PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Building a roof that takes on the weather has never been easier
than with LP ReadyPeak™roofing planks. As the only roofing
product that goes directly on the roof truss in a single step without
additional materials, we make installing a roof for your shed simple.

CHOOSING YOUR ALIGNMENT STYLE
Align the bottom of the left corner of the starting panel with the outside corner of
the far left rafter (Detail C). This results in no panel overhang (Detail A). You may
add up to 1-1/2˝of panel overhang as noted in Detail B. Consider placing a 2x4
trim piece under the overhang to help prevent OSB damage.

SECURING PANEL 
Secure the panel to the roof using gasket screws placed 1-1/4˝–4˝from the
front edge of the panel through the center of each rafter it covers. If overhang
exists, add the lengths of overhang to the above specification for placement of
the screws. Ensure gasket screws are placed in the center of the stud.

LOCKING TOGETHER FIELD PANELS
Align the plank to the flat edges of the ship lap. Be sure the
plank is flat against the truss. There should be a maximun
2˝gap at the roof ridge to allow for ridge cap coverage.
Secure each panel to the roof using two gasket screws
3/4˝from the drip edge through the center of each truss
it covers. These should also be 24˝center to center apart.
Note: Panels should look flush from the inside.

Step 3: Left End Cap

ALIGNMENT
Apply roughly a 1/2˝bead of silicone caulk along the left edge of the newly
fastened panels about 1-1/2˝from the panel edges. See Detail A below.
Align the angled edge of the left end cap with the roof centerline where it
will meet coincident with the end cap on the other side. See Detail B below.

TOP AND SIDE SCREWS
Secure the end cap to the panels using five gasket screws in line with
the previously placed screws. See Detail A.
Once the top screws are in place, drive four gasket screws starting
2-1/2˝from the end of the end cap and 1-1/2˝in from the top face of the
end cap. Space the screws 17˝apart. See Detail B below.

Securing Ridge Cap
Apply a roughly 1/2˝bead of silicone caulk along the top face of the newly
fastened panels near the exposed lap of the top field panel (on both sides of
the roof). See Detail A below.
Place the ridge cap over the open gap at the peak of the roof. Create roughly
a 3/8˝overhang on the frontside of the roof. See Detail B.
Secure the ridge cap to the panels using twenty six (26) gasket screws
(thirteen on each side of the ridge cap, every 12˝). Ensure that these screws
line up with the previously installed screws.
