14. Lightning - For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and
unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This
will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.
15. Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or
integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or
electric shock.
16. Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch
dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any

• Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
• Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth
or other protective material should be placed between it and the furniture.
• Do not clean your unit by water directly. Clean the unit with a soft, clean cloth slightly
moistened with plain lukewarm water only.
• Stronger cleaning agents, such as Benzene, thinner or similar materials can damage the
surface of the unit.

Plug the small end of the supplied power adapter into the DC IN jack at the back of the unit,
plug the adapter body into the standard AC wall socket.
CAUTION: The unit is designed to operate from a mains supply of AC 120V~60Hz. If the
adapter does not fit properly, turn it over and again. Do not force it.
NOTES: When the unit is not operated by the AC power or unused for long periods of the time,
please remove the power adapter from the wall outlet and unplug from the main unit.
TO SET THE CLOCK FIRST TIME
This unit is an AUTOSET radio alarm clock. The time and date have been preset at the factory.
All you have to do is to plug-in the unit, the current time corresponding to the default time zone
will be displayed.
TO SET THE TIME ZONE
1. Plug in the unit. (The time corresponding to the default time zone will be displayed
alternatively on the display.) The default time zone is set to be time zone No.2 for Eastern
Standard Time (EST).
2. Select the correct time zone based on your geographical area by pressing the + / - button on
the unit to advance time zone number forward / backward till the correct time is displayed.
You can review the displayed time to make sure the correct time zone is selected.
3. Once the correct time zone is displayed, press TIMEZONE/SOURCE button to confirm. The
unit will display the calendar information, followed by the current time to finish the setting.
4. The time zone can be adjusted later manually by holding the "TIMEZONE" button, then
press + / - button to select time zone and press "TIMEZONE" button to confirm.

Remarks: need to adjust manually to Newfoundland Standard Time (NST) from time zone number 1.

TO SET THE DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME (DST)
1. Depending on your location and the period of Daylight Saving Time (DST) to be in
effective during summer, you can manually set the daylight saving time by sliding the DST
switch on the unit to +1 position to advance the clock by one hour.
2. Slide the DST switch to -1 position to subtract one hour from current to back to normal
daylight time.
TO SET TIME AND DATE MANUALLY
Although the clock is preset at factory, you can still make time adjustment by Changing the
settings as follow:
Note: If the preset time is slightly deviated from actual current time or clock error occurred
during the shipment or your first time use, you can also follow the steps below to make
time/date adjustment manually.
1. Press and hold the CLOCK SET/CALENDAR button on the top of the unit for 2 sec
until the hour flashes on the display.
2. Press the +or -button to set the correct hour (hold the button for faster advance).
Remember to set the correct AM or PM time. The AM/PM Indicators appear to the left
of the time display.
3. Press the CLOCK SET/CALENDAR button gain. Press the +or -Button to set the
correct minute (hold the button for faster advance).
4. Press the CLOCK SET/CALENDAR button again. The year will flash. Press the +or -
Button until the current year is displayed.
5. Press the CLOCK SET/CALENDAR button again. The month will flash. Press the +or -
Button until the current month is displayed.
6. Press the CLOCK SET/CALENDAR button again. The date will flash. Press the +or -
button until the current date is displayed.
7. Press the CLOCK SET/CALENDAR button again (or no button within 10 seconds) to exit
the manual setting mode.
TO SET MONTH/DATE AND 12/24 HOUR FORMAT
1. You can select the clock display format by pressing the 12/24HR button to toggle the
clock display format to 12 hour or 24 hour.
2. You can select the calendar display format by sliding the M/D and D/M switch to toggle
between Month/Date or Date/Month display format.
TO DISPLAY THE YEAR AND DATE
1. Press the CLOCK/CALENDAR button. Month/Date will display for 2 seconds first and then
Year will display for another 2 seconds.
LCR303 has a single alarm system. The unit allows you to set the alarm to wake-to selectable
sound sources from either radio or buzzer. The unit also allows you to set alarm frequencies
with Everyday/Weekday/Weekend alarm modes.

