Installation:
The unit installs in a ½” NPT connection in the piping system.
The ¾” NPT access(upper-right of picture) is for
electrical conduit.
The unit requires only a 2-wire front-panel connection.
It will then conduct 4-20 mA according to the measured temperature.
Shielded 4-20 mA interconnect wire is recommended.
Ground the shield on only one end to prevent
ground loop noise.
The circuit board may be rotated to 4 positions to allow convenient
reading of the LCD with the TSC-1000 mounted sideways
or facing up.
Operation:
When power is first applied to the TSC-1000, the LCD will…
display the Low(4 mA) temperature for a few seconds,
then display the Hi(20 mA) temperature for a few seconds,
then proceed to Operational Mode and display the temperature.
There is a Mode pushbutton just above the LCD to adjust your equipment.
Pressing the Mode button one time will force the output to 4mA and the LCD will
display ‘F 4mA’. Pressing the button again will step up to 12mA. Then on to
20 mA, and 22mA(error value). Pressing the button again will
return the TSC-1000 to Operational Mode. If the output is forced to
either 4,12, 20, or 22 mA and no button is pushed for approximately 3 minutes
the unit will automatically return to Operational Mode.
If the TSC-1000 is in Operational Mode and within range the LCD will display the Temperature
and scale. Example: 78.3F
The two leads of the temperature sensor are connected to a terminal connector on the back of the
board.
If the sensor inputs become shorted the LCD will blink ‘Short’ and the current will be 22mA.
If one or both of the sensor leads become disconnected the LCD will blink ‘OPEn’ and the current
will be 22mA.
If the measured temperature goes outside the temperature range(4-20mA range), the
LINCO MEASUREMENT TSC-1000 will blink the correct temperature but the output current will be
22 mA to indicate an error.
