Please take a little time to read this booklet before getting started and keep it in a safe
place for future reference.
This Mini Induction Hob is a useful extra hob when cooking large meals; or when you
are cooking on the move in small spaces like caravans and boats. It heats up quickly to
give you full control over your cooking, with three temperature settings for keeping food
warm, boiling and frying.

SAFETY CAUTIONS
Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a safe place
for future reference. Always follow these safety cautions when using the appliance to
avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This appliance should be used only as
described in this instruction book.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older
than 8 and supervised.
• Make sure your electricity supply matches the voltage shown on the appliance.
• Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed from
the appliance before the first use.
• Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if
damaged or has been dropped. In the event of damage, or if the appliance develops a
fault contact the Lakeland customer care team on 015394 88100.
• Do not use this appliance if the lead is damaged. If the lead is damaged it must be
replaced with a special lead. Contact the Lakeland customer care team on 015394
88100.
• Always use the appliance on a dry, level, heat resistant surface.
• Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn the
socket to “off “and remove the plug from the mains socket.
• Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those
recommended by Lakeland.
• To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, plug or
base in water or other liquids.
• Do not leave the lead hanging over the edge of a kitchen table or worktop. Avoid
contact between the lead and hot surfaces.
• For indoor use only.
• For domestic use only.
• This appliance should be used for preparation of food as described within the
instructions for use that accompany it.
• Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the plug from the mains
socket. Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by its lead.
• To avoid injury or possible fire, do not cover the appliance when in use.

• Do not connect this appliance to an external timer or remote control system.
• An extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be
at least as great as the appliance. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of the
worktop or touch any hot surfaces.
• This appliance complies with the basic requirements of Directives 2014/30/EU
(Electromagnetic Compatibility) and 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive).
• WARNING: A cut off plug inserted into a 13 amp socket is a serious safety (shock)
hazard. Ensure the cut off plug is disposed of safely.
• CAUTION: The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance or the packaging may be
dangerous. To avoid risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of babies
and children. These bags are not toys.
• Keep the appliance, plug and lead away from hot ovens, electric and gas burners,
flames and hot surfaces.
• The induction hob should only be used at least 10cm away from walls and other
surfaces, to allow airflow through the fan vents. DO NOT insert anything in the
fan vents.
• Do not place metal or magnetic articles such as credit cards, computer discs, or
anything affected by magnetic fields on the hob.
• The induction hob heats very rapidly, so place the food into the pan first before turning
the hob on. Heating an empty pan can discolour the metal and warp the base.
• Place all pans centrally on the hotplate. Only use pans with a base diameter up to 15cm.
• DO NOT use a heat diffuser or place any other material between the hob and the pan
when in use.
• If the glass hob surface is cracked, turn the power off immediately and do not use.
• DO NOT leave the induction hob unattended when in use.

NOTE: Customers with implanted cardiac pacemakers or other electronic medical
implants may be advised by their doctors to avoid proximity to induction cooking
surfaces and other sources of magnetic fields. We therefore do not recommend the
Lakeland Mini Induction Hob for sale to these customers.

