Battery information
A full charge takes approximately 4 hours. However, the charging time may increase if you
perform power-intensive tasks (such as playing games or watching videos) on your KONKA
Ultra book during charging.
You can recharge your battery many times, but all batteries have a limited lifespan. If you
notice a significant deterioration in battery life, contact an authorized KONKA service center
for a replacement battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery yourself.
Your KONKA Ultra book may become warm after prolonged use or when exposed to high
ambient temperatures. If your KONKA Ultra book becomes hot to the touch, stop charging it,
disable unnecessary features, and avoid prolonged skin contact. Place it in a cool location
and allow it to cool down to room temperature.
Charging times may vary depending on the ambient temperature and the remaining battery
level.
Your Ultra book will switch off automatically when the battery is nearly empty.

Introduction to Windows 10
Using the Start menu
The familiar Start menu is back, with some improvements, including a space you can
personalize with your favorite apps, programs, people and websites.
To get to the Start menu, select Start in the lower-left corner of the taskbar. You can
also open the Start menu by pressing the Start button located on your
keyboard or device.
The left of the menu provides shortcuts to your frequently-used folders and apps.
Select File Explorer to view all your files and folders.
Select Settings to access the system settings.
Select Power to shut down or restart your KONKA Ultra Book, or enable Sleep mode.
Select all apps to view all apps.
Pinning tiles to Start: Pin your favorite apps or websites to the Start menu and organize
them into groups.
To customize the Start menu, go to Settings >Personalization >Start.
Quick links and frequently used apps
On the left side of the Start menu, you’ll find quick links to PC settings, Documents and File
Explorer at the top. The section just below that lists your most recently used apps and
programs. If you see an arrow next to a program, move your mouse over it to see a list of
your recently used files for that program.
All apps
Click All Apps to see all your apps and programs listed alphabetically. Looking for a specific
app? Just type it in the search box.
Search
Search across your device, your cloud storage on One Drive, and across the Web at the
same time. Simply open the Start menu and type in the search box — Windows search will
do the rest.

- 10 -
You can also open search directly from the taskbar; click Search and start typing.
Pin your favorite apps
Pin apps, programs and folders to the Start menu for fast access to the things you use the
most. Apps with Live Tiles will show updates for the
people and things that matter.
Click Start, select All Apps, right-click the app
you want to pin, and then select Pin to Start.
Once pinned, your app will show up as a tile on the
right. Right-click the tile to change its size. Drag and
drop to move it around. Don’t worry about running out
of space — the Start menu will automatically resize to
hold everything.
Multitasking
Snap windows
Working in multiple apps and programs is easier and more intuitive thanks to enhancements
in snapping. Have up to four programs snapped on the same screen; Windows will even
suggest how to fill the gaps with other open apps and programs.
To snap, click and hold the top of the window and drag it to either the side or corner of the
screen. You’ll see a shadow of where the window will snap; release the window to snap it
into place. Note that in Tech Preview, you are able to view up to four programs at the same
time; Windows Store apps can only be snapped into half screen.
If you have other apps or programs running on your desktop, Windows will suggest how to
fill the remaining space. Simply select an app or program that you would like to use
simultaneously.

- 11 -
By default, the app or program will open as half screen. If you would like it to fill a quadrant,
click and hold the top of the window and drag into an open corner.
Task view
If you have a lot of apps and programs open, there is a new Task view button so you can
quickly switch between them. Click Task view to see all of your running apps and
programs; select any item to open it.
Multiple desktops
If you’re working on a lot of different projects, using different apps and programs, try adding
a desktop. It’ll keep things neatly organized for you. Or, create a desktop for the things you
do at work and one for the things you do at home.
Select Task view from the taskbar, and then click Add a desktop. A thumbnail will
show up at the bottom of the task view page. Click the blank thumbnail to open up a clean
desktop.
To switch between desktops, click Task view and then choose a desktop from the
bottom of the page.

- 12 -
Obtaining help
Use the search feature in the taskbar to obtain help.
Click the search icon in the taskbar or click . Enter a few keywords to search for help.

If you have used your Microsoft account to sign in to other Windows devices, your system
settings will also be synced.
Documents, photos, and other files are saved to One Drive by default. One Drive is a file
