Precautions
1. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. To prevent the risk of electric shock, do
not remove cover or the back of the unit. If any problem occurs, Please refer servicing
to a qualified service personnel.
2. LI-500 is equipped with overload protection fuse and if the system drew too much
current exceeding its maximum output rating, the fuse will blow. In case of a blown
fuse, please replace it with the same fuse rating.
3. After a long period of usage, there will be some heat build up at the unit, therefore
do not place LI-500 in the poor ventilated area or put anything on top of it.
4. Do not place the unit in path of direct sunlight condition. Please be careful not to
spill any water on the unit through the heat ventilator area.
5. To reduce interference between LI-500 and other equipment, please do not place
LI-500 on top of audio or video equipments.
6. LI-500 can be clean by a moisten piece of cloth, micro fiber, or chamois. For oily
dirt deposit, please wipe clean it by a mild detergent.

Introduction
LI-500 is a Line Isolator, and by its name, the main function is to separate your audio
and video AC current supply from all other electronics devices and by doing that, much
of the high frequency noises that pollute your AC line can be greatly reduce.
The heart of LI-500 is a low impedance toroidal isolation transformer; it can
continuously supply the power for your electronic devices. By using double shielding
technique between input and output (Double Faraday-Shielding), interference and
surge in the form of common mode noise can be reduce more than 80 db or 10,000
times!
We designed LI-500 so it can be used with any of your audio and video electronic
devices that do not exceed its rating output power. Moreover, LI-500 can be used
together with Magnet LC-2 power line conditioner for a better noise filtration system.

of what should and should not do with LI-500

Unit features and functions
1. Front panel red LED
Red LED will light up when the unit is turned on.
2. ON/OFF switch
Press the switch to turn ON and OFF. LI-500 ON/OFF switch can be used as the
main switch by leaving other connected devices switch in ON position.
3. AC Line Input Fuse
A 3A fuse is used for over current protection.
4. AC IN Socket
An AC socket with a grounded pin for detachable AC Cord
5. AC OUT Socket
This AC output socket is designed to be connected with Magnet LC-2
OPTION LOOP.
6. Isolated Line AC Output
These two AC outputs are designed to be connected with audio or video
equipments in which the total output power does not exceed 500 Watts.
7. AC Line Output Fuse
This AC Line Output Fuse is designed to protect the unit from supplying too much
current.
Caution: To replace a blown fuse, always replace it with the same fuse rating as
specify in this manual.

Operations
1. LI-500 is a high AC voltage device, for safety purpose, place the unit away
from reach of children and pets. Check for proper wiring before operating the unit.
After the unit is turned on, the red LED located on the front panel will be lit.
2. LI-500 is recommended to be connected with digital or video devices such as, CD
player, DVD player, D/A converter, DLP Projector, etc.
Please be careful not to exceed its maximum output power.
3. Because video and audio systems can easily interfere with each other as load-to-
load interferences if both systems shared the same power line without using
isolate system. To achieve a greater improvement for both video and audio
systems, we recommended using two isolation transformers, one for audio and
another for video system.
4. LI-500 will be completely functions only if the ground connection is properly
installed. If the grounding system is not installed LI-500 can filter out high
frequency noises only at a certain level.
5. LI-500 can be used with Line Conditioner or Line stabilizer for a greater noises
reduction system by connecting LI-500 AC input with the Line Stabilizer or Line
Conditioner AC output.
6. In the case of upgrading Magnet LC-2 Power Line Conditioner with LI-500
Isolation Transformer. This can be done by:
1. Remove the LC-2 Link Cable.
2. Connect LC-2 AC Output with LI-500 AC Input.
3. Connect LI-500 AC Output with LC-2 AC Input.
Caution: Please make sure that all AC Sockets have been tightly plugged in.

Problem and Primary Suggestions
In Case of malfunctions while the unit is still ON, please turn OFF the unit immediately,
check the symptoms and follow the instructions below. If the unit is still malfunction,
please consult with your Magnet’s authorized dealers. Do not keep using the unit
while the problems still exist.
Problem Causes Suggestions
The front panel red light is
not ON and there are no AC
current at AC OUTPUT
sockets.
- The AC cord is not plugged in
to AC IN socket or a loose
connection.
- ON/OFF switch is in OFF
position.
- AC IN Fuse has blown.
- Make sure the AC cord
is tightly plugged in.
- Press the switch to ON
position.
- Replace a blown fuse
with the same fuse
rating.
The front panel red light is
not ON but there is AC
current at the AC OUTPUT
sockets.
- The red LED on the front
panel might be broken.
- Consult with the dealer
for LED replacement.
The front panel red light in
ON but there is no AC
current at the AC OUTPUT
sockets.
- AC Line Output fuse has
blown.
- Replace a blown fuse
with the same fuse
rating.

Warranty Information
1. Magnet Technology Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Magnet) warrants to
the original retail purchaser only, that its product is free from defects in material
and workmanship under normal use and authorizes free service and/or parts
exchange at any Magnet Authorized Service Station only, for a period of ONE year
from the date of purchase.
2. The warranty is subjected to the following conditions and limitations. The warranty
is void: if product has been used other than in accordance with the instruction in
the owner's manuals: abused or misused or is due to the product being repaired or
tampered with by anyone other than Magnet or an authorized repair center.
3. The warranty does not apply to defects or failure caused by unauthorized parts,
improper maintenance, fire, flood, lightning or other natural causes.
4. This warranty does not include the damage of external parts i.e., faceplate, knobs,
metal casing, etc.
5. A returned product must include a copy of the Warranty Certification and the bill of
sale.
6. The warranty does not extend to any incidental or consequential cost or damages
to the purchaser.
