10) READY (power) switch
INPUT JACK provides input to the M-2000 amplifier.
VOLUME adjusts the signal strength coming out of the tonestack, and going into the second
tube stage.
TREBLE adjusts the high frequency response for both clean and overdrive modes. At near-
maximum settings, you may also notice an increase in gain.
MIDRANGE adjusts the mid frequency response for both clean and overdrive modes.
BASS adjusts low frequencies in your amplifier for both clean and overdrive modes.
MASTER (POWER AMP) sets the master volume of that channel
PRESENCE (POWER AMP) adjusts the high frequency response of the power amplifier
using negative feedback. Use this control to add sparkle and clarity to your tone.
POWER This control sets the overal volume for both channels of the M-2000.
It allows you to dial down the power amp section while retaining the power amp sound.
GO (OPERATE / STANDBY) two-way toggle switch applies high voltage to the vacuum
tube anodes (and screen grids) during use of the amp. To ensure long tube life, first power
the unit on with the toggle switch in STANDBY position for approximately 30 seconds. Then
switch to OPERATE to use the amp. With the toggle switch in the UP position, the amplifier
is in OPERATE mode. In the DOWN position, the amp is in STANDBY mode.
READY (MAINS) two-way toggle switch powers the amp on and off. With the toggle switch
in the UP position, the amp is ON. In the DOWN position, the amp is OFF.

11) FOOT PEDAL 1/4" female jack
MAINS IEC cable inlet – plug a suitable IEC power cable into this inlet to power your
amplifier.
Mains Fuse 5 AMP / 3 AMP (P-51) 3 AMP / 2 AMP (P-38) slow-blow fuse – used to
protect your amplifier from voltage spikes or excessive current draw. Replace only when
necessary. 5A is used for amplifiers used with a 100 - 120VAC country supply, and 3A is
used with 220 - 240VAC.
B+ Fuse 1 AMP the B+ fuse, which protects the circuitry from excessive current draw, Use
1A Slow-Blow only.
SPEAKER OUTPUT .” speaker cable jacks. Use a .” speaker cable to connect your speaker
cabinet to the amplifier using these jacks. If you use one speaker cabinet, use the jack
labeled MAIN. If you want to run two cabinets in parallel, connect the second cabinet to the
amplifier using the jack labeled EXTENSION.
NOTE – NEVER turn your amplifier to OPERATE mode without connecting the amplifier to
a speaker cabinet or suitable dummy load! Failing to do so may damage your amplifier!
NOTE – if you are using two speaker cabinets in parallel (ex – two 16 Ohm cabinets - 8
ohms) (ex – two 8 Ohm cabinets - 4 ohms)
IMPEDANCE SELECTOR sets speaker impedance from 4 ohms - 8 ohms - 16 ohms
EFFECTS LOOP SEND .” instrument jack can be used to directly interface the preamp of
the amp, thereby bypassing the power amplifier and using the amp as a preamp.
Conversely, this is usually used as the SEND of the effects loop. Plug the input of your
effects unit, or interface device into this jack using .” instrument cable. The effects loop
Send in this amplifier is active and tube driven with a level control.

EFFECTS LOOP RETURN .” instrument jack can be used to directly interface the power
amp, thereby bypassing the preamp and using the amplifier as a power amplifier.
Conversely, this is usually used as the RETURN of the effects loop. Plug the output of your
effects unit, or interface device into this jack using .” instrument cable. The effects loop
Return in this amplifier is active and tube driven with a level control.
By using the Send and Return Levek controls you can balance the correct level for your
effects unit, or interface device.
EFFECTS LOOP SEND/RETURN VOLUME CONTROLS with these controls you can set
the SEND level and the RETURN level. This allows you to match levels from the smallest
floor effect to a large studio rack effect. These controls come after the MASTER volume on
the front of the amp. As you turn up the MASTER control on the front, it effects the levels of
the effects loop. A good rule of thumb is to get the sound and volume level you want to play
at, then ENGAGE the effects loop and set levels. First set the SEND level to not distort your
effect, if your effect has a level indicator use that, if not you will have to use your ears and
make sure you are not distorting your effect with to much signal. Then using the ENGAGE
button set the RETURN volume so there is no level change when the button is in or out.
ENGAGE This turns the Effects Loop on and off, the switch will go from black (off) to orange
(on)
FOOT PEDAL ENGAGE This switch changes the amplifier from channel one to channel
two, which is either the front row of knobs or back row of knobs on the front of the amp.
FOOT PEDAL JACK You can use the provided foot switch, or a standard 1/4" plug
connected to a foot switch with a latching switch.
FOOT PEDAL The provided foot switch pedal has an indicator light which can be powered
by a 9v internal battery (not included), or by the 2.1mm jack on the back of the pedal.
This jack can be powered by any standard pedal power supply with a center tip ground.
If you power it by the internal battery make sure you switch the light off when not in use or it
will drain the battery.
