STEP1
SNOWBLOWERPREPARATION
NOTE:Thissteprequirestwopeople.
Wraptherotationring(item1)(grooveinside)around
theedgeofthedischargechute(item2)asshown.
Placethechute(item3)(openingfacingforward)over
therotationring.
IMPORTANT:Theringmustbeinsidethebaseofthe
chute.Itisthechutethatwillholdtherotationringin
place.
On the right side of snowblower, install the grooved
rotationring(item4)underthechuteasshown.
Secure the chute and rotation ring in place with six
hex bolts 1/4’’ x 1 1/4’’ (item 5) and nuts as shown.
Donottightentoofirmly.
On the left side of the snowblower, install the other
half of rotation ring (item 6) under the chute as
shown.
Securethechuteandrotationringinplacewiththree
hexbolts 1/4’’x11/4’’(item7)andnuts(asshown).
Donottightenthenutstoofirmly.
(Nutsthat aretoo tightmight prevent the chute from
rotating side to side. Only a slight pressure is
necessary).
Installtherotationring
Adjust the hydraulic motor (item 1) by loosening the
threenutsonthecarriagebolts(item2)thatholdthe
hydraulicmotorinplace.Donotremovethenuts.
Slidethemotortowardsthechute(item3)asshown
(the grooves on the motor’s sprocket must match
those of the rotation ring). Adjust and retighten the
nuts.Tightenfirmly.
Install the sprocket guard (item 4) as shown and
secureinplacewithtwo1/4’’x1/2’’bolts(item5).

NOTE: Tofacilitate installation, turn the snowblower
facedown.
Insertthe1/4’’key(item1)ontheinputshaft(item2).
Slidethehalfdriveline(item3)ontheinputshaftuntil
theholeinthedrivelinelinesupwiththeholeinthe
inputshaft.Secureinplacewiththe1/4’’x21/2’’hex
bolt(item4)andnyloninsertlocknut(item5).Tighten
firmly.
Securethekeyinplacewiththe 3/8’’setscrew(item
6) and torque at 317 lbf

Installdriveline
Assemblethehalfdrivelines(item1&2)makingsure
thegroovesarewellaligned.
Assemblethehalfdrivelines
Install the male section of the driveline into the
snowblower’s driveline by aligning the stamped mark
(item 2)(locatedbetweenthesplinesattheendofthe
shaft)withthelargegroove(item1)inthehollowtubeof
thesnowblower’sshaft.
NOTE: Only one position allows the shafts to be
insertedoneintotheother.
IMPORTANT: Incorrect assembly of the drivelines will
causevibrationswhichwilldiminishtheeffectivenessof
theaccessoryanddamagethecomponents.
Followtheinstructionsinthesubframeowner’smanualfortractorpreparation,subframepreparationandsubframe
installation. The installation instructions for the accessories and the drive mechanism are included in subframe

Unitethehalfdriveline(item2)totheshaft(item3).
Unitedrivelinetoshaft
For the 2638 tractor, put the hose extensions #
700947.
Install the appropriate hydraulic connectors on the
hoses.
Connect the flexible hoses (item 1) for the
snowblower’schuterotationtothevehicle’shydraulic
system (item 2). Read all important following
information on this page and next page before
proceedingtotheinstallationofthehoses
Unitethehosestothehydraulicsystem
IMPORTANT: If manipulating the hydraulic
commands do not create any movement, one hose
fromthehydraulicliftsystemisinterchangedwithone
hoseforthechuterotation.
NOTE: Use a coloured tie wrap (not supplied) to
identify the different hoses to simplify future
installation.
Liftparkingstand
Lift the parking stand by removing thelock pin (item
1)fromtheholeA,thenraisetheparkingstand(item
2)andsecuretheparkingstandintheraisedposition
byinsertingthelockpinintheholeB
Dotheinversetolowertheparkingstand
IMPORTANT:
*It is the user / or the person who does the in-
stallation’s responsibility to installthe hosesin
suchamannerthattheydo not comeintocon-
tactwithanymobileelementsofthevehicle(the
wheels or the subframe), sharp edge, hot sur-

IMPORTANT FOR THE 3016

3616: Make sure to
thread the hoses through the hook on the hydraulic
hose supportandthehookonthefronthitchbracket
asdonepreviouslywiththehosesforthehydrauliclift
system.
IMPORTANT FOR THE 1500series
-
1626 : Make
suretothreadthehosesthroughthefrontbumperto
avoid any contact with the exhaust system. Hold in
placewiththetwohook
-
itcableties.
IMPORTANT FOR THE 2638:Makesuretothread
the hoses behind the front loader bracket (see
picture).
IMPORTANT: Twistsinthehydraulichoseswillwear
them out prematurely. If the quick couplers are not
wellaligned,slightlyloosenthefitting(item3)inorder
torotatethefemalequickcoupler(item4).
Lubricatethe threads with hydraulicfluid andtighten
thejointat25lb.ft.
ATTENTION: Over tightening is one of the greatest
causeforoilleaks.
Testthehydrauliccontrolsinordertomakesurethat
theycoordinatewiththemovementoftheaccessory.
Iftheydonotmatch,reconnectthehosesintheright
order.

