Disposal notes

household refuse. Appliances which are no longer
needed must be disposed of in a professional and
appropriate way, in accordance with the current local regulations

Range of appliance use
The appliance is suitable solely for the refrigeration
of game, meat and/or similar food items.
Use the appliance solely as is customary within a domestic and
commercial environment. All other types of use are inadmissible.
The appliance is not suitable for storing and cooling medicines,
blood plasma, laboratory preparations or similar substances and
productscoveredbythe2007/47/ECMedicalDevicesDirective.
Any misuse of the appliance may result in damage to or spoilage
of stored goods. Furthermore, the appliance is not suitable for
operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.

A drain hose with an R 3/4 connection can be fitted to the un-
derside of the appliance.
The water which collects in the interior during cleaning can be
drained off in this way.

for external loading bar system
(Optional accessory)
1. Open game fridge door
2. Attach external loading bar to chain provided, which must
be previously secured to your ceiling with adequate fixings
for both hanging rail locations. Your ceiling fixings must
supportatleast150kgsofweight.PleasenoteLU4500only
has a single hanging rail.
3. Attach loading bar to chain supplied (which has been
secured to the ceiling).
4. When attaching the external loading bar (see Fig A - left),
makesurethatitlockswithapositive„click“intothe
internal hanging rail.
5.Onceyourgameissecuredtoan„S“hook,itcanbelifted
onto the external loading bar.
6. You can now slide your game onto the internal hanging
rail.
7.Disconnectexternalloadingbarfromrailandchain.

Safety instructions and warnings
• Topreventinjuryordamagetotheunit,theapplianceshould
beunpackedandsetupbytwopeople.
• Intheeventthattheapplianceisdamagedondelivery,contact
the supplier immediately before connecting to the mains.
• Toguaranteesafeoperation,ensurethattheapplianceisset
up and connected as described in these operating instructions.
• Disconnecttheappliancefromthemainsifanyfaultoccurs.
Pullouttheplug,switchofforremovethefuse.
• Whendisconnectingtheappliance,pullontheplug,notonthe
cable.
• Anyrepairsandworkontheapplianceshouldonlybecarried
outbythecustomerservicedepartment,asunauthorisedwork
could prove highly dangerous for the user. The same applies to
changing the mains power cable.
• Do not allow naked flames or ignition sources to enter the
appliance. When transporting and cleaning the appliance,
ensure that the refrigerant circuit is not damaged. In the event
ofdamage,makesurethattherearenoignitionsourcesnearby
andkeeptheroomwellventilated.
• Donotstandontheplinth,drawersordoorsorusethemto
support anything else.
Noise emissions from the appliance
The noise level while the appliance is operating is below 70 dB(A)
(relative noise level 1 pW).
• Thisapplianceisnot intended forusebypersons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
orlackofexperienceandknowledgeunlesstheyhavebeen
given initial supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Avoid prolonged skin contact with cold surfaces or chilled/
frozen food. This could cause pain, numbness and frostbite. In
thecaseofprolongedskincontact,protectivemeasuresshould
betaken,e.g.glovesshouldbeworn.
• Donotconsumefoodwhichhasbeenstoredfortoolong,as
it could cause food poisoning.
• Do not store explosives or sprays using combustible
propellants such as butane, propane, pentane, etc. in the
appliance.Electricalcomponentsmightcauseleakinggasto
ignite. You may identify such sprays by the printed contents or
a flame symbol.
• Donotuseelectricalappliancesinsidetheappliance.

PresstheOn/Off button until the temperature display
lights up.

Setting up
• Donotplacetheapplianceindirectsunlightornearcookers,
radiators and similar sources of heat.
• Theflooronwhichtheappliancestandsshouldbehorizontal
and level. Compensate for uneven floors
with the adjustable feet.

volume of 1 m3per 8 g of R 600a refrigerant
used in the appliance, so as to avoid the
formation of inflammable gas/air mixtures
in the room where the appliance is located in the event of a

in your appliance is indicated on the type plate on the inside of
the appliance.

