LH01799:01/01
1.Decide on your preference of height placement of Spring
P. You have three position choices, highest, middle and
lowest holes in Spring Pas shown. After you select your
height, attach one end of the long end of Scissor Arm
Assembly to Spring Pby first inserting an Allenhead Bolt
Hthrough selected position hole in Spring Pthen through
one end of Scissor Arm Assembly, add a Nut Zexactly as
shown. Repeat this procedure until one end of each of the
(4) Scissor Arm Assemblies is attached to Spring Pat the
same height position. Tighten all (4) Allenhead Bolts H while
holding Nuts Zwith a 10mm or adjustable wrench. Tighten
each assembly securely
.
2.Carefully lift Spring Pinto the crib. Spring Pwill attach
to the outside holes in the two installed Stretchers Y. Insert
an Allenhead Bolt Hfirst through the remaining long end of
the Scissor Arm Assembly into the threaded insert as
shown and follow the procedure exactly. Repeat the
procedure with the remaining (3) long ends of the Scissor
Arm Assemblies to Stretcher Y. Tighten each assembly
securely.
3.Whenever you decide on another height position first
remove the crib mattress. Remove Spring Pby detaching
the spring from the Stretchers Yby loosening and removing
the (4) Allenhead Bolts Hinstalled in 2.above using Allen
Wrench A. Carefully lift the spring from the crib. Make your
selected height position change by following 1. of this Step.
Then follow 2.to reinstall Spring P, again tighten all
Allenhead Bolts Hsecurely as directed.
Read this entire step before starting the procedure
to select a spring height position and to attach
Spring P to Stretchers Y.

.
The Stretcher Ywill now be loose.
Install Dropside Oby following substeps Ithrough IV
listed below. Refer to Diagram.
(It would be helpful to
have a friend assist you with this procedure.)
Note: the
outside location of Dropside Oas shown in Dia-
gram.
I.
Note: During the Dropside
O
installation procedure
use extreme caution when Top Tracks and Lower Tracks
make contact with Upper Guide Bushings
C
and Lower
Guide Pins
D
so as not to damage the finish of this crib.
II. Insert the Upper Guide Bushings C
(mounted to
Footboard
M
and Headboard
L
in STEP 1)
into the
Upper Tracks
(metal)
which were factory mounted to
Dropside.Hold the Dropside Oat approximately 30
degrees from vertical as shown.
III. Once both ends are engaged, then carefully allow
Dropside Oto slide downward. Then rotate the bottom
end of the Dropside Ountil it is nearly vertical.
(Note:
Rotation will be stopped when the dropside
O
touches
the Lower Guide pins
D
.
Carefully let the Dropside O
slide down until it is as low as it can go.
IV. READ THIS STEP COMPLETELY BEFORE PROCEEDING. Next, lift
Dropside OO
OO
Oapproximately two inches (2") vertically. This will put Dropside O
in the proper vertical alignment with the Lower Guide Pin Dwhich will be
inserted into the Lower Tracks
(Right & Left).
Flex the bottom end of the corner post on the Dropside side of Footboard M
away from the Dropside O. The purpose of this process is to create a gap
for the Lower Guide Pins Dto pass through so that the Lower Guide Pins
can be inserted into the long groove of the plastic Lower Tracks. As you
prepare to accomplish this please note the following:
If the Stretcher Assembly Ywas not loosened enough
(as described in
PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION OF DROPSIDE in the beginning of
this step)
there will not be enough slack to create the necessary gap required
for the Lower Guide Pin Dto pass through. Prematurely forcing the pin
through a gap with inadequate clearance could damage the finish on the
Dropside O. If your crib has too small of a gap, then lower Dropside Oto its
lowest position and check to verify that preparation at beginning of Step 4
was performed correctly.
If it was performed correctly, but the gap is still too small, it may be because
the Stretcher Yassembly needs to be pulled away from the bottom rails of
the Footboard Mor Headboard L. Check to verify that the Stretchers Y
have been pulled away from the bottom rails.
After the Lower Guide Pin Dhas been installed into the long groove on
Footboard M, then repeat this process on Headboard L. After both Lower
Guide Pins Dare installed, very carefully and slowly raise the DropsideO
up until it locks into its raised position. Be very careful to watch to ensure that
the Lower Guide Pins Dlocated in the grooves do not slip out during the
process of raising Dropside O.
STEP 4-DIAGRAM 4: INSTALLATION OF DROPSIDE.

Locate the (4) Casters X, insert one into socket in each
lower corner post of Headboard Land Footboard M.
Caster Xdesign may vary according to your particular
model. CAUTION: If crib is placed on exceptionally thick
carpet, take care when crib is rolled as casters could
catch on thick carpet pile and possibly cause breakage
to lower corner posts of crib.
Place a purchased mattress on Spring Pand crib is
ready for use.
Check periodically to be sure screws and bolts
(fastening devices) remain tightened as instructed
in each step of these assembly instructions.
After completing crib assembly, and after making yourself
aware of the Warnings, Cautions, Cleaning, Storage,
Use and Maintenance of crib, store the assembly
directions in the plastic pouch which was pre-attached to
Spring P. For future referral to assembly directions you
will only need to remove them from the plastic pouch. We
caution you not to store excess hardware in plastic pouch
