INTRODUCTION
These guidelines contain technical descriptions, installation directions, assembly
directions, instructions for maintenance and technical data and guarantee conditions.
INTENDED USE
The product is produced, and installed, to perform constant air replacement in an
individual room. The product may be installed only indoors in a living room or bedroom in
residences or in public locations. The product must not be installed in wetrooms.
The product is delivered with a ceramic heat exchanger, which accumulates heat during
the extraction of air from the room. During the intake of fresh air from the outside, the
ceramic heat exchanger transfers the accumulated heat to the new, fresh air.
The product is intended for wall mounting. The wall duct, which contains the heat
exchanger, is used for walls with a maximum thickness of 400 mm. For thicker walls, a
longer wall duct needs to be purchased. The wall duct can be shortened to a minimum of
250 mm.
Neither the incoming nor the outgoing air should contain flammable or explosive mixtures,
chemical vapours, dust, oils or other pathogenic substances in general.

GUARANTEE
The product grants a 5-year guarantee against manufacturing defects. The purchase
receipt comprises the proof of guarantee. It is recommended that the receipt be copied or
scanned, because the printer's ink often fades over time.
The guarantee ceases to apply in the event of: Unauthorised installation, incorrect
installation, if the installation deviates from the manual, inappropriate installation,
inappropriate handling of the unit or parts thereof, operating disruptions in the electrical
power supply.

TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
The heat exchanger system is categorised as a Class II product. Protection level IPX4.
The operating temperature is between -20 °C and +50 °C at a maximum relative humidity
of 80 %. The product is being developed on an on-going basis, hence some models may
deviate from those that are described in these guidelines.

CONSTRUCTION
The product consists of an interior wall-mounted unit, a wall duct, which contains the
ceramic heat exchanger and filters as well as an exterior wall-mounted part and wind
deflector.

INSTALLATION
Installation must only be performed by a certified electrical installation technician.
Before the product is mounted or used, all the instructions in these guidelines must be
read carefully. Moreover, make sure prior to mounting to have all the requisite materials
and tools for the installation.
The directions in these guidelines must be carefully followed. Any deviation will result in
invalidation of the guarantee.
Make sure that the main power supply in the installation room has been shut off before the
electrical operating parts of the unit are mounted.
The power supply grid must be furnished with safety relays with a contact separation in all
poles, giving full shut-off in the event of overvoltage category III conditions.
Connection to ground is not required.
The unit must not be installed in the vicinity of curtains, coverings, etc., because this can
affect the proper functioning of the product. For installations in rooms with other
mechanical ventilation, the occurrence of conflicts between the different units must be
avoided. Do not install in wetrooms.
The fan must be installed high above the floor in order to utilise the rising heat in the room.
For the installation of more than one unit in the same room, the distance between the units
must be at least 3 metres.

1) MOUNTING
Once the installation site has been chosen, the middle of the wall hole must be marked.
Make sure that there is sufficient space on both the interior and exterior walls for a radius
of 15 cm from the middle of the hole, which corresponds to the overall dimensions of the
product. Make sure that there are no disrupting elements, other walls or immovable
objects within this area.
The hole diameter for installation is:
Tempero Eco 160: Ø160mm - Tempero Eco 100: Ø100mm
The wall duct must be installed through the hole with an outward slope of 1 ° - 2 °, in order
to allow for discharge of natural condensation. The wall thickness must be a minimum of
250mm and a maximum of 400 mm.
If the wall thickness is less than 250mm, then the product cannot be installed.
If the wall thickness is greater than 400mm, a longer wall duct must be purchased.
Maximum 3 metres.
Once the hole has been made, insert the wall duct into the 6) wall.
Make sure that the length of the wall duct (6) is precisely equal to the wall thickness.
The wall duct must be flush with the surfaces of both the exterior wall and the interior wall.
The intervening gap between the wall duct and wall must be filled on both the exterior and
interior.
NOTE: The duct length cannot be less than 250mm

If necessary, adjust the wall duct to the thickness of the wall with suitable tools as shown
below:
Once the length of the wall duct (6) has been adjusted to the exact thickness of the wall,
separate the wind deflector (5) from the exterior wall mounting part (4e). Mount the
exterior wall mounting part (4e) on the exterior wall as shown below:
Insert the centring diameter on the wall
mounting part (4e) in wall duct (6).
When the exterior wall mounting part has been centred in the wall duct, mark the fastening
holes on the exterior wall using a spirit level as shown below:

Make the holes and insert plugs for wall mounting.
Screw the exterior wall mounting part (4e) firmly into the exterior wall.
Fasten the exterior wind deflector (5) on the wall mounting part (4e), as shown below:
2) ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Installation must only be performed by a certified electrical installation technician.
Check that the voltage in the installation room accords with what is specified on the
product label.
Make sure that the main electrical power supply in the installation room has been shut off
before electrical mounting work is performed.
Identify the version of the product, and carefully read all instructions concerning electrical
connections.
Use the same procedure to place the interior wall mounting part (4i) in the wall duct (6) as
for the exterior wall mounting part (4e).

Use a spirit level to mark out and make four holes for fastening the interior wall mounting
part (4i) to the wall.
In the interior side, it is necessary to install the power supply cords in order to connect
them with the cords that come with the product.
Establish an outlet for the wiring, in that highlighted area shown on the picture.
Either hidden in the wall, or as a visible cable installation.

CONNECTION THROUGH A POWER SUPPLY CABLE FROM THE WALL:
When plugs for the wall mounting part have been inserted, pull the terminal block out of
the interior wall mounting part (4i) and pass the cable through the associated opening,
before fastening the wall mounting part.
CONNECTION WITH A VISIBLE EXTERIOR CABLE
Break the plastic button that is shown below to create free space for the cable.
Draw the terminal block out of the interior wall mounting part, and let the cables pass
through the associated opening, fasten the cord in the stress relief stirrup with the two
screws.
