INTRODUCTION
These guidelines contain technical descriptions, installation directions, assembly
directions, instructions for maintenance and technical data and guarantee conditions.
INTENDED USE
The product is produced, and installed, to perform constant air replacement in an
individual room. The product may be installed only indoors in a living room or bedroom in
residences or in public locations. The product must not be installed in wetrooms.
The product is delivered with a ceramic heat exchanger, which accumulates heat during
the extraction of air from the room. During the intake of fresh air from the outside, the
ceramic heat exchanger transfers the accumulated heat to the new, fresh air.
The product is intended for wall mounting. The wall duct, which contains the heat
exchanger, is used for walls with a maximum thickness of 400 mm. For thicker walls, a
longer wall duct needs to be purchased. The wall duct can be shortened to a minimum of
250 mm.
Neither the incoming nor the outgoing air should contain flammable or explosive mixtures,
chemical vapours, dust, oils or other pathogenic substances in general.

GUARANTEE
The product grants a 5-year guarantee against manufacturing defects. The purchase
receipt comprises the proof of guarantee. It is recommended that the receipt be copied or
scanned, because the printer's ink often fades over time.
The guarantee ceases to apply in the event of: Unauthorised installation, incorrect
installation, if the installation deviates from the manual, inappropriate installation,
inappropriate handling of the unit or parts thereof, operating disruptions in the electrical
power supply.

TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
The heat exchanger system is categorised as a Class II product. Protection level IPX4.
The operating temperature is between -20 °C and +50 °C at a maximum relative humidity
of 80 %. The product is being developed on an on-going basis, hence some models may
deviate from those that are described in these guidelines.

CONSTRUCTION
The product consists of an interior wall-mounted unit, a wall duct, which contains the
ceramic heat exchanger and filters as well as an exterior wall-mounted part and wind
deflector.

INSTALLATION
Installation must only be performed by a certified electrical installation technician.
Before the product is mounted or used, all the instructions in these guidelines must be
read carefully. Moreover, make sure prior to mounting to have all the requisite materials
and tools for the installation.
The directions in these guidelines must be carefully followed. Any deviation will result in
invalidation of the guarantee.
Make sure that the main power supply in the installation room has been shut off before the
electrical operating parts of the unit are mounted.
The power supply grid must be furnished with safety relays with a contact separation in all
poles, giving full shut-off in the event of overvoltage category III conditions.
Connection to ground is not required.
The unit must not be installed in the vicinity of curtains, coverings, etc., because this can
affect the proper functioning of the product. For installations in rooms with other
mechanical ventilation, the occurrence of conflicts between the different units must be
avoided. Do not install in wetrooms.
The fan must be installed high above the floor in order to utilise the rising heat in the room.
For the installation of more than one unit in the same room, the distance between the units
must be at least 3 metres.

1) MOUNTING
Once the installation site has been chosen, the middle of the wall hole must be marked.
Make sure that there is sufficient space on both the interior and exterior walls for a radius
of 15 cm from the middle of the hole, which corresponds to the overall dimensions of the
product. Make sure that there are no disrupting elements, other walls or immovable
objects within this area.
The hole diameter for installation is:
Tempero Eco 160: Ø160mm - Tempero Eco 100: Ø100mm
The wall duct must be installed through the hole with an outward slope of 1 ° - 2 °, in order
to allow for discharge of natural condensation. The wall thickness must be a minimum of
250mm and a maximum of 400 mm.
If the wall thickness is less than 250mm, then the product cannot be installed.
If the wall thickness is greater than 400mm, a longer wall duct must be purchased.
Maximum 3 metres.
Once the hole has been made, insert the wall duct into the 6) wall.
Make sure that the length of the wall duct (6) is precisely equal to the wall thickness.
The wall duct must be flush with the surfaces of both the exterior wall and the interior wall.
The intervening gap between the wall duct and wall must be filled on both the exterior and
interior.
NOTE: The duct length cannot be less than 250mm

