Important safeguards
When using this electrical appliance, below safety precautions should always be followed:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Dangerous high voltages are present inside this enclosure. To avoid electric shock, do
not open the cabinet. Refer servicing to qualied personnel only.
3. Before using this unit, check the mains power voltage corresponds to the voltage shown
on the marking plate. Only connect it to a suitable AC 230V~50Hz earthed wall socket.
4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the iron, cord or plug in water or
other liquids.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliances by a
person responsible for their safety.
6. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. This
appliance should not be used by children. To avoid possible accidental injury, close
supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children or inrm
persons.
7. Always unplug the appliance when not in use. Never leave this unit unattended when it is
plugged in or during the cool down period. Keep this unit out of the reach of the children.
To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from electrical outlet. Never pull cord.
8. Do not use the appliance if the plug, cord or the appliance itself shows visible damage or
if the appliance has been dropped or is leaking. For electrical safety, any repairs to the
appliance must be carried out by a qualied electrical person only.
9. This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial, industrial or
outdoor use.
10. Do not let any cord hang over the edge of the table or counter. Do not allow the cord
to come into contact with the soleplate when it is hot. Allow the iron to cool completely
before putting away.
11. When you have nished ironing, when you clean the appliance, when you ll or empty
the water tank….set the steam control to “No steam” position, put the iron on its heel and
remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
12. Always use and rest the iron on a stable, level and horizontal surface.
13. The iron should always be turned to “MIN” before plugging or unplugging from the mains
outlet.
14. Do not put perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids or other chemicals
in the water tank.
15. Your iron is designed to rest on the heel. Do not place the iron on an unprotected surface
even if it is on its heel rest.
16. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
