understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into

this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
1) WORK AREA:
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate impact drivers in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Impact drivers create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating an impact driver. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
2) PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a impact
driver. Do not use an impact driver while you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating impact drivers may result in
serious personal injury.
b) Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
c) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the impact driver in unexpected situations.
d) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving
parts.
e) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust
related hazards.
f) Wear ear protectors when impact driving.Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
3) IMPACT DRIVER USE AND CARE
a) Do not force the impact driver. Use the correct impact driver for your application. The
correct impact driver will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the impact driver if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any impact driver
that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Store idle impact drivers out of the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the impact driver or these instructions to operate the impact driver. Impact
drivers are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain impact drivers. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts and any other condition that may affect operation. If damaged, have the impact
driver repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained impact drivers.
f) Use the impact driver, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these

instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of impact driver, taking
into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the impact
driver for operations different from intended could result in a hazardous situation.
g) Both tools and workpieces can heat up considerably during the drilling operation. Allow a
sufficient period of cooling before handling. Wear appropriate gloves.
4) BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable
for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
b) Use impact drivers only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other
battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from
one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, immediately seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
5) SERVICE
a) Have your impact driver serviced by a qualified repair person, using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the impact driver is maintained.
6) SPECIAL SAFETY ADVICE FOR CORDLESS DRILL
Wear ear protectors with drills. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss. Use auxiliary handles
supplied with the tool. Loss of control can cause personal injury.
Recharge the Battery only with the provided charger. Before starting any work on walls, floors or
similar, make sure that all power lines in the work area are switched off at the main switchboard.
Inspect the proposed drill hole location for any utility lines (e.g. water, gas, power) before drilling.
Use a suitable device such as a metal or electricity line detecting device. If in doubt contact a
qualified electrician or your utility provider.
IMPACT DRIVER USE AND CARE
•Do not modify the impact driver in any way. Unauthorized modification may impair the
function and/or safety and could affect the life of the equipment. There are specific
applications for which the impact driver was designed.
•Always check of damaged or worn out parts before using the impact driver. Broken
parts will affect the impact driver operation. Replace or repair damaged or worn parts
immediately.
•Store idle impact driver. When impact driver is not in use, store it in a secure place out of
the reach of children. Inspect it for good working condition prior to storage and before
re-use.

OPERATION
INSERTION AND REMOVAL OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
After ensuring the correct orientation between the battery and the battery compartment,
insert the rechargeable battery into the machine. Do not apply force when inserting
the battery. Insertion can be achieved easily and without resistance. The battery
must be inserted completely until the battery retention clips on the sides of the
battery compartment automatically lock it into place. To remove the battery press
the battery retention clips and pull the battery out of its compartment.
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK:
The rechargeable battery must be charged before the first use. Only recharge the battery once it is
has been fully discharged, i.e. the performance clearly decreases. Otherwise the battery may not
achieve its full capacity at the subsequent charge.
Important! Only use the provided battery charger for charging the battery. First place the
rechargeable battery into the charging slot in the charger and then connect the charger to the outlet.
Charging starts automatically.
Remove the battery from the charge after it’s fully charged (after about 75±15 minutes). Always
disconnect the charger from the outlet before you remove the battery from the charger.
•The charger and battery may become warm to touch while charging. This is a normal
condition and does not indicate a problem.
•Use the charger at normal room temperatures whenever possible. To prevent overheating,
do not cover the charger and do not charge the battery in direct sunlight or near heat
sources.
•If the battery does not charge properly, check current at power outlet by plugging in a lamp
or other appliance. If charging problems persist, have the complete impact driver checked
by an electrician or a power tool technician.
BATTERY AND CHARGER SAFETY FEATURES
Overcharge Protection
The Overcharge protection will ensure that the battery is never overcharged. When the battery has
reached its full charge capacity, the charger will shut off, protecting the internal components of the
battery from being damaged.
Over Discharge Protection
An internal component of the battery pack is an over discharge protector. This feature will stop the
battery from discharging beyond the recommended lowest safety voltage.
Overheat Protection
The battery has an internal thermal cutoff sensor which will cease the charging cycle if the battery
becomes hot during the charging process. This thermal sensor will also stop the battery from
operating should the battery become too hot during the operation of the tool. This can happen when
the tool is overloaded or being used for extended periods of time.