USING YOUR MINI INDUCTION HOB FOR THE
FIRST TIME
• Unpack the Mini Induction Hob, remove all the packaging materials.
• Before first use, wipe the hob surface with a clean damp cloth and then a
clean dry cloth.
• Place the induction hob on a flat surface near a socket, at least 10cm away from walls
and other surfaces to allow airflow through the fan vents. Do not insert anything in the
fan vents.
• The Mini Induction Hob is now ready to use.
SELECTING THE CORRECT PAN
Induction cooking uses an electromagnetic coil to convert energy into heat. When the hob
is turned on, and when an induction suitable pan is in placed on the hob, a magnetic field
is generated which heats the pan and therefore the food inside it.
Only use flat-bottomed pans that are induction suitable with a base diameter up
to 15cm with this hob. If you are unsure whether the cookware you have is suitable for
use with this hob, test by holding a magnet to the base of the pan. If you find that the
magnet sticks, the pan can be used on the hob. If the cookware is unsuitable for use, the
hob will not detect the pan.
Metal cooking utensils are not recommended since they can be heated through the
induction hob if left in the pan during cooking. Use heat resistant, wooden or silicone
utensils.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Plug in and switch on the hob at the socket.
• The hob will beep once and all the LED lights will illuminate briefly to show the hob is
connected to the power supply and on standby.
• The induction hob heats very rapidly, so place your pan with food onto the middle of
the hotplate first before turning it on. Heating an empty pan can discolour the metal
and warp the base.
• Press the On/Off button, the LED lights above each button will illuminate and blink.
• Select the temperature you require by pressing one of the temperature buttons.
• The LED light above the button will illuminate.
• The hob will make a small sound as the electromagnetic coil is activated and the
magnet ‘grips’ the pan and starts to heat.
• When you switch on the hob for the first time there may be an slight burning smell,
this is normal for a new heating element and will stop after a few uses.
• You can move between temperature settings during cooking, just touch the
temperature button, it will beep and the light above it will illuminate.
• After heating for a few minutes, you will hear the fan start. This is to monitor the
temperature of the hob during cooking and is completely normal.
• To switch off, press the On/off button, it will beep and all the LED lights will go out.
• The fan will continue to run automatically for about one minute to cool the hob. Wait
until the fan has stopped before switching off and unplugging the hob at the socket.

SAFETY FEATURES
• Once the On/Off button has been pressed and the hob is ‘on’ with all the lights
flashing; it will automatically switch off if one of the temperature buttons is not
selected within one minute. The lights will go off and the appliance will go into
standby mode.
• Once the On/Off button has been pressed and the hob is ‘on’ with all the lights
flashing it will automatically switch off if it cannot detect a pan on the hob within one
minute. The lights will go off and the appliance will go into standby mode.
• The hob will automatically switch off if no buttons are pressed after two hours, to
prevent your food from boiling dry. If there is a fault and the hob overheats it will also
automatically switch off.
HINTS AND TIPS
• After cooking with your induction hob a few times, you will see how quick and efficient
it is, and be able to adapt your cooking times accordingly.
• The hob will seem very fast, do not leave the hob unattended and watch your food
to monitor it, so you can alter the temperature if needed. Start with a lower cooking
temperature than you usually would.
• The hob may not look hot, but it can be very warm, so allow it to cool completely after
using it and DO NOT touch the hotplate straight after use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: Why is the induction hob not working?
Answer: Check that the appliance is plugged in and switched on.
Question: Why is the induction hob not heating up?
Answer: Check that the pan you are using is suitable for induction cooking and
the base of it is flat and clean. The pan must be already be placed on the
hotplate with food inside when you select your temperature to start heating.
If one of the temperature buttons is not selected within one minute of the
hob being switched on, it will automatically switch off and go into standby
mode.
Question: Why has the induction hob turned off while cooking?
Answer: The induction hob has overheated, and automatically switched off. Check the
fan vents are not blocked. You can clean them using a soft dry brush.
If you have not pressed any buttons or the appliance has been heating
continuously for more than two hours, the induction hob will auto shut off.
There could be liquid or food on the hotplate surface, causing the appliance
to automatically switch off. Switch off and unplug at the socket, wipe any
spills off the hotplate with a damp cloth, and then a clean dry cloth, before
plugging in and switching on the hob again.
Question: Why the fan still running, even though I have turned the induction hob off?
Answer: The fan inside is continuing to cool the induction hob is down, this is
normal. Take care after the fan has stopped, it may still be hot! Wait for the
fan to stop and the hob to cool completely before moving, cleaning and
storing.
Question: Why is the On/Off button blinking and the fan beeping when I am not
pressing any buttons?
Answer: The fan is overheating. Switch off and unplug at the socket and allow the
hob to cool before switching on again. If the hob is still beeping contact the
Lakeland Customer Services Team.

