• Never let the power-cable come into contact with other cables. Handle the power-cable
and all mains voltage connections with particular caution!
• Never remove warning or informative labels from the equipment.
• Do not open the equipment and do not modify the equipment.
• Do not connect this equipment to a dimmer-pack.
• Do not switch the equipment on and off in short intervals, as this will reduce the system’s life.
• Only use the equipment indoors.
`• Do not expose to flammable sources, liquids or gases.
• Cleaning must be done at regular intervals.
• Before cleaning, wait until the unit has cooled.
• Use a vacuum or dry compressed air and a soft brush to remove the dust collected on
the external vents and accessible internal components.
• Clean the external surfaces with a mild solution of non-ammonia glass cleaner or
isopropyl alcohol and wipe with a soft, lint free cotton cloth or lens cleaning tissue.
• Always disconnect the power from the mains when equipment is not in use or before
cleaning! Only handle the power-cable by the plug. Never pull out the plug by pulling the power-cable.
• Make sure that the available voltage is between 100V/240V.
• Make sure that the power-cable is never crimped or damaged. Check the equipment and the
power-cable periodically.
• If the equipment is dropped or damaged, disconnect the mains power supply immediately.
Have a qualified engineer inspect the equipment before operating again.
• If the equipment has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation),

securely (preferably in the original packing material), and return it to your Prolight dealer for service.
• Only use fuses of same type and rating.
• Repairs, servicing and power connection must only be carried out by a qualified
technician. THIS UNIT CONTAINS NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS.
• WARRANTY; One year from date of purchase.
OPERATING DETERMINATIONS
If this equipment is operated in any other way, than those described in this manual, the product may
suffer damage and the warranty becomes void.

7. Fixture Cleaning
The cleaning of internal and external optical lenses and/or mirrors must be carried out
periodically to optimize light output. Cleaning frequency depends on the environment in
which the fixture operates: damp, smoky or particularly dirty surrounding areas can cause
greater accumulation of dirt on the unit’s optics.
yClean with soft cloth using normal glass cleaning fluid.
yAlways dry the parts carefully.
yClean the external optics at least every 20 days. Clean the internal optics at least every
30/60 days.

6. Troubleshooting
The following are a few common problems that may occur during operation. Here are some
suggestions for easy troubleshooting:
A. The unit does not work, no light and the fan does not work
1. Check the connection of power and main fuse.
2. Check the power LED is lit.
B. Not responding to DMX controller
1. The DMX LED should be lit. If not, check the DMX connectors and cables to see if it is
linked properly.
2. If the DMX LED is on and there is no response to the channel, check the address
settings and DMX polarity.
3. If you have intermittent DMX signal problems, check the connectors and cables.
4. Try another DMX controller or cables.
5. Check if the DMX cables run near or run alongside high voltage cables that may cause
interference to the DMX circuit.
C. Some units don’t respond to the easy controller
1. You may have a break in the DMX cabling. Check the LED for the response of the
master/slave mode signal.
2. The wrong DMX address is set on the unit. Set the proper address.
D. No response to the sound
1. Make sure the unit is not set into DMX mode.
2. Check the microphone to see if it is working by tapping it.
4A
Installation:
The unit should be mounted via omega bracket (see below). Always ensure that the unit
is firmly fixed to avoid vibration and slipping while operating. Make sure that the structure
to which you are attaching the unit is secure and is able to support a weight of 10 times of
the unit’s weight. Also always use a safety cable that can hold 12 times of the weight of
the unit when installing the fixture.
The equipment must be installed by the professionals. It must be fixed in a place where is
out of the reach of people.

5. DMX 512 Connections
Unit 4 (slave) Unit 3 (slave) Unit 2 (slave) Unit 1
(master)
1. At last unit, the DMX cable has to be terminated with a terminator (CABL90 3-pin or
CABL89 5-pin). Alternatively solder a 120 ohm 1/4W resistor between pin 2 (DMX-)
and pin 3(DMX+) into a 3-pin XLR-plug and plug it in the DMX output of the last unit.
2. Connect the units together in a `daisy chain` fashion by plugging from output to the
input of the next unit. The cable can not be branched or split to a `Y` cable. DMX 512 is
a very high-speed signal. Inadequate or damaged cables, badly soldered joints or
corroded connectors can easily distort the signal.
3. The DMX output and input connectors are “pass-through” to maintain the DMX circuit,
when one of the units power is disconnected.
4. Each lighting unit needs to have an address set to receive the data sent by the
controller. The address number is between 001-512.
5. The end of the DMX 512 system should be terminated to reduce signal errors.