Recommended temperatures for hanging game:
Deer(allspecies):+4to-1ºC

Information for short and long hanging periods:
For short hanging periods (fan symbol is illuminated). The
circulation fan runs constantly even when the cooling
compressor is not in operation. This ensures fast and even
distribution of cold air.
Forlonghangingperiods(thefansymbolisswitchedo).
The fan only runs when the cooling compressor is activated.
In this mode the fridge produces a lower relative humidity.
Tip:
Prolongstorageatatemperatureof-1ºCisrecommended
(gamewillnotstarttofreezeuntil-2ºC)
Cooling with fan
With the fan function switched on, a uniform temperature
distribution will be attained in the refrigerator compartment.
This is recommended:
- inhighroomtemperatures(approx.30°Corhigher),
- if the air humidity is high.

on, the fridge fan will not come

Shutting your appliance down
If your appliance is to be shut down for any length of time, switch
it off and disconnect the plug or switch off or unscrew the fuse.
Cleantheapplianceandleavethedooropeninordertoprevent
unpleasant smells.
The appliance complies with the relevant safety regulations and
ECDirectives2004/108/ECand2006/95/EC.
Malfunctions
You may be able to rectify the following faults by checking
the possible causes yourself.
• Appliancedoesnotfunction:
– Is the appliance switched on?
–Istheplugcorrectlyfittedinthemainssocket?
– Is the fuse intact?
• Loudrunningnoise:
– Is the appliance set up firmly on the floor?
–Doestheappliancecausenearbyitemsoffurnitureorobjects
tovibrate?Pleasenotethatnoisescausedbytherefrigerant
circuit cannot be avoided.
• Thetemperatureisnotlowenough:
– Is the temperature setting correct?
(see“Settingthetemperature”)
–Doestheseparatelyinstalledthermometershowthecorrect
reading?
–Istheventilationsystemworkingproperly?
– Is the appliance set up too close to a heat source?
If none of the above causes apply
and you cannot rectify the fault
yourself, contact the nearest
customer service department
stating the type designation ,
service number and appliance
number as indicated on the
type plate.
The position of the type plate is
shown in the section entitled Description of the appliance.
Cooling
The shelving can also be offset in
height.
The ventilation slots on the inside
must not be covered!

Door open alarm
If the door is left open for more than 180 seconds, the
audible warning signal will sound.
If the door must be opened for a lengthy period to place items
into the appliance, cancel the audible warning signal by pressing
the Alarm button.
Thealarmswitchesbacktostandbywhenthedoorisshut.
Temperature alarm
If the temperatures in the interior are out of the permitted range,
the audible warning signal will sound and the temperature display
will flash.
After a lengthy power failure, the temperature in the interior may
have risen to too high a level. After the power supply returns, the
fall in temperature can be watched on the display.
• CanceltheaudiblewarningsignalbypressingtheAlarm button.
The temperature display will stop flashing as soon as the tem-
perature in the interior has reached the set value.
Temperature alarm after a fault in the appliance
If the appliance develops a fault, the temperature in the interior
may rise too high or fall too low. The audible warning signal will
sound and the temperature display will flash.

the door is closed correctly.
If the temperature display continues to show a value that is too
high or too low after one hour, contact the customer service
department.
• CanceltheaudiblewarningsignalbypressingtheAlarm button.
If F1 appears in the display, the appliance has suffered a fault. In
this case, contact the customer service department.

Do not use steam cleaners because
of the risk of injury and damage.
• Ensure that no cleaning water penetrates into the electrical
components or ventilation grill.
• Dryallpartswellwithacloth.
• Thedustshouldberemovedfromtherefrigerationunitandheat
exchanger-metalgridatthebackoftheappliance-oncea
year.
• Donotdamageorremovethetypeplateontheinsideofthe
appliance. It is very important for servicing purposes.
• Useacommerciallyavailablestainless-steelcleaningagentfor
stainless-steel appliances.
Do not use abrasive sponges or scourers, do not use con-
centrated cleaning agents and never use cleaning agents
containing sand, chloride or acid or chemical solvents, as
this will damage the surfaces and could cause corrosion.
Cleaning
Tip 1: Stainless steel drip tray
Madefromstainlessstell,willcatchanydrippingbloodordirt.
Easy to remove and clean.
Tip 2: Landig cleaning concentrate
A special cleaning concentrate (500 ml spray bottle ) good for
disinfecting and removing stuborn stains.
Before cleaning always switch off the appliance. Pull out the
mains plug or remove/unscrew the fuse.
• Cleantheinside,equipmentpartsandouterwallswithluke-
warmwaterandalittledetergent.Donotuseabrasiveoracid
cleaners or chemical solvents.