TO SET THE ALARM
1. Press and hold the Alarm ON/OFF button until the alarm hour flashes.
2. Press the +or –button to set the alarm hour. (hold the button for fast advance).
Note: Remember to set the correct AM or PM time.
3. Press the Alarm ON/OFF button to confirm the alarm hour and start to set alarm minute.
4. Press the +or –button to set the alarm minute. (hold the button for fast advance).
5. Press the Alarm ON/OFF button again to confirm and start to set alarm mode (date of
week).
6. Press the +or –button to set the alarm mode as follows:
Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun = Everyday mode
Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri = Weekday mode
Sat Sun = Weekend mode
7. Press the Alarm ON/OFF button again (or no button pressed for 10 seconds) to
confirm and exit the alarm setting mode.
8. Slide the RADIO / BUZZ slide switch at the back of the unit to select the sound source the
unit is going to wake-to. If sliding it to RADIO position, alarm will wake-to radio; If sliding it
to BUZZ position, the alarm will wake-to buzzer.
Note: If the RADIO/BUZZ slide switch is on the RADIO position, the alarm goes off
when the radio is ON and playing. The unit would automatically switch to BUZZ mode
and alarm sound will become buzzer sound so you would not miss the alarm.
TO REVIEW THE ALARM
1. After the alarm has been set, to review the alarm time, press the Alarm ON/OFF button
once. The set alarm time will show on the display.
2. After 3 seconds, it will go back to normal time display.
TO TURN THE ALARM ON/OFF
1. During the alarm time review, press the Alarm ON/OFF button again to toggle alarm
ON/OFF. If the alarm has been activated (turned on), ALARM ON icon will display.
When there is no ALARM ON icon displaying, the alarm is turned off (deactivated).
2. After 3 seconds, it will go back to normal time display.
TO STOP THE ALARM AND RESET THE ALARM TO COME ON FOR THE NEXT DAY
1. When the alarm is sounding, press the Alarm ON/OFF button to stop the alarm.
2. The unit would automatically reset it to come on the next day. (For example, if alarm
is set for weekday mode and you stop the alarm on Friday, the alarm will come on
again on next Monday, not Saturday.
SNOOZE FUNCTION
1. Press the Snooze/Dimmer button after an alarm sounds. The alarm will be silenced
for the snooze duration period and then sound again.
2. Snooze can be pressed several times around the 1 hour alarm cycle. The snooze
duration is 7 minutes. (7->14->21->28->35->42->49->56->63)
ALARM DURING POWER FAILURE
1. If backup battery (not empty) is installed, the buzzer alarm will still sound for 60
seconds in the event of power failure. (Snooze function is disabled.)
2. To stop the buzzer sound, you can press the POWER ON/OFF button.

TO SET UP ANTENNA
1. Extend FM antenna fully and rotate the unit to the best orientation for the best reception.
TO TUNE AND PLAY THE RADIO
1. Press the POWER ON/OFF button to turn on the radio.
2. Rotate the FM TUNING knob to tune the radio to your desired radio channel.
3. To turn the VOLUME knob to adjust the speaker volume level.
4. To turn off the radio, press the POWER ON/OFF button.
You can play any portable or external audio device with a standard 3.5mm stereo audio cable
(not included) via the AUX IN jack on the unit.
1. Plug one end of a standard 3.5mm stereo audio cable into the earphone or line-out jack
on your external device and plug the another end of the audio cable into the unit’s AUX
IN jack.
2. Press the TIMEZONE/SOURCE button until AUX icon appearing on the display.
3. Turn on and play your external audio device.
4. Rotate the VOLUME knob to set the speaker volume level. You may need to adjust the
volume on your external device as well.
5. To stop the AUX playback, press the TIMEZONE/SOURCE button back to RADIO mode
or turn off the unit by pressing the POWER ON/OFF button. Please remember to turn off
your device.
6. Remember to turn off your external audio device after playback.
During the normal operation (when no alarm is sounding), press the SNOOZE / DIMMER
button to control the brightness of the LCD display. There are FOUR levels of dimmer control.

