Warranty
•This fan remote controller is covered by a 12 month warranty. Please retain proof of purchase.
•Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the fan remote control.
•
Installation requirements
•Must be installed by a licensed electrician.
•All wiring and installation must adhere to local and national wiring rules.
eg. AS/NZS 3000:2007/Amendment 2:2012 Electrical installations.
•Do not exceed rated power input specification.
•Select a suitable location for installation;
- This product is suitable for indoor use only.
•This ceiling fan remote controller is only suitable for controlling the fan motor and the light kit associated with the
ceiling fan only. Any other use would consider as misuse and warranty is void.
•Do not install fan remote controller with existing fan wall controller. Remove existing wall controller and replace with
a double pole wall switch, to power the fan remote controller.
•Do not use a solid state dimmer with this ceiling fan remote controller.
•Check whether the product has been damaged during transport. Do not operate/install any product which appears
damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.
Receiver (controller) Transmitter (remote)
This remote controller is designed to control your ceiling fan speed, and lamp. There are 4 buttons (HI, MED, LOW,
OFF) to control the fan speed and on/off, And one button to control light on/off.

Installation preperation
Before carrying out the installation the following must be considered.
•1 x 9VDC (size) battery is required to operate the remote controller. Remove the battery cover from the back of
the remote and plug battery into the battery connector (Battery not included).
•The remote (transmitter) and receiver must be configured so that communication between each other is paired
up. This is achieved by setting the DIP Switch on the receiver and remote on the same setting.
Note: The DIP switch assembly has 4 switches which can be setup to 16 different transmitting code combinations. This
is practical when there is more than 1 remote/receiver pair operating locally or in the same room.

Installing the receiver
FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS
-IF YOUR CEILING FAN MOTOR HANGS DOWN FROM THE CEILING ON A ROD. FOLLOW ALL SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS IN YOUR CEILING FAN INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
-REMEMBER TO REMOVE ELECTRICAL POWER BEFORE STARTING WORK.
-WIRING MUST MEET ALL ELECTRICAL WIRING CODES.
MAKING THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS (see Fig. 2)
Use the wire nut terminal block provided for making connections.

-For your safety: Power to the circuit must be disconnected or switched off.
-Household power can cause SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH
-Wiring must meet all local and national electrical wiring codes

1. Remove/ disconnect electrical power from the working circuit.
2. Remove the ceiling fan CANOPY cover from the mounting bracket.
Disconnect existing wiring from the supply at ceiling.
3. Connect the earth (GREEN/YELLOW) wire to the supply EARTH wire, and ensure continuity for the whole
electrical earth wiring.
4. Connect AC IN L of control unit to AC L supply wire.
5. Connect AC IN N of control unit to AC N supply wire.
6. Connect TO MOTOR N of control unit wire to the MOTOR (N) fan wire.
7. Connect TO MOTOR L of control unit wire to the MOTOR (L) fan wire.
8. Connect FOR LIGHT of control unit wire to the LIGHT fan wire.
9. Push the connected wires up into the junction box.
10. Lay the control unit wire on top of the control unit.
11. Lay the control unit in the CANOPY. (See Fig. 4).
12. Reinstall the canopy on the mounting bracket.
13. Restore electrical power to the circuit.

NOTE: Fan installation must be complete including assembly of blades before operating the remote controller.
NOTE: This remote/controller is only suitable where the controller/receiver can be inserted inside the canopy
cover safely and securely. Ceiling fan with mount bracket type shown in Fig. 4 would be suitable.
NOTE: The controller wiring circuit must NOT be shared with any electrical equipment that is sensitive to
voltage fluctuation, such as flooding with infrared sensor.
DO NOT use the wiring of the controller, other than for the purpose supplying power into the controller, and
connections to the equipment that is under control. Any outside wiring connections which is not part of the
controller/controlled circuit may affect the operation of the controller, and will void warranty.

NOTE: Slope ceiling angle should not exceed the fan hanging system supported degrees. It will damage the
receiver and causes electric shock. Please check with retailer about pitch angle suitable for fan slope ceiling
mounting with remote control.
NOTE: DO NOT use Fan Wall Controls that have speed adjustment / light dimmer function with the Fan that has
Remote Control device to avoid damage to the Remote as following:
If the Remote Control device is to be installed with an existing ceiling fan with any of the above Wall Manual Fan
Controls, PLEASE Replace Fan wall controller with the Double pole ON/OFF switch shown below:
Note: A double pole wall switch must be included in the wiring installation. The double pole switch allows
disconnect the remote controller from the mains 240VAC power during maintenance and cleaning of the ceiling
fan.

Operating the remote

Before you start using the remote, take the time to read through this section and get familiar with the button and function
of each button.

LED Indicator
The red LED indicator on the top of transmitter will flash when the buttons are active.
BUTTONS ON THE REMOTE
HI: Press the button to set fan running at High speed.
MED: Press the button to set fan running at Middle speed.
LOW: Press the button to set fan running at Low speed.
OFF: Press the button to turn ON/OFF the fan.
: Press the button to turn ON/ OFF the light.
The remote has memory function, if turn off the fan or light by wall switch, it will memorize and recover to last status
when turn on the fan or light next time.

In the event of service being required, please call the Lucci Fan Warranty Hotline on 1800 602 243 between 9am & 5pm
(EST) Monday to Friday. Please make sure you have all the ceiling fan details filled out at the end of the manual before
making the call.
Every Lucci ceiling fan and remote controller are thoroughly inspected and tested before being released for sale. In
addition to any warranty rights or conditions under statutory regulations, Lucci warrants all of its ceiling fans & remote
controller against defective workmanship and faulty materials for 12 months from the date of purchase. Lucci
undertakes, at its option, to repair or replace, free of charge, each product or part thereof on condition that;
1. The fan or remote controller have not been subjected to misuse, neglect, or been involved in an accident.
2. The repairs are not required as a result of normal wear and tear.
3. The product was installed by a licensed electrical contractor.
4. A copy of the original receipt of purchase is presented.
5. 12 month warranty applies when used in any non-domestic applications.
6. This warranty does not cover stains, scratch and scuff marks, or dents if the product is purchased through a
factory outlet or to refurbished items.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does
not amount to a major failure.
Lucci Design cannot be held responsible for any repair other than those carried out by it or one of its
Authorised Service Agents. Please keep this warranty information in a safe place. This information must be
produced in the event of service being required.
