Congratulations!
You have just acquired the model submarine "Galathée", it is a crewed exploration submersible. We hope that this model will give ou as
much pleasure to build than to sail.
Design features:
Length: 540 mm
Width: 118 mm Height: 157 mm
Weight: 4 kg
Materials: PVC and PS
Autonom : Approximatel 2 hours
Operating mode of the Galathée submarine:
The Galathée submarine is a static diving model. To dive a gear pump fill a ballast tank inside the dr hull. The air in the ballast tank is
compressed b the water.
ools necessary:
Side Cutter
Mini Drill (Dremel or similar)
Set of files of various sections (round, punts and square)
Sanding paper grain 240, 400, 600
Soldering iron (min 25 watt)
Set of Screwdriver
Set of grips
Products necessary:
CA glue
Silicone sealant
Mastic pol ester
Paint ( ellow or other)
Recommendation concerning the radio order:
4 Channel R/C s stems
3 servos (standard size, ball bearings is preferable)
1 electronic speed controller 10 Amps (minimum)
his model is not appropriate to the children of less than 14 years!
Before beginning the assembl of our model, checks all parts, read the instruction carefull beforehand.
Remove each parts from the plastic sheets onl when ou use it for the assembl of the model (the best wa is to mark the corresponding part
number on it).
Caution: For reasons of safety the battery of the submarine need to be charged only when the dry hull is open.
Paint
You can choose the colour of the model.
The most important issue is to prepare the hull properl for painting (use mastic pol ester to mask the enclosures).
The surface of the hull must be sanded.

You can now test your submarine for any leaks.
Start b connecting our radio after having checked that all the trims are with the neutral.
Check the direction of rotation of the propeller (Attention! not to destro the shaft sealing, limit to the minimum the starting of the engine when
the submarine is out of water)
Mount the tight tube, fasten the cap nuts after having inserted a steel washer, do not over tighten the nuts!
Now the submarine can be put into water for test.
Hollow the two holes of A1 so that there does not remain an more
matter at the interior.
Cut a piece of plastic strip (use the strip of 10x2mm on the kit) and
glue it with CA glue around the tube in the alignment of D3, proceed
in the same wa to the back of the tube.

Glue A1 on D3 (put the glue onl on the interior of A1 see picture).
Cut in the lead sheet a strip of 90mm and 4 strips of 30mm.
Cut the lead strips in the middle. But don’t cut one strip of 30mm.
B helping ou with the internal structure draw a line on each side of
the G1 tube (see picture).
Glue two pieces of plastic strip (use the strip of 10x2mm on the kit)
in the medium of the line b leaving spaces for evacuation of air,
proceed in the same wa on the other side.
Adjust and glue to 25mm of the two ends of the tube, two half lengths
of lead on each side. You need to curve the lead strip.