Up to 30 min. in cooling time may be required depending on ambient temperature and operation
being performed.
Overcurrent Protection
Should the battery be overloaded and the maximum current draw be exceeded, the battery will
temporarily stop working to protect the internal components. The battery will resume to normal
operation once the excessive current draw has returned to normal safe level. This may take a few
seconds.
Short Circuit Protection
If the battery pack were to short circuit the short circuit protector immediately stops the battery pack
from operating. This will ensure that no further internal components of the battery or the tools are
damaged.
Battery
The length of service from each charging cycle will depend on the type of work you are doing. The
battery for this impact driver has been designed to provide maximum trouble-free life. However, like
all batteries, it will eventually wear out.
To obtain the longest possible battery life:
•Store and charge your battery in a cool area. Temperatures above or below normal room
temperature will shorten battery life.
•Never store batteries in a discharged condition. Recharge them immediately after they are
discharged.
•All batteries gradually lose their charge. The higher the temperature, the quicker they lose
their charge. If you store your drill for long periods of time without using it, recharge the
batteries every month or two. This practice will prolong battery life.
1/4in. Quick Release Chuck
The screwdriver has a quick release chuck. Make sure that the screw bit is not skewed when it is
inserted and the chuck tightened. The chuck is divided into two parts. The rear is called the collar
and the front is the body.
To open and close the chuck, release chuck, grasp and hold the collar of the chuck with one hand
and rotate the chuck body with your other hand.
The arrows on the chuck indicate in which direction to rotate the chuck body in order to Grip (tighten)
or Release (unlock) the screw bit.
WARNING: Do not hold the chuck body with one hand and use power of the drill to
tighten or loosen the chuck jaws. The chuck body could slip and your hand could come in
contact with a rotating accessory. This could cause an accident resulting in personal injury.

Inserting screw or driver bits
Important! Always remove the battery before you change the screw bit to avoid unintentional starting
of the machine.
Pull back on the quick-release chuck, insert the screw or driver bit into the chuck and release. Make
sure the bit is secure in the chuck before operating.
Repeat above see to remove bit from chuck.
Only use tool bits which can be securely fastened in the chuck and for which the drill has been
designed.
On/Off Trigger:
Use the On/Off trigger to start the machine and keep holding it for continuous operation.
The rotation speed can be varied by depressing the On/Off trigger. The more the trigger is
depressed, the faster the rotation speed.
To switch the machine off, release the On/Off trigger
Forward / Reverse switch:
Important! The machine has to come to a complete stop before the reverse rotation lever can be
used; otherwise the machine may be damaged.
Use the reverse-rotation lever to switch between clockwise (normal) and anticlockwise rotation or
vice-versa. With the reverse-rotation lever in the central position the trigger switch is locked and
cannot be depressed. Put the reverse-rotation lever in the central position before you put the
machine down, to avoid unintentional starting.
DANGER: Explosion Hazard. Dispose of batteries properly. Check with your local
authorities for recycling guidelines. Do not throw into a fire for disposal.
MAINTENANCE
•Maintain your impact driver. It is recommended that the general condition of any impact driver
be examined before it is used. Keep your impact driver in good repair by adopting a program of
conscientious repair and maintenance. Have necessary repairs made by qualified service
personnel
•Always remove the battery before carrying out any work on the machine. To clean, always
use a dry or moist, but not wet, towel. Many cleaning agents contain chemical substances which
may cause damage to the plastic parts of the machine. Therefore do not use any strong or
inflammable cleaners such as petrol, paint thinner, turpentine or similar cleaning agents.
•Always keep air ventilation holes free of dust deposits to prevent overheating.