If necessary, adjust the wall duct to the thickness of the wall with suitable tools as shown
below:
Once the length of the wall duct (6) has been adjusted to the exact thickness of the wall,
separate the wind deflector (5) from the exterior wall mounting part (4e). Mount the
exterior wall mounting part (4e) on the exterior wall as shown below:
Insert the centring diameter on the wall
mounting part (4e) in wall duct (6).
When the exterior wall mounting part has been centred in the wall duct, mark the fastening
holes on the exterior wall using a spirit level as shown below:

Make the holes and insert plugs for wall mounting.
Screw the exterior wall mounting part (4e) firmly into the exterior wall.
Fasten the exterior wind deflector (5) on the wall mounting part (4e), as shown below:
2) ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Installation must only be performed by a certified electrical installation technician.
Check that the voltage in the installation room accords with what is specified on the
product label.
Make sure that the main electrical power supply in the installation room has been shut off
before electrical mounting work is performed.
Identify the version of the product, and carefully read all instructions concerning electrical
connections.
Use the same procedure to place the interior wall mounting part (4i) in the wall duct (6) as
for the exterior wall mounting part (4e).

Use a spirit level to mark out and make four holes for fastening the interior wall mounting
part (4i) to the wall.
In the interior side, it is necessary to install the power supply cords in order to connect
them with the cords that come with the product.
Establish an outlet for the wiring, in that highlighted area shown on the picture.
Either hidden in the wall, or as a visible cable installation.

CONNECTION THROUGH A POWER SUPPLY CABLE FROM THE WALL:
When plugs for the wall mounting part have been inserted, pull the terminal block out of
the interior wall mounting part (4i) and pass the cable through the associated opening,
before fastening the wall mounting part.
CONNECTION WITH A VISIBLE EXTERIOR CABLE
Break the plastic button that is shown below to create free space for the cable.
Draw the terminal block out of the interior wall mounting part, and let the cables pass
through the associated opening, fasten the cord in the stress relief stirrup with the two
screws.

Fasten the interior wall mounting part (4i) to the wall. Mount the electrical connections as
described in the next section.
2a) BASE VERSION
DIRECT CONNECTION
The power-conducting cords (power and neutral) must be kept within the mounting area.
Take the interior wall mounting part (4i) and the
requisite tool to connect the power supply to the
terminal block and
connect power to ’L’ and neutral to ’N’ correctly and
securely in the terminal block.
For normal operation, with the two built-in switches on the
product's side, the terminals S1and S2are not used. The
terminals S1and S2are used only, if it is decided with cables to
move the operation of the product to external switches on the
wall.

2b) REMOTE VERSION
POWER SUPPLY CONNECTIONS
The power-conducting cords (power and neutral) must be kept within the mounting area.
Take the interior wall mounting part (4i) and the
requisite tool to connect the power supply to the
terminal block and
connect power to ’L’ and neutral to ’N’ correctly and
securely in the terminal block.
Switching on and off can be performed with a cable-connected
external switch. To control the product with an external switch, it
is necessary for the switch on the side of the product to always
be set during operation to ’1’ as shown in picture (Y). To switch
the product on and off through an external switch, a two-pole
switch must be connected in series to "L" and "N" as shown in
picture (a).
The terminals S1and S2are only used for connecting the device
to one or more slave units.
The terminals C1and C2are only used for connecting the device
to an external control panel.

CONNECTION OF MASTER-SLAVE UNITS
Model REMOTE can be configured as a MASTER unit that can control up to 16 units in
series. The cable connection is performed as per the diagram below:
Use of different cable colours is recommended for to avoid cable connections being
switched around.
NOTE! - As specified in the connection diagram on the MASTER unit, there must not be
other products connected to terminals C1 and C2 on the MASTER unit.
NOTE! - It is necessary to pay attention to securing the cord connection between the
signals S1-C1 and S2-C2 to avoid damage to the electronic unit.
CONNECTION OF EXTERNAL CONTROL PANEL TO REMOTE VERSION
When connecting the extra-equipment "Remote-panel", or preparing for later connection of a
’Remote-panel’, it is necessary to connect two cords to the terminals "C¹" and "C²", which will be
connected to the terminals on the ’Remote-panel’.
Specific instructions for installation of "Remote-panel" accompany the device.

