SATO TAP Hand Washing Station

SATO Tap consists of
two parts, Nozzle
and Base.
Orient the soap dish
to the desired side,
and align the nozzle
accordingly.
(Tip) Soap dish can
be oriented to be on
the left or right hand
side.
Set the bottle into
SATO Tap. Do this
operation swiftly to
not pour too much
water into the
nozzle.
Water bottle setup
complete.
Press the nozzle until
it snaps into the
attachment holes
of the base.
Assembly complete.
(Tip) If needed, nozzle
can be removed by
spreading the base and
disengaging the nozzle.

Water Bottle: Selection and Installation

If possible, prepare
2 or 3 clear bottles to
use as reserves.
SATO Tap is designed
to work with many
clear plastic beverage
bottles with cap size
of roughly 30mm in
diameter.
Recommended bottle
size: 1L to 2.5L
(Tip) It is recommended
to leave the filled water
bottles outside in the
sun to help disinfect
water.
Do not use SATO Tap to dispense water for drinking.
(Tip) If water comes out
from nozzle in OFF position,
the bottle is not suitable
for use with SATO Tap.
(Tip) Use up the water
in the bottle completely
until no water comes out
of nozzle, before setting
next bottle.

Place SATO Tap on
flat, level surface
near frequently
used locations such
as food preparation
areas and toilets.
Ensure there is soap in
soap dish.
Lightly tap the front of
nozzle downwards to
start dispensing water.
Use forearms and elbows.
To turn water off, raise
the front of nozzle up, or
tap the back of nozzle
downwards.
Again, use forearms and
elbows to minimize
contamination of hands.
• Clean outside surface of the unit with damp cloth.
• Periodically drain excess water out of soap dish and wipe clean, to keep soap dish
clean and dry.
• If the inside of nozzle requires cleaning or if foreign object got in the nozzle, remove
nozzle and clean by covering the openings by hand and vigorously shaking water
inside, and dumping out the water.
(Tip) Proper hand washing sequence:
1. Turn water ON
2. Wet hands with water and soap
3. Turn water OFF
4. Scrub hands and wrists for 20 seconds
5. Turn water ON
6. Rinse hands and wrists
7. Turn water OFF
(Optional) Secure the
unit using nails and
screws through
mounting holes at
the bottom of base.
Alternatively, SATO Tap can be
hung from structures and
trees by running a rope
through four holes located at
the top of base.
Suggested rope length: 2 meters
