1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Soupro Limited Inc. (hereinafter referred to collectively as “the Company”) warrants that your new KOMODO Electric
Fireplace is free from manufacturing and materials defects for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase. Subject to the
following conditions and limitations:
1. The electric fireplace must be installed and operated at all times in accordance with the installation
and operating instructions furnished with the product. Any unauthorized repair, alteration, willful abuse,
accident, or misuse of the product shall nullify this warranty.
2. This warranty is non-transferable, and is made to the original owner, provided that the purchase was
made through an authorized supplier of the Company.
3. The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of part(s) found to be defective in material or
workmanship – provided that such part(s) have been subjected to normal conditions of use and service –
after said defect is conrmed by the Company’s inspection. All replacement parts or products will be new,
remanufactured, or refurbished.
4. The Company may, at its discretion, require that any defective part(s) be returned in exchange for the
replacement part(s).
5. The Company may, at its discretion, fully discharge all obligations with respect to this warranty by
refunding the wholesale price of the defective part(s).
6. This warranty does not cover the LED light bar included with the electric replace.
7. Any installation, labor, construction, transportation, or other related costs/expenses arising from defective
part(s), repair, replacement, or otherwise of same, will not be covered by this warranty, nor shall the
Company assume responsibility for the same.
8. The owner/user assumes all other risks – if any – including but not limited to the risk of any direct, indirect
or consequential loss or damage arising out of the use, or inability to use the product, except as provided
by law.
9. All other warranties – express or implied – with respect to the unit, its components and accessories, or
any obligations/liabilities on the part of the Company are hereby expressly excluded.
10. The Company neither assumes, nor authorizes any third party to assume on its behalf, any other liabilities
with respect to the sale of the unit.
11. The warranties as outlined within this document do not apply to non-accessories used in conjunction with
the installation of this product.

Soupro Limited Inc. (hereinafter referred to collectively as “the Company”) warrants that your new KOMODO Electric
Fireplace is free from manufacturing and materials defects for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase. Subject to the

Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product.

WARNING: Place this unit in a location that avoids direct sunlight and high temperatures.
WARNING: Plastic bags, nails, etc. should be kept out of reach of children.
WARNING: This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, DO NOT let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep
combustible material, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains, at least 3 feet from the front
of the heater and keep them away from the side and rear.
WARNING:Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or individuals with

Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic areas and where it will not be

Safety Information
Use this rebox only as described in the manual. Any other use is NOT recommended by the manufacturer and may cause
re, electric shock or injury to persons.
CAUTION:
• If possible, ALWAYS unplug this rebox when not in use.
• DO NOT operate any rebox with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions.
• DO NOT operate any rebox if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Disconnect power at service panel and have
rebox inspected by a reputable electrician before reusing.
• Any repairs to this unit should be carried out by appropriately qualied service personnel.
• Under no circumstances should this unit be modied. Parts having to be removed for servicing must be replaced prior to
operating this unit again.
• DO NOT use outdoors.
• This unit is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. NEVER place heater where it may
fall into a bathtub or other water container.
• To disconnect this unit, turn all controls to the OFF position, then remove plug from outlet.
• ONLY connect to properly grounded outlets.
• This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes, with the current CSA C22.1
Canadian Electrical Code or, for USA installations, follow the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA NO.70.
• To prevent a possible re, DO NOT block any air intakes or exhaust in any manner. DO NOT use on soft surfaces, like a
bed, where opening may become blocked.
• ALWAYS plug this unit directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. NEVER use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap
(outlet/power strip).
• This heater includes an automatic protection system that will shut off the unit to prevent overheating. If the unit is at risk of
overheating, the thermal cut out will shut off the heater to prevent damage or risk of re.
• DO NOT slide rebox on top of wood to avoid scratching wood surface.
• DO NOT place any objects on top of rebox and top air intake vents as this will cause the unit to overheat and can cause a
re.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:
• A 15-amp, 120-volt, 60 Hz circuit with a properly grounded
outlet is required. Preferably, the fireplace will be on
a dedicated circuit as other appliances on the same
circuit may cause the circuit breaker to trip or the fuse
to blow when the heater is in operation. The unit comes
standard with 6-ft. three-wire cord, exiting from the rear
of the fireplace. DO NOT exceed the current rating of
the current tap. ALWAYS plug this unit directly into a wall
outlet/receptacle. NEVER use with an extension cord or
relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
• This rebox is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug as
shown below. See illustration for grounding instruction. An
adapter as shown at C is available for connecting three-
blade grounding type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The
green grounding lug extending from the adapter must
be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly
grounded outlet box. The adapter should not be used if a
three-slot grounded receptacle is available.

