1. AMIGO™ System Overview
AMIGO™ is 8-VSB Modulator which has been applied to ATSC standard. Its Input Interface
supports SMPTE-310M (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) and DVB-ASI
Input.AMIGO™ receives MPEG2 TS (Transport Stream) through DVB ASI Input or SMPTE-
310M Input Interface.And it modulates with 8-VSB and makes RF Signal by built-in RF Up
Converter.

5. Precautions
Please read all safety and operating instructions before using this product. For best results,
be aware of all warnings on the product and follow these operating instructions. Retain these
safety and operating instructions for future reference.
1. Power Source
Connect this product only to the power source described in the operating instructions
or as marked on the product itself.
2 Power Cable Protection
Route all power cables safely. Ensure the power cables can neither be walked upon nor
pinched by items placed near or against the cables. Pay particular attention to locations
near AC receptacles, AC outlet strips and points of entry to the product.
3. Electrical Shocks
Take care not to drop objects or spill liquids into the product through enclosure
openings. Metal objects, such as hairpins or needles, inserted into the product may
contact voltages resulting in serious electrical shocks. Never permit children to insert
any objects into this product.
4. Ventilation
Locate the product so as not to interfere with its ventilation. Do not place books or
other equipment on the product that may impede the free movement of air. Allow a
minimum of 4 inches (10 cm) between the rear of the product and the wall or operating
desk shelf.
5. Abnormal Odors
The presence of an unusual odor or smoke is often a sign of trouble. Immediately turn
the power OFF and remove the power cable. Contact a dealer or the nearest Service
Center for advice.
6. Servicing
Remove the product’s enclosure only to do accessory installations described by this
manual or accessory manuals. Follow provided instructions carefully to avoid electrical
shocks. If unfamiliar with this type of work, seek assistance from an experienced
individual, or have a professional technician do the task.
7. Damage Requiring Service
Enlist the services of qualied personnel in the following cases:
a) The power supply or plug is damaged.
b) Objects have fallen or liquid has spilled into the product.
c) The product has been exposed to rain.
d) The product is operating abnormally or performance has degraded seriously.
e) The product has been dropped or the enclosure damaged.

Press [SET] Button from starting menu. On Set By Menu, select Cable Ch, Terre Ch,
Frequency and change Frequency by Up / Down Buttons.
You can change Number by Left / Right Buttons.

Choose ‘2.RF Power’ from starting menu, then press [SET] Buttons
Change RF Output Level by Up / Down Buttons.

Choose ‘number 5’ from starting menu, then press [SET] Buttons.
Press Setting Buttons( ) to change Ref 10Mhz setting.
10MHZ reference setting supportes Int, and Ext. However, the 75Ω Type is non- xiable.

Check computer’s COM for using RC-232C Port
Control Panel System Device Manager Ports (COM & LPT)
After check ‘Ports (COM & LPT)’, run RS-232C Ports Access program
(Hyper Terminal, Secure CRT...).

Using matlab simulation results if the following, PD.exe can get by using the
improved results.