USING NAP TIMER
Sleep timer lets you sleep to your radio or AUX IN playback and the unit shuts off at the
selected time.
TO SET SLEEP TIMER
1. During the Power/Radio is ON, Press the SLEEP/NAP button to enter SLEEP mode.
2. The SLEEP icon on the display will be blinking and the sleep timer will display and cycle
through from 15 > 30 > 45 > 60 > 90 minutes or OFF
3. Press the SLEEP/NAP Button to cycle through 15 > 30 > 45 >60 > 90 minutes or OFF to
select the sleep time. (OFF means to cancel the sleep timer)
4. When the desired duration time is shown (for example, 60 minutes), stop and wait for 2
seconds to confirm. The sleep timer will start counting down and the SLEEP icon will be
blinking and showing on the display.
5. When the sleep timer is counting down, press the SLEEP/NAP button to display the
remaining time of the timer.
6. If you want to change the sleep timer, press the SLEEP/NAP button again to cycle
through again and select new sleep time or OFF.
TO CANCEL SLEEP TIMER
1. When the sleep timer is ON, press and hold the SLEEP/NAP button for 2 seconds to
cancel the sleep timer counting down.
2. Alternatively, press the SLEEP/NAP button and cycle through 15 > 30 > 45 >60 > 90>
OFF until OFF is displayed and wait for 2 seconds to cancel the sleep timer.
Nap timer lets you to set a timer other than the regular alarm function when the unit POWER
OFF. The NAP timer can only wake to BUZZER.
TO SET NAP TIMER
1. During the Power/Radio is OFF, Press the SLEEP/NAP button to enter NAP mode.
2. The NAP icon and the nap timer will display and cycle through 15 > 30 > 45 > 60 > 90
minutes > OFF
3. Press the SLEEP/NAP Button to cycle through 15 > 30 > 45 >60 > 90 minutes > OFF
to select the nap time. (OFF means to cancel the nap timer)
4. When the desired duration time is shown (for example, 60 minutes), stop and wait for
2 seconds to confirm. The nap timer will start counting down and the NAP icon will display.
5. When the nap timer is counting down, press the SLEEP/NAP button to display the
remaining time of the timer.
6. If you want to change the nap timer, press the SLEEP/NAP button again to cycle through
again and select new nap time or OFF.
7. When the desired duration of nap timer is elapsed, the alarm will turn ON to Buzzer. Press
POWER ON/OFF to turn Buzzer OFF.
TO CANCEL SLEEP TIMER
1. When the nap timer is ON, press and hold the SLEEP/NAP button for 2 seconds to
cancel the nap timer counting down.
2. Alternatively, press the SLEEP/NAP button and cycle through 15 > 30 > 45 >60 > 90 >
OFF until OFF is displayed and wait for 2 seconds to cancel the nap timer.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
BATTERY LOW INDICATOR
When the backup battery power is low, the low battery indication icon will display and blink. It
is time to replace the backup battery.
TO INSTALL / REPLACE BACKUP BATTERY
1. Make sure the AC adaptor is connected during battery replacement. Otherwise, all
settings may be lost and reset.
2. Remove the screw that secures the battery door by using a screwdriver.
3. Pull the battery door on the bottom of the unit as shown below.
4. Insert a new battery in the battery door with “+” positive facing up. Only CR2450 lithium
battery should be used.
5. Insert the battery door with new battery back into the unit.
6. Secure the battery door by using a screwdriver.
7. After the battery replacement, the low battery indication icon will disappear.
BATTERY WARNING:
1. Make sure the correct polarity of battery to be installed.
2. Make sure you dispose of batteries properly (refer to your local regulations)
3. Do not open batteries
4. Do not dispose of batteries in fire
5. Do not heat up batteries
6. Do not expose batteries to water
7. Do not change or recharge batteries
