Checking the parts
Unpack your library stand, and set all of the parts on a soft surface to avoid
scratching. You should have all of the parts listed below, as well as the
hardware listed.
Our Harlequin Library Stand brings stature to
reading, with a display space fitting for a large
art book or dictionary, especially with the deep
lip to hold it. The bright-field magnifier nestled
in the leather-lined well has a 3x acrylic lens
that draws light to its surface for even sharper
magnification. A sliding tray offers a handy
spot for writing notes and slides to either the
right or left side. The stand also works as a
lectern. When fully assembled, it measures
21W x 20D x 411⁄2H.

DARKENING OF YOUR WOOD
Your wood will darken with exposure to
light. This is a natural process and
enhances the beauty of the wood; you
should, however, be mindful of uneven
darkening. We recommend you not
permanently rest objects on exposed
surfaces during the first two weeks.
During this period, an object left in the
same place for even a few days will show
a lighter color beneath. After the break-in
period you can leave objects in place
since color development will be complete.
CARE OF LEVENGER WOOD PRODUCTS
When dusting your wood, use a clean, soft
cloth by itself or with a spray polish,
following the grain pattern.
EFFECTS OF CLIMATE
Wood products respond to changes in
humidity. In dry seasons, the wood will shrink
a bit, while it will expand again in more
humid weather. Fine furniture and wood
products are built to allow for these natural
changes. To minimize the effects of climate,
keep your wood products out of direct
sunlight and drafts from air or heating vents.
SPECIAL NOTE ON YOUR
WOOD PRODUCTS
Attaching the top
Stand the unit upright. Insert 4 dowels into the top (A). Place 4 cam lock
screws into the plastic inserts. Remove the magnifier panel (H) by undoing
the 2 bolts. This will allow access to the underside of the top. Then fasten
the top using 4 cam lock nuts, attaching them from the underside. Replace
the magnifier panel (H), using the 2 bolts to secure it.
3Inserting the sliding tray
Slide in the tray (E), then secure
with a dowel from underneath.
