventilation control button on the outer bowl on.
• Turn it clockwise to the maximum position (the ventilation must be on so that the
ame is not extinguished).
Option 2. Lighting the charcoal box using lighter gel
• Put the ignition plate into the inner bowl.
• Apply a circular layer of lighter gel on the ignition plate, approximately 10mm
wide.
• Turn the round ventilation control button on the outer bowl on.
• Turn it clockwise to the maximum position (the ventilation must be on so that the
ame is not extinguished).
• Light gel until it burns, being careful not to touch the ame.
• Place the charcoal box on the ignition plate, taking care to place it evenly.
Having implemented the steps above for your chosen lighting method, continue
setup with the following steps:
• Put the lid on the charcoal box.
• Put the grill rack on top of the inner pot being sure to insert the four metal legs
into the slots of the inner pot. Both metal loops at the side of the grill rack have to
be aligned with the latches. Hook the latches into the metal loops, and pull down
to lock the device.
• After approximately 10 minutes, the grill should be ready for use.
Note: The fan must stay on at all times while you are cooking.

Warning: Let the grill cool off entirely
before cleaning.
Independent charcoal grill
Produces a minimal amount of smoke due
to the coal in the coal box, which makes for
a more comfortable cooking experience.
Note: The grill may or may not produce
smoke at the beginning of the process
depending on the quality of the fuel used.
Safety lock design
The charcoal burns inside a closed mesh
container at all times and has a safety
lock that prevents that container from
falling outside the grill in the event that it
is dropped.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
By following these recommendations your portable charcoal bbq will provide many
years of use.
1. The grill must be allowed to cool off completely before cleaning.
2. Do not use water to cool off the hot grill. Burns and scalding might occur.
3. Clean grill grid, inner bowl and other dirty parts after each use.
4. Grill grid and inner bowl are dishwasher safe or can be cleaned by hand with
standard dishwashing liquid.
5. We recommend the use of commercially available barbecue cleaners for cleaning
of hard to remove residues.
6. Clean the outer bowl (containing electronic unit) with a wet cloth or brush only.
7. Do not use acidic, solvent or other ammable liquids.
8. Remove batteries if storing for a longer period of storage.
9. Do not wet the charcoal container to clean, use a dry brush.
After use
1. Dispose of any batteries at a battery collection point, do not put them in your
household rubbish
2. Dispose of charcoal in non-combustible or metal containers only. Do not use
plastic or any other ammable materials to dispose of them.
WARRANTY
Our goods come with guarantees that
cannot be excluded under Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure
and for compensation for any other
reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be
of acceptable quality and the failure does
not amount to a major failure.
This appliance comes with a 12 month
warranty. The benets of this warranty
are in addition to any rights and
remedies imposed by Australian State
and Federal legislation that cannot
be excluded. Nothing in this warranty
excludes, restricts or modies any State
or Federal legislation applicable to the
supply of goods which cannot be so
excluded, restricted or modied.
Guarantee
We warrant that, subject to the
exclusions and limitations below, the
Product will be free from defects in
materials and workmanship under
normal domestic household use for the
period of time listed on the Product’s
packaging. The warranty period
commences on the date of sale by the
original retailer to the original purchaser.
The warranty applies only while the
Product is owned by the original
purchaser.
Use of the Product in a commercial
capacity will void this warranty. If a defect
appears in the Product before the end
of the warranty period and we nd the
Product to be defective in materials
or workmanship, we will replace the
Product with a product comparable in
quality and value.
We reserve the right to change or
discontinue our product ranges at any
time without notice and without liability.
Exclusions
This warranty does not apply if proper
care and/or usage instructions are not
followed. This warranty does not cover
scratches, stains, discoloration or damage
caused by misuse.
How to Claim
If a fault/defect is identied cease
using the Product immediately. To
make a claim on this guarantee, take
the Product, proof of purchase and full
details of the alleged defect to a Kitchen
Warehouse store.
Limitations
We make no express warranties or
representations other than as set out in
this guarantee. The replacement of the
product or the refund of the purchase
price is the absolute limit of our liability
under this guarantee.