OPERATION
CAUTION
The subframe kit is to be used only to lift and
operatethesnowblower,bladeorbroom.
NOTE:Toincreasethelifespanofthecomponents,
alwaysdisengagethesnowblowerwhenitisraised.
SNOWBLOWEROPERATION
IMPORTANT:
Always inspect the hydraulic components and
hoses before using. Replace any damaged or
worn parts immediately. If you suspect a hose
leak, DO NOT useyourhandtolocateit.Usea
pieceofcardboardorwood.
a) Make sure the snowblower is clear of snow
beforeengagingthesnowblower.
b) Make sure that the auger and impeller operate
freely.
c) Startthetractorengine.
d) Before engaging the snowblower drive, always
havetheenginerunningatmediumR.P.M.
e) Operate the snowblower at maximum engine
R.P.M.
f) Always use the accessory in the Float mode.
Push the tractor’s hydraulic joystick to Float
position.

WILLTENDTOPLUGTHECHUTE.
CONTROLS
CHUTEROTATION
Usethetractor’shydraulicjoysticktoturnthechutefrom
onesidetotheother.
Ifthechutedoesnotturninthedesireddirection,switch
thehydraulichosesonthetractor.
CHUTEDEFLECTOR
Settheangleofthedeflectoraccordingtothedistance
the snow must be thrown and to prevent property
damage.Tochangethedeflectorangle,loosenthetwo
deflectorknobs&adjustthedeflectortotheappropriate
angleandretightenthetwoknobssecurely.
SNOWREMOVAL
Whenremovingsnow,donotusethesnowbloweras
a dozer blade to push snow. Allow snowblower to
ingest snow at its own speed. If the speed of your
tractor is too fast, the snowblower may become
overloaded and plug. For best results, raise the
snowblower and remove a top layer of snow. A
second pass with the snowblower will remove the
remainingsnow.
WARNING
Read the tractor Owner’s Manual carefully. Be
thoroughly familiar with the controls & proper
use of the attachment. Know how to stop the
attachment&disengagethecontrolsquickly
.
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Lower the snowblower when the vehicle is
parked.
Temperaturechangescouldchangethehydraulic
pressure, causing the snowblower to drop
unexpectedly, damaging the hydraulic
components. Failure to do this could result in
seriouspersonalinjury.
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Neverleavethedriverseatwithoutdisengaging
thesnowblower,stoppingtheengine,applying
the parking brakes and removing the ignition
key.
Neveroperateonslopesofmorethan10%.
WARNING
Handcontactwiththerotatingimpellerinsidethe
discharge chute is the most common cause of
injury associated with snowblowers. Never use
yourhandtocleanoutthedischargechute.

Donot attempttoclearpluggedchute,auger or
fanofsnowwhilethetractor'sengineisrunning.

Disengagesnowblower.

Lower snowblower to the ground and set
parkingbrake.

such as the impeller blades have stopped

Skidshoeadjustment:
LEVELPAVEDSURFACE:Adjustskidshoestoallow
3/16" to 1/4" or 5mm to 7mm clearance between
cuttingedgeandsurface.
UNEVENORGRAVELSURFACE:Adjustskidshoes
to allow 1/2" to 5/8" or 13mm to 16mm clearance
betweencuttingedgeandsurface.
CUTTINGEDGEMAINTENANCE
Verify from time to time the wearing on the cutting
edge tomake sure you do not wear out the base of
the snowblower’s chassis. This cutting edge is
reversible.
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Stopthevehicle’smotor.
Applyparkingbrake.
Removetheignitionkey.
AUGERS AND FAN SHEAR BOLT
REPLACEMENT
Shear bolts are to be considered a preventive
measure and not an assured protection. Operator
vigilanceisrequired.Thoroughlyinspecttheareas
wherethesnowbloweristobeusedandremoveall
foreignobjects.
Toavoiddamagetothesnowblower:
Useonlytheoriginalshearbolts.
#106443inbagsof10fortheaugers.
#105627inbagsof10forthefan.
The use of any other shear bolt will not insure any
protectionandmayvoidthewarranty.
IMPORTANT:ITISVERYIMPORTANTTOREPLACE
THEAUGERSINTHESAMEPOSITIONASSHOWN
IN THE DRAWING BEFORE INSTALLING THE
SHEARBOLTS.
MAINTENANCE
Check mounting bolts at frequent intervals for proper
tightness in order to prevent costly repairs. Make sure
yoursnowblowerisinsafeworkingcondition.
LUBRICATION
Driveline;
Every16hoursofuseandbeforestoringattheendof
theseason.
Gearbox:
Change the oil after the first 100 hours of use. Then
changeafterevery2500hoursorevery6months.
Thetypeofoilused:S.A.E.grade80W90.
Thegearboxshouldhaveatotalof500mlofoilorfilled
abovetheoutputshaft(seefigure).
Greasablebearings:
Greaseevery16hoursofuse.

