Safety Warnings
• Read all the instructions carefully
before using the unit and keep
them for future reference.
• Retain the manual. If you pass the
unit onto a third party make sure
to include this manual.
• Check that the voltage marked
on the rating label matches your
mains voltage.
Damage
• Please inspect the unit for
damage after unpacking.
• Do not continue to operate the
unit if you are in any doubt about
it working normally, or if it is
damaged in any way - switch o,
unplug from the mains socket
and consult your dealer.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of
temperature, either hot or cold.
Place the unift well away from
heat sources such as radiators or
gas / electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight
and other sources of heat.
• The use of apparatus in moderate
climates.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle
or naked ame on the top of or
near the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric
shock or product damage, do not
expose this unit to rain, moisture,
dripping or splashing. No objects
lled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the unit. Do
not operate the unit with wet
hands, near water or other liquid.
• If you spill any liquid into the
unit, it can cause serious damage.
Switch it o at the mains
immediately. Withdraw the mains
plug and consult your dealer.
Safety
• Always disconnect the unit
from the mains supply before
connecting / disconnecting other
devices or moving the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the mains
socket during a lightning storm.
• In the interests of safety and
to avoid unnecessary energy
consumption, never leave the unit
switched on while unattended
for long periods of time, e.g.
overnight, while on holiday or
while out of the house. Switch it

Interference

the volume down then put the
earphones on and slowly increase
the volume until you reach a
comfortable listening level.

• Please dispose of batteries
correctly by following the
guidance in this manual.
• Do not expose the battery to
direct sunlight or sources of
excessive heat.

Service

Power Source
Battery Power
1. Open the battery compartment
cover at the bottom of the CD
player.
2. Insert two alkaline batteries, size
“AA”; install the battery correctly
by following the polarity (+ and
–) indications in the battery
compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment
cover.
When to Replace the Batteries
When the batteries are becoming at, the “ “ indicator ashes in the LCD
display; replace all the batteries with new alkaline ones.
Handling the Batteries
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery
leakage, which could cause personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the batteries correctly by following the polarity (+ and –)
indications in the battery compartment.
• Use only the types of the batteries which are indicated in this manual.
• When the batteries are exhausted, the CD player will not function.
Replace both batteries at the same time with new ones.
• Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix dierent
types of batteries.
• Do not dispose of the used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them
in accordance with local regulations.
• If you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the batteries
to avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
• Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
• Disposal of a battery into re or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or
cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion.
• Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding
environment that can result in an explosion or the leakage of ammable
liquid or gas.
• A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure that may result in an
explosion or the leakage of ammable liquid or gas.

DC IN 4.5VUSB
Mains Power
Connect the DC IN socket of the unit to a mains socket with a mains
adapter (not supplied) with a 4.5V 700mA output power.
Using Micro USB Cable
Use a Micro USB cable (not supplied) to connect the Micro USB Port of the
unit, and then connect the other end of the cable into a laptop or a USB
adapter (or powerbank).
Caution:
• This product can only use the external power supply whose output is
PS1 or PS2 (output power below 100W) approved according to safety
standard EN62368.
• Do NOT use external power supply with output voltage below 4.5Vdc
or over 5Vdc; output current below 700mA or above 20A.
• Danger may be caused if the improper power supply is used.

Connections
Connecting to a Sound System Component
Connect an audio cable (not supplied) into the PHONES socket of your CD
player and the other end into an audio device.
Listening with the Earphones
Connect the earphones (supplied) to
the PHONES socket of the CD Player.
Turn down the volume before
connecting the earphones. Slowly raise
the volume with the earphones on
until you reach your desired volume.

• Long-term exposure to loud music may cause hearing damage. It is
best to avoid extreme volume when using earphones, especially for
extended periods of time.
• While you increase the volume by pressing the VOLUME+ button and
the unit reaches the volume safety cap (VOL 11), the Volume lock
message (HOLD) will light on. Press the / / Volume Unlock
Button to exit, and then press the VOLUME+ button if you still want to
increase the volume.
• The volume lock will work once until you replace and play another CD.
After pressing the / / Volume Unlock Button, the Volume lock
message (HOLD) will still light once the player reaches the safety cap.
To prevent possible hearing
damage, do not listen at
high volume levels for a
long period of time.

Operation
Inserting CD
Open the CD door by sliding the Open Switch.
Place the CD rmly on the central spindle and close the CD door.
Playing CD
Press the button to Play / Pause.
Adjust the volume control by pressing VOLUME +/– button.
To stop play, press the button. Press the button again to turn o the
power.
The default volume of the unit is VOL 8. When you press the
Vol+ button to increase the volume leve to VOL 11, the display
will ash “HOLD” and the display will disappear after 2 seconds,
indicating that the volume up function is locked. Press the unlock
button to for about 2 seconds, and then press the VOL+ button
again to increase to your desired volume level.
Removing CD
Remove the CD by opening the CD door, holding the centre spindle and
lifting out the CD.

