Manual guide for stationary heater
Vulkan
1

General information
Vulkan radiator is a device powered gas LPG propane – butane, adapted for use with standard 11 kg cylinders.
In order to connect the cylider to the radiator, use a connection kit (specific for our country), consisting of an approved hose,
regulator and hose clamps ( connection kit is not included ).
Instructions for safe use
It is essential to observe the following rules of use. Stationary patio heater Vulkan is intended for external use ( away from living quaters), or with
safety for use in well ventilated buildings.
T PES OF THREATS:
1 2 3 4
- caution: gas appliance – check for leaks, refer to the proper operation of the valve ( 2),
- caution: exhaust – a device used in well ventilated areas (4),
-
caution: high temperature – do not touch the hot areas ( ,3),
- caution: keep away from children and pets,
- caution: installation and storage of gas cylinders made in accordance with the relevant provisions on liquid gas,
- caution: replace hose connection at the recomended intervals,
- caution: use the gas cylinder permitted in Your country and ecomended by the manufacturer,
- caution: close the gas valve after use heater,
- caution: too hogh caloric value of the gas mixture composition or an improper balance propane / butane can cause
contamination( soot) of glass tube,
- caution_ for the proper ventilation chamber of the cylinder, screw the legs to the base.
*CONDITIONALLY IS POSSIBLE TO USING THE PROPANE WHEN TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 5 CELSIUS DEGREES.

Before first use:
- check that the delivered roduct has no visible damage,
- carefully remove the acking material, with cardboard s acer on to of the glass tube,
- screw the legs to the base,
- attach the radiator to the ground ( ermanently) – a ledge in assembly.
Note: The burner is equipped with a remote control (candle) to its ignition followed mildly This is also a
protection against a possible blow off the flame Valve knob is protected against acidental operation
Before next use:
- check that the valve knob is in the neutal osition „O”,
- raise the barrel housing and secure by sus ending her on a chain located on the rod rack,
- connect the flexible gas hose and regulator from the cylinder burner nozzle (reducer connection kit is not included in
the radiator), secure the connection with clam s,
- unscrew the valve in the gas cylinder,
- check the tightness of the connections made with the hel of foaming agent(eg. Water with soa ). Never use an o en
flame to check tightness.
Using of Valve knob:
1.Burner venting
- ress lightly the knob and turn to the left ( counter clockwise) by 90° to osition (2) PILOT and holding down the
dial, wait a rox. 1,5 minutes,
- return to the starting osition – ress the knob slightly and turn to the right( clockwise) to the starting osition „1”
OFF,
- wait a rox. 1 minute to ventilate the gas accumulated during venting,
2.Burning the remote control ( candles) of the burner
- ress firmly until it sto s in the direction of the housing and turn the knob to the left by 90° to osition (2) PILOT
(during turning to be without fear to break significant resistance collareral). During the rotation the sound will be heard
by the agneto s ark excitation. The ilot must at this oint ignited,
- jif it will turn on the remote control, turn the dial to the starting osition and re eat the test of fire. In case the remote
control does not start within one minute wait another two minutes (ventilate the ignition zone), and may re eat the
ignition,
- wait a rox. 1 minute until the sensor heating security and turn to the left ( counter to clockwise), gently ressing it
into the working osition.
3.Working locations.
-burner valve has two o erating ositions:
first – (3) LOW – work erformance a rox 60%,
second – (4) HIGH – working at full ca acity.
Safety
Follow all o erating rules outlined in the intoduction to the manual guide.
All activities of the radiator must be done with burner off, after cooling the radiator.
Exchange cylinders and gas heater venting system should only be made in the o en air away from sources of
ignition.
During o eration some arts of the heater get very hot, es ecially: glass tube, reflector, safety net, the u er
band of eaks and deflectors.
Touching these arts during o eration and u to 10 min. after off the burner, can cause burn or ignite
flammable materials in contact with these arts
Every time You change the gas cylinder, check the tightness of the gas hose to the burner, regulator and
cylinder.
4

During the o eration the heater must be attached to a flat, stable surface to rovide a sufficient distanse from
materials with flammability, or any features that could be heat damage ( deformation, sintering) Minimum
distance from each side of the radiator, from com onents made of these materials should be at least 1,2 meters.
When o erating the heater under a roof, or in a lace bulit to be adequate ventilation (at least 20% o en cubic
ca acity).
The heater should be o erated by adults who are familiar with the instructions. The heater must be rotected
from the reach of children and ets.
Radiators used for o en s ace should be rotected from adverse weather conditions. Do not use the heater in
strong winds and during rain and snow.
Although the i e is made of high boron-silicon glass, in direct contact with hot water with glass tube, there is
a risk that stress will cause the formation of craks or s ater glass. In this case, there is a danger of injury of
eo le in the vicinity.
When o erating under o en roofs (umbrellas )and the ower setting of the burner is in ositon (3) LOW their
height should not be less than 2,5m ( lease control the roof heating)
Do not use the heater near stored flammable materials.
In the event of any damage to radiator, es ecially burner malfunction, breakage of glass tubing, or feel a
characteristic odor of gas, immediately turn off the heater and turn off and disconnect the gas cylinder.
In this case, wait for it to cool the radiator and erform corrective actions s ecified in the „troubleshooting” or
contact the manufacturer's service.
After each use, turn the valve knob to the „O” -zero and turn off the cylinder. In case of longer downtimes,
disconnect the cylinder and move it to a safe storage lace.
Fault and troubleshooting
I can't light a candle burner –check that the cylinder valve is turned on,
–vent the gas burner system (see „burner venting”),
–check if the knob is not based on the body reventing s ark excitation.
You smell gas –check the tightness of connection kit using a foaming agent (eg. Water and
soa ,
–check that the gas cylinder seal is not damaged.
The heater fires but then goes out –check that the burner does not rotrude beyond the edge of the radiator body,
–check that when inserting the cylinder, not arched sheet under the burner ( the
burner is horizontal).
