Getting Started
The Livongo cellular scale comes ready to use right out of the box.
Your rst-time setup should take only a few minutes.
OPEN THE LIVONGO APP
The app displays all of your weight data
and trends so you can learn how lifestyle
changes affect your weight. You can
download it now from the App Store
or Google Play.
INSERT 4 AA BATTERIES (INCLUDED)
INTO THE SCALE
The battery compartment is located on
the back of the scale.
PLACE THE SCALE ON A
HARD SURFACE
For the most accurate results, put the scale
on a hard oor (no carpet).
TAKE YOUR FIRST WEIGHT MEASUREMENT
Step on the scale with both feet. When you see
your weight on the display, step off. A dotted
line will ash. When it stops, your data has been
successfully sent to the Livongo app.
VIEW YOUR DATA IN THE LIVONGO APP
Check out all your weight data and trends in
the Livongo app.

Step on the scale
with clean, bare feet.

Maintenance
DO use a dry soft cloth to wipe the dust off of this device.
DO use a wet soft cloth, dipped into water and wrung out, to wipe the dirt off of this device. Then
use a dry soft cloth to dry up the device.
DON’T wash the device with water or immerse it in water.
DON’T use propellant, abrasive, or other chemicals to wipe the dirt off. This can cause the device
to discolor or malfunction.
DON’T disassemble or attempt to service this device. If you have any problems with this device,
please contact Livongo Member Support.
DON’T dispose of batteries in re. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the batteries if the
device will not be used for a long period of time.
DON’T perform maintenance while device is in use.

Scale Display Codes
In the event of an error while taking a weight measurement, an error
message will appear on the scale display.

1. Check that the batteries are all brand new and not expired.
2. Ensure that the battery compartment is clean and the battery
contact terminals have no foreign material.

The Livongo scale’s maximum capacity is 440 Ib (200 kg).
1. Take another measurement at the EXACT SAME location.

closer to a window.

Safety Warnings
Follow these safety instructions when using the scale.
Do not use this scale to diagnose
or treat any medical condition.
Do not use the scale if there are
cracks in the glass.
Do not put anything else on the
scale if not in use. This will consume
power and reduce the battery life.
Do not expose the scale to
extremely high or low temperatures.
Do not step on the scale if it is wet
or slippery. Keep the scale clean
and dry (avoid excessive humidity).
This device product is mainly
designed for household use. It is
intended to measure and display
the weight from 110 lb to 440 lb (50
kg to 200 kg) and provide all data
for clinical diagnostic purposes
or reference. All data is wirelessly
uploaded to your Livongo account
by cellular connection to make your
data management more convenient.

weight. This device is suitable for people who can
read and understand this user guide.
ȯThe device should not be used to diagnose or treat

this device is not meant to treat, cure, or prevent any
disease or illness from happening. If in doubt,
contact your doctor.
ȯThis device is contraindicated for any female user
who may be pregnant.
ȯThis device is contraindicated for any person
who is connected to a wearable or implantable
electronic device or instrument such as a
pacemaker or debrillator.
ȯThe scale is equipped with a data transmission
function. It may emit electromagnetic energy so as to
perform its intended function. Nearby portable and
mobile RF communications equipment can affect the
performance of the scale. And the scale can interfere
with electrical equipment in its vicinity.
ȯManufacturer will make available on request circuit
diagrams, component parts list, etc.
ȯWARNING: No modications of this equipment are

ȯThe patient is an intended operator. The patient can
measure, transmit data, and change batteries under
normal circumstances and maintain the device and its
accessories according to the user manual.
ȯThe scale requires 30 minutes to warm from the minimum
and cool from maximum storage temperature between
uses until it is ready for measurement.
ȯAfter drop or shock that may cause changes in the
performance, please contact Livongo Member Support.
Don’t open or repair the device by yourself. The use
of heat- and cold-producing devices, such as electric
heating blankets, heating pads, or ice packs, may
impair the performance of device and increase the risk
of injury to the user.
ȯIf you are allergic to plastic or rubber, don’t use
this device.
ȯDo not use the device if it is damaged in any way.
The continuous use of a damaged unit may cause
injury, improper results, or serious danger.
ȯWARNING:Don’t use near active High Frequency surgical
equipment and the RF shielded room of an Medical
Equipment system for magnetic resonance imaging, where
the intensity of Electro Magnetic disturbances is high.
ȯWARNING:Use of this equipment adjacent to or stacked
with other equipment should be avoided because it could
result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, this
equipment and the other equipment should be observed to
verify that they are operating normally.
ȯWARNING:Use of accessories, transducers, and
cables other than those specied or provided by
the manufacturer of this equipment could result in
increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased
electromagnetic immunity of this equipment and result
in improper operation.

Remove the battery cover
on the back of the unit.
NOTES:
When the depleted battery symbol ( ) or error 1
appear, replace all four batteries with new ones.
Items stored in memory are retained even if the
batteries are removed.
Disposal of used batteries should be carried out
in accordance with the national regulations for
the disposal of batteries.
Insert 4 AA batteries as
indicated into the battery
compartment.
Close the battery cover.

workmanship defects for a period of ONE (1) year from the
date of receipt.