Other Operation
Folder function operation
When the CD player plays MP3 disc, it will play 001-F01 (Track-Folder)
by default. You can quickly to select the dierent folders and songs as
followings:
1. Press the “ESP / Folder” button, and then press the / button to
enter your desired folder
2. The rst song in the folder will start to play automatically, or press the
button to start CD playback.
3. Press the / button to skip to next or previous track.
The ESP function is defaulted to on while playing MP3 format disc.

Repeat
Press P-MODE / PROG button repeatedly to select between REP 1, REP
ALL, INTRO, RAND, and Normal mode.
REP 1 (Repeat once) Repeat the current or selected track(s).
REP DIR (Repeat
folder)
Repeat the selected folder.
(Only available in MP3 CD)
REP ALL (Repeat all) Repeat all tracks, regardless of folder.
INTRO Briey to listen to track(s).
RAND (Random) Play all tracks in the Player at random.
Normal Play all tracks in order once.
Play Tracks in the order you want (Program Play)
You can program the playing of up to 24 tracks (99 tracks for a MP3 CD) in
the order you decide.
1. When the CD player is stopped, press the P-MODE / PROG button, the
display will show P-01, and “PROG” and the track number will ash.
2. Press the or button to Skip / Search to choose a track.
3. Press the P-MODE / PROG button to add the track in the program.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to program all the tracks you want.
5. Press the button to Play / Pause. “PROG” stops ashing, and the CD
player plays your chosen tracks in the order you specied.
6. To cancel Program Play, press the button twice, or open the CD door.
A-B Repeat Playback
1. During playback, press the A-B button at the point where you want to
start playing repeatedly.
2. The display will show A SEL.
3. Press A-B button again at the point where you want to stop playing
repeatedly.
4. The display will show A-B, and the chosen section (point A to point B)
will playback repeatedly.
5. Press the A-B button again to clear the repeat playback.

Electronic Shock Protection
The unit incorporates an electronic anti-skip circuit to prevent interruption
of the sound output when the unit is subjecting to shock, vibration or
rolling during CD playback. The antis-shock system will automatically
activate when a disc is playing, the ESP indicator will appear in display and
ashing.
• Press the ESP button to switch on/o the Electronic Shock Protection
function.
To Increase the Bass
Press the BBS button to switch on/o Bass Boost Switch (BBS).
If the bass boost results in distorted sound, turn down the volume.
Hold Function (Key Lock)
You may slide the HOLD switch to the ON
position to lock the unit during playback.
The display will show HOLD and all the
buttons will be locked.
To unlock the unit, slide the HOLD switch
back to the OFF position.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Case
• Wipe with a soft cloth. If the case is very dirty, moisten the cloth with a
weak solution of non-caustic detergent and water, and us this to clean
the case.
Handling Discs
• Do not touch the playback side of the disc.
• Do not attach paper or tape to the disc.
Cleaning Discs
• Fingerprints and dust on the disc cause picture and sound deterioration.
Wipe the disc from the centre outwards with a soft cloth. Always keep
the disc clean.
Playback side
• If you cannot wipe o the dust with a soft cloth, wipe the disc lightly
with a slightly moistened soft cloth and nish with a dry cloth.
• Do not use any type of solvent such as thinner, benzine, commercially
available cleaners or antistatic spray. They may damage the disc.
Storing Discs
• Do not store discs in places subjected to direct sunlight or near heat
sources.
• Do not store discs in places subjected to moisture and dust such as a
bathroom or near a humidier.
• Storing discs vertically in a case, stacking discs or placing objects on
discs outside of their cases may cause warping.

Hints and Tips
If a problem does occur, it may often be due to something very minor. The
following table contains various tips.
Problem Cause / Solution
CD player does
not work.
• Batteries are dead or low, replace batteries.
CD does not
play.
• CD is incorrectly inserted, re-insert the CD label
side up.
• Defective CD, try another CD.
• CD compartment is not closed, close CD
compartment cover properly.
• Condensation in CD compartment, remove CD and
leave cover open for about one hour to dry out.
No sound in
the earphones.
• Earphones are not connected properly, re-insert
earphone socket.
• Volume control is at minimum, increase the volume.
Skips during
play.
• Dirty CD or lens, clean or replace CD, or clean lens.
• Strong vibrations, place CD player on a at & stable
surface.
