Cause
If Simple Link is turned on, your Home Theater will be turned on and off at the same time as
your TV,
Fix
Turn off Simple Link from TV.

Cause
You can only play with a resolution of 720x576 and below.
If it is higher than that, it may stop or not play at all.
How to fix
1) Video/music must be purchased through a legitimate route.
2) AVI,DVIX,MPG,MPEG are the playable DivX files.
3) DVIX3.xx, DIVX4.xx, DIVX5.xx, DIVX6.xx are the playable codecs.(DIVX6 format is only
for playing.)
4) Dolby Digital, DTS, MP3 are the playable audio formats.
5) Having met all the requirements above, it may or may not play depending on the type
or recording method.
6) The resolution of video must be 720x576 and below.

'LOCK, SAFE' appears on the display window
Cause
The lock system is activated - please see below for a guide to the locking system.
Explanation
(please note, lock system may vary by model)

Symptom
Too much heat is generated from the product.
How to fix
If you put a cover or other thing on the product, air can’t circulate. Please provide a space so
that it can release heat.

Symptom
After connecting sound bar and TV, the sound bar doesn’t sound.
Different setting methods are taken depending on the model.
How to fix
If the TV sound doesn’t come out of the sound bar, try to set as below.
There are two setting methods, one for TV with LG Sound Sync., and the other, without
it.
1. With LG Sound Sync.
1) To connect through OPTICAL cable when there is LG Sound Sync.
2) Try to reconnect the optical cable between TV and Sound Bar.
3) Press “Select Function” button on the Sound Bar remote control and set the Input
Mode as “OPTICAL”.
4) After that, use the TV remote control and do as follows.
MENU → SOUND → select Sound Out Speaker → LG Sound Sync. (Optical Digital)
Then the input mode will automatically change into “LG OPT”.
5) Press the volume button and check if the sound comes out.
6) If there is sound, then it is ok.
2. Without LG Sound Sync.
1) To connect through OPTICAL cable when there is no LG Sound Sync.
2) Try to reconnect the optical cable between TV and Sound Bar.
3) Press “Select Function” button on the Sound Bar remote control and set the Input
Mode as “OPTICAL”
Then the sound will come out of both TV and the sound bar.

1) Press “Select Function”of remote control or “F”button of the unit and select
Bluetooth.
“BT READY”will appear on the display window.
2) Pair it with mobile phone

①Click SETTINGS.
②Turn “ON”the bluetooth.
③If you click bluetooth once more, it will activate the searched device.
④Select "LG SOUND BAR “and pair them.
2) If the sound bar and the bluetooth device are paired,
①it will shows “PAIRED”on the sound bar display window.
②Start the music application.
3) Check if the music sounds through the sound bar directly.

1) If the buttons on the sound bar doesn’t function or if it doesn’t produce sound, you
may initialise the sound bar.
(The way of initialising the sound bar may differ by model.)
2) To initialise, please turn on the sound bar.
3) Press “-” or “STOP” button of the unit and “0” button of the remote control at the
same time and hold them for more than 5 secs.
4) "E2P CLR" will appear on the display window and it will be turned off automatically.
5) Turn on the power again. If it works properly, then it means it is initialised correctly.

What to check
If the buttons on the product doesn’t work, check the Lock System.
How to fix
Lock System
You can lock certain unsuitable channels to prevent children from accessing them, or set a TV
Rating, so that any
digital TV program classified above that rating by the broadcaster will be restricted. If the [Lock
System] is set to
[OFF], TV Rating options are not effective.
The Lock System option is effective for TV Rating and Downloadable Rating options.
1.Select [Lock System] option then press ▶
2. To access the Lock Menu options, you must input the 4-digit password you created.
If you have not yet entered a password you are prompted to do so. Input a 4-digit password.
Enter it again to verify. If you make a mistake, press CLEAR.
3. Select [ON] or [OFF] using the ▼ / ▲ buttons.
4. Press ENTER (◎) to confirm your setting.
