with dribble designer Masakazu Okabe, a soccer
coach who specializes in dribble training. is
product is an earphone-type metronome for use in
dribble practice and sports training that lets you
train while feeling the rhythm with your body.
e DM-1 features nine dierent rhythm patterns,
along with 30 types of dribble training exercises by
Masakazu Okabe for you to practice.
You can also use the DM-1 to improve your
performance in many kinds of sports that require
rhythmical or repetitive motion such as walking,
running in tempo and so on.
Precautions
Location
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a
malfunction.

Power supply
Be sure to turn the power switch to OFF when the unit is
not in use. Remove the battery in order to prevent it from

from radios and televisions.
Handling

Using the DM-1 for other sports
Aside from soccer dribble practice, you can use the DM-1
in a variety of sports training situations that require
rhythmical or repetitive motion.
Using the DM-1 when walking or running
e DM-1 helps you to keep the pace when walking or
running.
Find the right tempo to match your endurance, method of
training and your body’s condition on that day.
Using the DM-1 for various kinds of sports training
Training with the DM-1 will help you to improve your
motor skills by gaining a sense of rhythm. For example, you
can use the DM-1 in ladder training sets to work on your
instantaneous force and for step work training, or for train-
ing in sports aside from soccer where tempo and rhythm
are essential, such as ball games and the martial arts.

Turning the power on

in the display, and the sound

When the batteries run low, the display blinks. When
this occurs, replace the batteries as soon as possible.
Learning how to use this unit
Changing the tempo

the tempo setting screen in the

Wearing the unit on your ear
You can wear the DM-1 on either your le or right ear.
Wearing on your right ear

Slide the ear hook to the right.
❷Rotate the ear cap counter-
clockwise.
Wearing on your left ear
❶Slide the ear hook to the left.
❷Rotate the ear cap clockwise.
e ear cap can move within a 220°
range. Use caution, as the unit may
break if you rotate it any further.
❸While tting the unit onto your ear with the ear
hook, insert the ear cap into your earhole.
Adjust the ear cap so that it ts properly.

Be sure to use the included ear caps. Other ear caps may
cause the unit to fall out more easily, or the ear caps might
stick in your ear and you might have trouble taking them out.
Installing the battery
❶Slide the battery cover in the
direction of the arrow.
❷Open the cover by pulling it
diagonally upwards.
❸Tilt the battery slightly and
push it under the tab.
Make sure that the + and −
terminals on the battery are
correctly oriented.
❹Close the cover to return it to its original position.
When removing the battery, turn the
DM-1 upside down and insert your
ngernail under the battery at the ★
mark to make it easier to remove.
Never insert any metal objects into the gap between the
battery and the unit.
Make sure that the DM-1 is turned o before removing
the battery.