Heater Switch

• The HEATER switch turns the heater ON and OFF. This
switch must be lit for the heater function to work.
Power Switch

• This switch turns the main power ON and OFF.
• The switch will be illuminated when the heater is ON.
• This switch needs to be ON in order to use the heater.
Thermostat
• To adjust the temperature to your individual
requirements, turn the thermostat dial to the right
(clockwise) to increase the temperature and to the left
to decrease the temperature. This thermostat control
dial can only be used while the power switch is in " "
position and the heater is turned on. When the heater
reaches the desired temperature, the heat will turn
off. When the temperature drops below the selected
temperature, heat will restart again.

NOTE: When the heater is not in use, it should be stored in a dry location, away from possible damage. The
power cord should be stored properly to avoid contact with hot or sharp objects.
WARNING: Make sure the power is turned off before proceeding. Any electrical repairs or rewiring of this unit
should be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with national and local codes.
If repairing or replacing an electrical component or wiring, the original wire routing, color coding and securing
locations must be followed.
WARNING: Electrical outlet wiring must comply with local building codes and other applicable regulations to
reduce the risk of re, electrical shock and injury to persons.
WARNING: Do not use this replace if any part of it has been under water. Immediately call a qualied service
technician to inspect the replace and replace any part of the electrical system.
WARNING: Disconnect the power before attempting any maintenance or cleaning to reduce the risk of re,
electrical shock or personal injury.
WARNING: During any service of this appliance, the power to the unit must be turned off. First turn the main
power switch to the "OFF" position. Then remove the electrical plug from the wall outlet.
CLEANING INFORMATION:
• Make sure the unit is turned off, unplugged and the heating elements of heater are cool whenever you are cleaning the
heater.
• Clean the metal trim using a water-dampened, soft, and clean cloth. DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners as
these products will damage the metal trim.
• The motors used on the fan and the flame generator assembly are pre-lubricated for extended bearing life and
require no further lubrication. However, periodic cleaning/vacuuming of the fan/heater and air intake/output vents is
recommended.
• Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
• Allow at least 10 minutes between turning off the unit and removing the light bulb to avoid accidental burning of the skin.
CHANGING THE LIGHT BULB
• The re effect is created with the use of a 40-Watt B-10 candelabra light bulb with an E-12 (small) socket base. The light
bulb will have to be replaced from time to time when they burn out.
• During normal operation, the stove heater will always give a simulated ame function. If the intensity of ame suddenly
increases, it means that the light bulb is going to burn out. Replace the light bulb immediately, according to the instructions.
Do not operate the stove heater when the light bulb burns out or without the light bulb.
STEP 1: Turn the main power switch off, and then unplug the power cord
from the wall outlet.
STEP 2: Loosen the screws holding the stove back panel to the main body
of stove.
STEP 3: You will nd a 40-Watt B-10 candelabra light bulb with E-12 socket
base at the bottom.
STEP 4: Replace the burned out light bulb using a new 40-Watt B-10
candelabra light bulb.
STEP 5: Reinstall the back cover.
STEP 6: Plug in the unit.

Possible Causes
1. Check that unit is plugged into a standard
120 volt outlet. Then make sure power is set
at "ON" position.
2. Unplug unit, wait 5-10 minutes, then the
sensor will reset itself. Plug the unit back
in and turn on the heater. If the problem
persists, call customer service.

4. This is a standard feature; the blower runs
for an additional 20 seconds to ensure heat
will not be trapped inside the unit.

outlet. Make sure the plug fits tightly into
the outlet. During use, check the plug and
outlet frequently to determine if it is HOT;
if so, discontinue use of the appliance and
consult with a qualied electrician to check
or change the overheating outlet(s).

