2 InstallatIon GuIdelInes
The following guidelines are intended for the installation of Livezi Bravo air conditioning
units used on domestic and commercial installations. Only suitably qualied trade personnel
should carry out installations of Split or Package Air Conditioning systems. Full compliance
with the local codes and regulations, which govern the installation of the equipment, is the
responsibility of the installer.
Before installation, the electrical power should be checked to determine if adequate power is
available with correct voltage to the site. The position of the equipment, after a survey of the
building and the duct layout, should meet the following criteria.
2.1 Outdoor Unit
• The outdoor unit should be placed in a position to satisfy the requirements of local
councils, building code, covenants etc.
• The unit must be installed on a rm level foundation, capable of supporting the unit’s
weight without movement.
• Provide sufcient clearance to ensure unrestricted circulation of condenser air, both air on
and air off must have free passage.
• A position of maximum shade from the afternoon sun is recommended, i.e. southern or
eastern aspect of the building.
• Provide the proper drainage of the condensate if necessary.
• Ensure position of the unit will not cause distress to occupants of the building or occupants
of neighbouring buildings i.e. do not place units near bedroom windows.

Notes
• All units split into two parts.
• Supply and Return air sizes are designed for Airtite series plenums.
• Field or installation wiring must be connected as per the connection diagram to ensure the unit performs as it is
designed.
• Installer / electrician is to ensure that when an external overload device is tted, it be calibrated or set to the maximum
amp draw on the rating plate of the motor it is controlling.
2.2 Indoor Unit
• The indoor unit should be slung or mounted on anti-vibration devices, in a location capable
of supporting the weight of the unit.
• Provide sufcient clearance from the top and sides of the unit to enable servicing of the fan
motor, coil, etc.
• All drain pipes are to be lower than the unit base and to have at least a 50 mm “P” trap or
similar trap tted.
