Step 2: Secure Motor to Machine Frame
1. Wipe down shaft and motor’s
rotor hub bore. Light oil
residue is acceptable, but
remove grease and other
contaminates.
2. Slide motor onto the shaft.
Install four (4) mounting bolts
(customer supplied). Tighten
bolts in an alternating pattern
to fully secure motor to
machine frame.
Check
Here
Step 3: Access Compression Coupling
1. Remove the Black Phillips
Screw from the hole labeled
“A” to access the compres-
sion coupling.
Step 4: Tighten Compression Coupling
1. Insert a hex bit attached to a
torque wrench into the hole
labeled “A” and tighten the
compression coupling:
C04x: Use a 5 mm hex bit
and torque to 12.4 N-m [110
lb-in].
C05x & C06x: Use a 6 mm
hex bit and torque to 30 N-m
[264 lb-in].
Failure to properly torque
the compression coupling
can allow the shaft to slip in
the hub. This relative mo-
tion can generate enough
heat to permanently weld
the hub and shaft together!

Step 5: Secure Hardware for Run Conguration
1. Remove Silver Hex Alignment
Screw from the hole labeled
“B” and secure it into the hole
labeled “A”.
C04x: Use a 6mm hex bit and
torque to 9 N-m [80 lb-in].
C05x & C06x: Use a 8mm
hex bit and torque to 18 N-m
[160 in-lb].

Step 6: Conrm Free Rotation
Torque specication in Step
5 must be followed to en-
sure IP-65 compliance!
1. Secure the Black, Phillips
Screw into the hole labeled
“B”. Torque the Phillips head
screw to 3.4 N-m [30 lb-in].
1. Rotate shaft or load by hand
to ensure free rotation.
Congratulations!
Your Kollmorgen Cartridge DDR® motor
is ready for operation.
Small Frame Motor Removal Instructions
Step 1: Align Rotor
1. Remove the Black Phillips Screw
from the hole labeled “B”
2. Insert a 5 mm hex bit (C04X) or
6 mm hex bit (C05X/C06X) into
the hole labeled “B” and rotate
the shaft until the hex bit falls
into the alignment hole in the ro-
tor. Rotate shaft gently by hand.
Rotating the shaft under the
motor’s power or forcibly rotat-
ing a large inertia may damage
the rotor hub, housing, or hex bit
when the bit drops into place.
3. Remove the hex bit without ro-
tating the shaft.

labeled “B”. The Alignment
screw must fully engage the
rotor such that the shoulder
of the Alignment screw is
against the motor housing
Motor rotor will not rotate
once this pin is properly
engaged.
C04X: Use a 6 mm hex bit.
C05X & C06X: Use a 8 mm
hex bit.
Check
Here
Step 3: Loosen Compression Coupling
1. Insert a hex bit attached to a
wrench into the hole labeled
“A” and loosen the compres-
sion coupling. To insure
the compression coupling is
released, loosen the bolt one
complete revolution passed
nger tight.
C04X: Use a 5 mm hex bit.
C05X & C06X: Use a 6 mm
hex bit.
Step 4: Install Phillips Head Screw

1. Führen Sie einen Drehmoment
schlüssel mit einem Sechstkan-
taufsatz in die Bohrung „A“ ein
und ziehen Sie die Klemmkup-
plung fest:
C04x: Verwenden Sie einen
5 mm-Sechskantaufsatz und
ziehen Sie die Klemmkupplung
mit 12,4 Nm fest.
C05x & C06x: Verwenden Sie
einen 6 mm-Sechskantaufsatz
und ziehen Sie die Klemmkup-
plung mit 30 Nm fest.
Wenn die Klemmkupplung
nicht ordnungsgemäß fest-
gezogen wird, kann die Welle
in der Nabe durchrutschen.
Diese Reibung kann genügend
Hitze erzeugen, um die Nabe
und die Welle dauerhaft mit-
einander zu verschweißen!

Schritt 5: Befestigungsteile für den Betrieb sichern
1. Entfernen Sie die silberne Sechskant-
schraube aus der Bohrung „B“ und
schrauben Sie sie in die Bohrung „A“.
C04x: Verwenden Sie einen 6 mm-
Sechskantaufsatz und ziehen Sie die
Klemmkupplung mit 9 Nm fest.
C05x & C06x: Verwenden Sie einen
8 mm-Sechskantaufsatz und ziehen
Sie die Klemmkupplung mit 18 Nm
fest.
Schritt 6: Freie Drehung überprüfen
Die Drehmomentangaben in Schritt
5 sind zu befolgen, um die Schut-
zart IP65 zu gewährleisten.
2. Schrauben Sie die schwarze
Kreuzschraube in die Bohrung „B“.
Ziehen Sie die Kreuzschraube mit 3,4
Nm an.
1. Drehen Sie die Welle oder die Last
mit der Hand, um sicherzustellen,
dass sie frei dreht.
Ihr Kollmorgen Cartridge DDR® Motor
ist jetzt einsatzbereit.
Demontage kleiner Motoren
Schritt 1: Rotor ausrichten
1. Entfernen Sie die schwarze
Kreuzschraube aus der Bohrung „B“.
2. Führen Sie einen 5 mm-Sechskan-
taufsatz (C04X) bzw. einen 6 mm-
Sechskantaufsatz (C05X/C06X) in
die Bohrung „B“ ein und drehen Sie
die Welle, bis der Sechskantaufsatz
in die Ausrichtungsbohrung im Rotor
fällt. Drehen Sie die Welle vorsichtig
mit der Hand. Wenn Sie die Welle bei
angetriebenem Motor oder bei hohem
Trägheitsmoment drehen, kann die
Rotornabe, das Gehäuse oder der
Sechskantaufsatz beschädigt werden,
wenn der Aufsatz einrastet.
3. Entfernen Sie den Sechskantaufsatz,
ohne die Welle zu drehen.

Schritt 2: Ausrichtungsschraube anbringen
1. Entfernen Sie die silberne
Sechskantschraube aus der
Bohrung „A“ und schrauben
Sie sie in die Bohrung „B“. Die
Schraube muss vollständig
im Rotor fassen, sodass
der Schraubenkopf am
Motorgehäuse anliegt. Der Rotor
des Motors lässt sich nicht mehr
drehen, wenn diese Schraube
richtig fasst.
C04X: Verwenden Sie einen
6 mm-Sechskantaufsatz.
C05X & C06X: Verwenden Sie
einen 8 mm-Sechskantaufsatz.
Schritt 3: Klemmkupplung lösen
Schritt 4: Kreuzschraube anbringen
1. Schrauben Sie die schwarze
Kreuzschraube in die Bohrung
„A“.
DDR Motor Mounting Guide | Schritt 2: Ausrichtungsschraube anbringen
1. Führen Sie einen Schlüssel
mit einem Sechskantaufsatz
in die Bohrung „A“ ein und
lösen Sie die Klemmkupplung.
Um sicherzustellen, dass die
Klemmkupplung gelöst wird,
lösen Sie die Schraube um
eine volle Umdrehung über den
handfesten Anzug hinaus.
C04X: Verwenden Sie einen
5-mm-Sechskantaufsatz.
C05X & C06X: Verwenden Sie
einen 6-mm-Sechskantaufsatz.