CARE AND CLEANING
• Unplug the Mini Induction Hob and let it cool completely before cleaning.
• Clean thoroughly before using for the first time and after every use.
• Check the parts for wear or damage after every few uses.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool.
• Never immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
• To clean, wipe the hob clean with a damp cloth, and then a clean dry cloth to dry
thoroughly before storing.
• You may use specialist glass hob cleaner to the hotplate if required, but always try on a
small area first.
• Clean any dust around fan vents with a soft dry brush.
• Store the Mini Induction Hob with the power cable loosely coiled. Never wrap it tightly
around the product.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
This appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS1363 which is suitable for use
in all homes fitted with sockets to current specifications. If the fitted plug is not suitable
for your socket outlets, it should be cut off and carefully disposed of. To avoid an electric
shock, do not insert the discarded plug into a socket.
This product is a class 2 electrical appliance and does not include an earth wire.
FITTING A NEW PLUG
If for any reason you need to fit a new plug, the flexible mains lead must be connected
as shown here. The wires in the mains lead fitted to this appliance are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Connect BLUE to Neutral (N)
Connect BROWN to Live (L)
13 amp fuse to be used
If the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance do not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows. The wire
which is coloured blue MUST be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter
N (Neutral). The wire which is coloured brown MUST be connected to the terminal which
is marked with the letter L (Live).
Before refitting the plug cover, check that there are no cut or stray strands of wire inside
the plug. Use a 13 amp BS1362 fuse. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. If
you are at all unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified electrician.
Note: after replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug which has a fuse cover, the
cover must be refitted to the plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover.
If lost, replacement fuse covers can be obtained from an electrical shop. This appliance
complies with the following EU Directives: 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive) and
2014/30/EU (EMC Directive).

• Stellen Sie das Gerät zum Gebrauch stets auf eine trockene, ebene und hitzebeständige
Fläche.
• Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker bei Nichtgebrauch und vor der Reinigung des Geräts aus der
Steckdose. Um das Gerät auszuschalten, bedienen Sie die Ein/Aus-Taste und ziehen Sie
den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose.
• Verwenden Sie nur die von Lakeland empfohlenen Zubehörteile oder Einsätze.
• Tauchen Sie Netzkabel, Netzstecker oder Gerät nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten
ein. Es besteht Brand-, Stromschlag- und Verletzungsgefahr!
• Lassen Sie das Netzkabel nicht vom Küchentisch oder von der Arbeitsplatte
herunterhängen. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass das Netzkabel nicht mit heißen Oberflächen in
Berührung kommt.

• Dieses Gerät ist nur für die Zubereitung von Lebensmitteln gemäß der Beschreibung in
der mitgelieferten Gebrauchsanweisung vorgesehen.

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Netzkabel aus der Netzsteckdose heraus.

• Schließen Sie das Gerät nicht an eine externe Zeitschaltuhr oder an ein System mit
Fernbedienung an.
• Lassen Sie bei der Verwendung von Verlängerungskabeln Vorsicht walten. Die
elektrischen Nennwerte des Kabels müssen mindestens so hoch wie die des Geräts sein.
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Kabel nicht von der Arbeitsplatte herunterhängt und nicht
mit heißen Flächen in Berührung kommt.
• Dieses Produkt entspricht den Grundanforderungen der EMV-Richtlinie 2014/30/EU
(elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit) und 2014/35/EU (Niederspannungsrichtlinie).