CONFIGURATION OF MASTER-SLAVE UNITS. ONLY REMOTE VERSION
Check that the master unit does not have other products connected to the terminals C1
and C2, and then continue by switching on the power supply. The red LED lamp lights up
for the first 10 seconds, while the product is automatically being configured as the master.
To check that the configuration is ok, press on the "AUTO" button when the red LED lamp
stops. When the red LED lamp gives the signal corresponding to the "AUTO” mode, then
the product has been configured as MASTER.
Once the unit has been configured as a MASTER unit, continue by configuring the SLAVE units.
DO NOT SEND ANY REMOTE COMMAND TO THE SLAVE UNITS.
The MASTER unit must be running before the next SLAVE unit is switched on with the
"0/1" button, in order to give the MASTER unit time to configure the SLAVE units in the
desired order.
Switch on, via the main power switch, the SLAVE units in order, however only first after
the preceding unit has begun running.
1) Master unit
2) Slave 1, which must run in the opposite direction of the Master
3) Slave 2, which must run in the same direction as the Master
4) Slave 3, which must run in the opposite direction of the Master.... etc.
NOTE
If the product is not configured correctly as a MASTER or SLAVE, the unit must be reset
using the ’RESET’ function as described in the guidelines for the remote control.

3) FINISHING MOUNTING
After connecting the cables, place the terminal block and cables carefully on the proper
place. Insert the ceramic heat exchanger (7) with associated filters (8) and place it in the
center of the wall duct (6) as shown below:
Now assemble the main unit (3) with the automatic closing damper (2) and the decorative
front panel (1). Place the switches at the upper left corner and install the main unit on the
interior wall mounting part (4i).
Once the product has been installed, the components must be placed as shown above.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
All maintenance activities must only be performed by a qualified person.
Switch off the power supply before performing cleaning or maintenance.
1) MAINTENANCE PERIODS
Clean the filters (8) and the ceramic exchanger (7) every three months.
The filters must be replaced every third year.
1a) BASE VERSION
The filter alarm is not part of the base version.
1b) REMOTE VERSION
For every 2000 operating hours, the product stops and the indicator lamp placed at the
bottom to the right will issue a constant red light signal.
Clean the filters and the ceramic exchanger as specified in the ’cleaning’ section.
Replace the filters when necessary. At least every other year.
2) CLEANING, all models
Pull the main unit (1 + 2 + 3) free of the interior wall mounting part (4i), by using a flat
screw driver to press carefully on the place in the middle of the bottom side of the product.

When the main unit has been pulled free from the interior wall mounting part (4i), pull it out
with your hands as shown below.
Pull the ceramic heat exchanger out together with the filters (8 + 7 + 8) by pulling the
string, out towards yourself, as shown below.
Clean the wall duct internally with a dry cloth.
WARNING:
THE CERAMIC HEAT EXCHANGER MUST NOT BE CLEANED WITH WATER!

Remove the filters (8+8) from their placement and clean them by using a vacuum cleaner
or by washing them. The filters must be completely dry before they are remounted on the
unit.
When the filters (8) are worn, they must be replaced. At least every other yea
In connection with cleaning/replacement of the filters (8) any possible remnants of dirt/filth
in the ceramic heat exchanger must be removed with a vacuum cleaner.
WARNING:
THE CERAMIC HEAT EXCHANGER MUST NOT BE CLEANED WITH WATER!

When the cleaning has been completed, remount the filters (8) on the heat exchanger (7)
by inserting the filters with the cut-outs under the string, as shown below:
When the cleaning has been completed, the filters and heat exchanger (8-7-8) must be
placed back in the center of the wall duct.

3) CLEANING OF FAN WHEEL AND AUTOMATIC CLOSING DAMPER
Take the main unit (1 + 2 + 3) and remove the decorative panel (1) by fist pulling out the
top and then the bottom.
In order to remove the automatic closing damper (2) from the main unit (3), press carefully
with a flat screwdriver on the pins on the top and bottom of the closing damper.
Clean the automatic closing damper (2) with a dry cloth. NEVER WITH WATER!
Clean the fan blades on the main unit (3) with a dry cloth. NEVER WITH WATER!
