Installation of RVWM-ADKIT
STEP 1
Use a small flat blade screw driver to
remove the trim ring of the RV5070 /RV5090.
Set the 4 mounting screws aside after
removing them.
STEP 2
Pull the radio gently away from the
mounting location and unplug all the
connections from the back to of the radio.
Be careful not to let the connections fall
back into the mounting hole.
STEP 3
Remove the plastic film from the
black mounting adapter. Use the
(4) black screws supplied and
attach the adapter plate to the
mounting surface. DO NOT over
tighten these screws. Make sure
to keep the existing wires routed
through the radio hole in the
adapter plate
STEP 4
Plug the existing (2) plugs from the old radio into the
harness adapter. They only fit one way. Connect the end
of the adapter harness into the radio. Plug the radio
antenna into the socket at the lower right side of the
radio chassis. Also plug the yellow RCA connector into
Video Out connector on the back of the radio chassis.
STEP 5
Remove the (2) transport screws from the
top of the chassis then remove the trim ring
or screw covers from the front of the radio.
Slide the radio chassis into the adapter plate
opening. Check the operation of the radio
before final mounting.