• Das Induktionskochfeld sollte in einem Abstand von mindestens 10 cm von Wänden
und anderen Flächen verwendet werden, damit Luft durch die Lüftungsschlitze
zirkulieren kann. FÜHREN SIE KEINE Gegenstände in die Lüftungsschlitze ein.
• Platzieren Sie keine metallenen oder magnetischen Gegenstände wie Kreditkarten,
Disketten etc., die durch das Magnetfeld des Kochfelds beeinträchtigt werden könnten,
auf dem Gerät.
• Das Induktionskochfeld heizt sehr schnell auf, geben Sie daher zuerst die Lebensmittel
in die Pfanne, bevor Sie das Kochfeld einschalten. Beim Erhitzen einer leeren Pfanne
kann sich das Metall verfärben und der Boden verformen.
• Platzieren Sie Pfannen immer in der Mitte des Kochfelds. Nehmen Sie ausschließlich
Pfannen mit einem Bodendurchmesser von bis zu 15 cm.
• VERWENDEN Sie während des Betriebs KEINEN Hitzeverteiler und platzieren Sie keine
anderen Gegenstände zwischen das Kochfeld und die Pfanne.
• Wenn die gläserne Oberfläche einen Riss aufweist, schalten Sie das Gerät unmittelbar
aus und verwenden Sie es nicht weiter.
• LASSEN Sie das Induktionskochfeld NICHT unbeaufsichtigt, wenn es in Betrieb ist.

HINWEIS: Nach Rücksprache mit ihrem Arzt müssen sich Kunden mit implantierten
Herzschrittmachern oder anderen elektronisch betriebenen medizinischen
Implantaten gegebenenfalls von Induktionskochfeldern und anderen Quellen
magnetischer Felder fernhalten. Wir empfehlen das Mini-Induktionskochfeld von
Lakeland deshalb nicht für einen Verkauf an solche Kunden.

ERSTER GEBRAUCH IHRES
MINI-INDUKTIONSKOCHFELDS
• Packen Sie das Mini-Induktionskochfeld aus und entfernen Sie sämtliche
Verpackungsmaterialien.
• Wischen Sie das Induktionskochfeld vor dem ersten Gebrauch mit einem sauberen,
feuchten Tuch und anschließend mit einem sauberen, trockenen Tuch ab.
• Stellen Sie das Induktionskochfeld auf eine ebene Fläche in der Nähe einer Steckdose,
in einem Abstand von mindestens 10 cm von Wänden und anderen Flächen, damit
Luft durch die Lüftungsschlitze zirkulieren kann. Führen Sie keine Gegenstände in die
Lüftungsschlitze ein.
• Das Mini-Induktionskochfeld kann jetzt verwendet werden.
AUSWAHL EINER GEEIGNETEN PFANNE
Beim Kochen mittels Induktion wird eine elektromagnetische Spule verwendet, die Energie
in Hitze umwandelt. Wenn das Kochfeld eingeschaltet und eine für Induktion geeignete
Pfanne darauf platziert wurde, wird ein magnetisches Feld erzeugt, das die Pfanne und
damit die darin enthaltenen Lebensmittel erhitzt.
Verwenden Sie für dieses Induktionskochfeld ausschließlich Pfannen mit einem planen
Boden, die induktionsgerecht sind und einen Bodendurchmesser von bis zu 15 cm
haben. Wenn Sie sich nicht sicher sind, ob Ihr Kochgeschirr zur Verwendung mit diesem
Kochfeld geeignet ist, können Sie dies überprüfen, indem Sie einen Magneten an die
Unterseite der Pfanne halten. Wenn der Magnet daran haften bleibt, ist es für den
Gebrauch auf dem Kochfeld geeignet. Ist das Kochgeschirr nicht für die Verwendung
geeignet, wird das Gerät dieses nicht erkennen.
Von der Verwendung metallener Kochutensilien wird abgeraten, da sich diese durch das
Induktionsfeld erhitzen können, wenn sie während des Kochens in der Pfanne gelassen
werden. Benutzen Sie hitzebeständige Utensilien aus Holz oder Silikon.

