This multi-function Jump Starter is an efficient but extremely compact
emergency engine starting power pack and mobile power bank. It also
features a bright LED to illuminate the work area (flashing mode can be used
as an emergency beacon), two USB outputs (for charging mobile phones,
etc), a Type-C input/output port and a digital voltage display on the cable
clamp adaptor. The unit and accessories are supplied in a convenient and
protective case.

Note:
On first purchase of the Jump Starter, the unit must be charged until
the power/charging LED display (3) shows four indicator lights ON.
Then it must be charged every eight to twelve weeks to avoid damage
to the battery. The unit must also be charged after a vehicle start
or when the power/charging LED display is showing less than four
indicator lights.
Charging the Jump Starter:
When new, charge the Jump Starter immediately for a minimum of three
to four hours until the power/charging LED display (3) shows four indicator
lights ON.
Refer to Figures 1 and 2above. Using the supplied multi-function lead, plug
a Type C connector into the Jump Starter input/output port (7); then plug
the USB connector into a suitable USB port on a PC or USB mains adaptor
(not supplied). As it charges, the power/charging LED display (3) will cycle
through the four LEDs. Once fully charged, the LED display shows four
indicator lights ON.

LED Flashlight:
• Refer to Figure 1: turn on / off switch (1) to ON.
• Press LED flashlight power button (2) and hold for 3 seconds: LED torch
illuminates and stays on.
• Press button again: LED flashes SOS.
• Press button again: LED flashes quickly (approximately 4 flashes per
second).
• Press button again: LED stays on.
• Press button again and hold for 3 seconds: switches LED off.
USB ports:
Refer to Figures 1 and 3: the Jump Starter is equipped with two USB ports
that are suitable for charging and powering mobile phones, tablets, etc.
Output 1 (6) is a USB 3.0 rated port (3.6V – 12V; 1.5A – 3A). Output 2 (5) is
a standard USB port (5V 2.1A). These are used with the multi-function lead
which includes the following device connectors: USB, 2 x Type C and a
micro-USB.
Port 7is a Type C input/output port which is used when charging the device
but can also output (5V / 3A).

Vehicle Starting Procedure:
Note:
Always refer to the vehicle manufacturer’s documentation (handbook
or workshop manual) for their recommended jump start instructions.
1. Switch all of the vehicle’s electrical devices OFF.
2. Wear eye protection.
3. Refer to Figures 3 and 4. Peel back the cover to the jump start port (4)
and connect the cable clamp adaptor (connect firmly).
4. Turn on / off switch (1) to ON
5. LED screen will show clockwise rotational display (step 3in Figure 4) —
device is ready.

6. Connect the supplied red cable clamp to the (+) positive terminal of
the vehicle’s battery first. Then connect the black cable clamp to the
(-) negative terminal of the vehicle’s battery. Screen will now display
available voltage.
7. Start the vehicle. Limit your starting attempts to a maximum of 4-5
seconds at a time.
8. After starting the engine, remove the cable clamp adaptor from the
device, then the (-) black cable clamp first and then the (+) red cable
clamp from the vehicle’s battery terminals.
Note:
• Allow the Jump Starter to cool down for approximately three minutes after
unsuccessful start attempts. If you cannot start the vehicle after three
attempts, please stop the starting procedure.
• When prepared for jump-starting, and the clamps are connected to the
vehicle battery, the device tests loading and the LCD screen displays
available voltage. Loading is tested every 5 seconds (available voltage
displayed may change). After 20 seconds, load testing and start function
is cut off. If you have not attempted to start the vehicle within this 20
seconds, then disconnect and reconnect the cable clamp adaptor. Load
testing will recommence.

Precautions
• Danger of sparking: (explosion risk) if vehicle battery has recently been
charged, ensure area is well ventilated and ensure eye protection is worn
before connecting up the Jump Starter.
• Danger of sparking: do not connect up the Jump Starter if there are any
fuel leaks or fuel vapour present.
• The Jump Starter is only suitable for 12 Volt vehicles.
• Only use the originally supplied multi-function lead to charge your Jump
Starter.
• Protect the Jump Starter from prolonged exposure to humid or damp
conditions. Do not let the Jump Starter become wet.
• Ideal storing temperature: +1˚C to +25˚C.
• Always take extreme care when connecting the Jump Starter. Always
connect red cable clamp to the positive terminal of the battery first.
When disconnecting, always remove the black cable clamp from the
negative battery terminal of the battery first.
• Do NOT touch the positive red cable clamp and the negative black
cable clamp together if connected to the Jump Starter.
• Reverse Polarity: Do NOT connect the positive red cable clamp to
the vehicle battery negative terminal and do NOT connect the negative
black cable clamp to the vehicle battery positive terminal.
• Please keep away from children at all times.
• Contact your local government for disposal or recycling practices in your
area when the time comes to dispose of the Jump Starter.

Error Messages
Under certain conditions, error messages may be displayed on the cable
clamp adaptor LCD screen:
LOW VOLTAGE: When cable clamp adaptor is
plugged into device — charge device.
HIGH VOLTAGE: When cable clamp adaptor is
plugged into device, flashing 888.
REVERSE CHARGING: When device is connected
up to car battery (current drain).

Error Messages
REVERSE POLARITY: When battery clamps
are connected the wrong way round, e.g., red
(positive) clamp connected to (negative) battery
terminal.
OVERHEAT: Device may overheat after repeated
start attempts.
SHORT CIRCUIT: When cable clamp adaptor is
plugged into device, indicates internal fault.