BELTREPLACEMENT:
1) Turnsnowblowerfacedown.
2) Remove the half driveline (See snowblower
assemblysection).
3) Remove the driveline guard (item 1) by removing
thefour5/16’’x3/4’’hexbolts(item2).
4) Loosenthefive5/16’’x41/2’’bolts(item3),thefive
5/16’’ nuts (item 4) and the five sleeves (item 5)
(see location of the parts in the parts
breakdownforsnowblower).
5) Removerearsupportplate(item6).
6) Removeinputshaft(item7).
7) Changethebelt(item8).
8) Reinstall the parts by reversing the steps.
Tightenalltheboltsfirmly.
SNOWBLOWERPULLEYREPLACEMENT
1) Repeat steps 1 to 6 in the Belt Replacement
section.
2) Untighten the set screws(item 9)onthe bearings.
Only lower bearing must have set screw, the top
bearingmustnothavesetscrew
3) Remove the bearings (item 10 or 11) from the
requiredpulleys.
4) Remove damaged pulley (item 12 or 13) and
reinstallnewone.
5) Reinstallthepartsbyreversingthesteps
NOTE: Tightenthesetscrewsat94lbfin.andtighten
firmlyallthebolts.
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Parkthevehicleonaflatsurfaceoutsidein a well
ventilatedarea.
DisengagetheP.T.O.
Lowertheattachmenttotheground.
Applyparkingbrake.
Stopthemotorandremovetheignitionkey.

1) Unplugthehydraulichosesforthechuterotationand
wrapthemaroundthesnowblowerchute.
2) Removethehalfdrivelinefromtheshaft.
IMPORTANT: Ifthisstepisnotdone,itwillcause
damagestopartsofthedrivemechanismortothe
subframe.
3) Lowertheparkingstand.
4) Remove the pins (item 1) and put them in the
holes (item 2) on the upper lift arm and secure
theminplacewiththelynchpins(item3).
5) Lowertheaccessory.
SUBFRAMEDISMOUNTING
WARNING
TOPREVENTINJURIES:
Parkthevehicleonaflatsurfaceinawellventilated
area.
DisengagetheP.T.O.
Applyparkingbrake.
Wait until all moving parts have stopped before
leavingthedriver’sseat.
Usewheelchocks.
Lifttheaccessoryandstoptheengine.
Thenextsteprequiresthevehicle’shydraulicsystem.
Beawarethatthevehicleisstillrunning.
IMPORTANT:Whenthereisanaccessoryinstalled
onthevehicle,itisnotrecommendedtousethis
methodifthereisnotenoughgroundclearanceto
slidethesubframefromunderneaththevehicle.
Subframewithsnowblower:
1) Unplugthehydraulichosesforthechuterotationand
wrapthemaroundthesnowblowerchute.
2) Raisethesnowblower.
3) Removetherearpinthatunitestherearsubframeto
therearhitch.
4) Lowerthesnowblower.
ATTENTION: therearpartofthesubframewilllower
totheground.
5) RemovethedriveshaftfromthemidPTO.
NOTE:Thisstepisimportanttoavoiddamagesto
thedrivemechanismortothevehicle.
6) Removetherearhitch(optional).
7) Removethefrontpinfromthesubframe.
8) Activatethehydrauliccylindertolowerthefront
partofthesubframe.
9) Unplugthehydraulichosesfortheliftmechanism
andremovefromtheirsupports.
10)Backupwiththevehicletofreethesubframe.
Subframewithoutsnowblower:
1. Removetherearpinthatunitestherearsubframe
totherearhitch.
2. Putablockofwoodundertheliftarms.
3. Lowertheliftarmsontheblockofwood.
4. Removethefrontpinfromthefronthitchsupport.
6. Activatethehydrauliccylindertolowerthefront
partofthesubframe.
7. Unplugthehydraulichosesfortheliftmechanism
andremovefromtheirsupports.
8. Backupwiththevehicletofreethesubframe.
ENDOFSEASONSTORAGE
a) Clean snowblower and subframe thoroughly and
repaintallpartsfromwhichpainthasworn.
b) List the replacement parts that will be needed for
thenextseason.
c) Storethesnowblowerandthesubframeinadry
place.
d) FollowtheinstructionsintheLubricationsection.