GEBRAUCHSANWEISUNG
• Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Steckdose und schalten Sie das Kochfeld ein.
• Das Induktionskochfeld gibt einen Piepton ab und alle LED-Leuchten gehen kurz an.
Damit wird angezeigt, dass das Induktionskochfeld an die Spannungsversorgung
angeschlossen und bereit ist.
• Das Induktionskochfeld heizt sehr schnell auf. Stellen Sie daher Ihre Pfanne mit den
Lebensmitteln in die Mitte der Kochplatte, bevor Sie das Gerät einschalten. Beim
Erhitzen einer leeren Pfanne kann sich das Metall verfärben und der Boden verformen.
• Drücken Sie die Ein/Aus-Taste. Daraufhin blinken die LED-Leuchten über den einzelnen
Tasten.
• Wählen Sie die gewünschte Temperatur, indem Sie auf eine der Temperaturtasten
drücken.
• Die LED-Leuchte über der Taste leuchtet auf.
• Das Induktionskochfeld gibt einen Hinweiston aus, wenn die elektromagnetische Spule
aktiviert wird, der Magnet die Pfanne „greift“ und mit dem Erhitzen beginnt.
• Wenn Sie das Induktionskochfeld zum ersten Mal einschalten, kann es einen leicht
verbrannten Geruch abgeben. Das ist bei neuen Heizelementen normal und geht nach
einigen Verwendungen weg.
• Sie können die Temperatureinstellung während des Kochens ändern. Drücken Sie
dazu einfach auf die Temperaturtaste. Es gibt einen Piepton aus, und die LED darüber
leuchtet auf.
• Nachdem das Gerät einige Minuten geheizt hat, hören Sie, wie sich die Lüftung
einschaltet. Damit wird die Temperatur des Induktionskochfelds während des Kochens
überwacht. Es ist also völlig normal.
• Drücken Sie zum Ausschalten einfach auf die Ein/Aus-Taste. Das Gerät gibt einen
Piepton aus, und alle LED-Leuchten gehen aus.
• Der Lüfter läuft automatisch noch etwa eine Minute weiter, um das Kochfeld
abzukühlen. Warten Sie, bis der Lüfter aus ist, bevor Sie das Gerät ausschalten und den
Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.

SICHERHEITSFUNKTIONEN
• Nachdem Sie die Ein-/Austaste gedrückt haben, das Induktionskochfeld „an“ ist und
alle Leuchten blinken, schaltet es sich automatisch aus, falls nicht innerhalb einer
Minute eine der Temperaturtasten bedient wird. Die Leuchten gehen aus und das Gerät
wechselt in den Standby-Modus.
• Nachdem Sie die Ein-/Austaste gedrückt haben, das Induktionskochfeld „an“ ist und
alle Leuchten blinken, schaltet es sich automatisch aus, falls es nicht innerhalb einer
Minute eine Pfanne auf dem Induktionskochfeld erkennt. Die Leuchten gehen aus und
das Gerät wechselt in den Standby-Modus.
• Das Induktionskochfeld schaltet sich automatisch aus, wenn nach zwei Stunden
keine Tasten bedient werden, damit Ihre Speisen nicht trocken kochen. Das Gerät
schaltet sich auch automatisch aus, falls ein Fehler vorliegt und das Induktionskochfeld
überhitzt.
TIPPS UND TRICKS
• Nachdem Sie Ihr Induktionskochfeld einige Male benutzt haben, werden Sie sehen,
wie schnell und leistungsstark es ist. Dann können Sie Ihre Kochzeiten entsprechend
anpassen.
• Das Induktionskochfeld wirkt sehr schnell. Lassen Sie das Induktionskochfeld nicht
unbeaufsichtigt und passen Sie auf Ihre Speisen auf, damit Sie gegebenenfalls die
Temperatur ändern können. Beginnen Sie mit einer niedrigeren Kochtemperatur, als
Sie normalerweise wählen würden.
• Das Induktionskochfeld sieht nicht unbedingt heiß aus, kann jedoch sehr warm sein.
Lassen Sie es daher nach dem Gebrauch vollständig abkühlen und berühren Sie die
Kochplatte NICHT unmittelbar nach dem Gebrauch.