Interruptor del calentador

• Le commutateur de la chaufferette permet de régler
la chaufferette en position de marche et d’arrêt.
L’interrupteur doit être allumé pour activer les fonctions
de la chaufferette.

• Cet interrupteur sert à allumer ou éteindre l’unité.
• Cet interrupteur sera illumine quand la chaufferette est
en marche.
• Cet interrupteur doit etre active pour pouvoir utiliser la
chaufferette.
Bouton du thermostat
• Sert à ajuster la température de consigne, au goût.
Tournez cette commande vers la droite (sens horaire)
pour élever la température et vers la gauche (sens
antihoraire), pour l’abaisser. Ce cadran de commande
du thermostat est fonctionnel seulement lorsque
l’interrupteur d’effet de marche/arrêt et les interrupteurs
de chauffage (heating) sont sur la position «I ». Lorsque
l’appareil de chauffage atteint la température souhaitée,
l’appareil de chauffage et le voyant chauffage
(heating) s’éteindront, mais le ventilateur continuera
de fonctionner avec l’écoulement de l’air. Réglez cette
commande pour remettre l’appareil de chauffage en
fonction.

SOINS ET ENTRETIEN
Remarque: Lorsque le poele n'est pas utilise, il devrait etre entrepose dans un emplacement sec, loin des dommages
potentiels. Le cordon d'alimentation devrait etre entrepose correctement afin d'eviter tout contact avec des objets
chauds ou tranchants.
ATTENTION: Assurez-vous que l'alimentation est coupée avant de procéder. Toutes les réparations électriques ou
recâblage de cet appareil doivent être effectués par un électricien agréé conformément aux codes nationaux et locaux.

ATTENTION: Pendant tout service de cet appareil, l'alimentation de l'appareil doit être mis hors tension. Tout d'abord
tourner l'interrupteur d'alimentation principal sur la position «ARRÊT». Ensuite, retirez la che électrique de la prise
murale.
RENSEIGNEMENTS SUR LE NETTOYAGE :
• Assurez-vous que l'appareil est éteint, débranché l’appareil, attendre que l’appareil soit froid avant de nettoyer.
• Nettoyer la garniture métallique à l'aide d'un chiffon doux et propre imbibé d'eau. NE PAS utiliser de vernis pour laiton
ou de nettoyants ménagers, car ces produits endommagerait la garniture métallique.
• Les moteurs utilisés pour le ventilateur et pour la amme sont pré-lubriés à vie et ne nécessitent aucune lubrication
supplémentaire. Cependant, le nettoyage périodique / passer l’aspirateur dans le ventilateur, de l’élément de chauffage
de l’admission d'air et des évents de sortie est recommandé.
• Tous les autres services doivent être effectuées par un représentant de service autorisé.
• Si la protection contre la surchauffe se déclenche, éteignez tous les interrupteurs et attendez environ 5 à 10 minutes.
Elle devrait se réenclencher automatiquement après le refroidissement de l’unité.
POUR CHANGER L’AMPOULE
• L’effet de amme est obtenu au moyen d’une ampoule d’éclairage à culot à vis de type candélabre B-10, de 40 W, à culot
(petit) E-12. Il vous faudra remplacer cette ampoule à l’occasion, lorsqu’elle grillera à l’usage.
• En temps normal, le poêle-foyer vous procurera la fonction de simulation de amme de façon constante. Mais si l’intensité
de la amme augmente soudainement, cela signie que l’ampoule est sur le point de griller. Remplacez l’ampoule sans
tarder, selon les directives fournies, et n’utilisez pas le poêle-foyer avec une ampoule grillée ou sans aucune ampoule.
Étape 1: Éteindre l’interrupteur d’alimentation principal, puis débrancher le
cordon d’alimentation de la prise murale.
Étape 2: Desserrer les vis qui maintiennent le panneau arriere du poele sur
le corps principal du poele.
Étape 3: Vous trouverez l’ampoule; remplacez-la si elle est grillée.
Étape 4: Remplacez l’ampoule usagée en utilisant une ampoule à
chandelier 40 watts de type B-10.
Étape 5: Remettez en place l’ensemble de buches articielles.
Étape 6: Branchez de nouveau l’appareil.
